Based on our experience, we cannot recommend doing business with Robert and Sandy Bailey! They come across as a nice couple trying to help you but they are only after your money without delivering anything tangible. Robert offered to help us together with his wife with replacing and moving a retaining wall, the related landscaping and some other garden and handyman work. He presented to us numerous garden and landscaping projects he had handled for clients with subcontractors. He claimed to have excellent contacts they could use to clarify the legal and water situation in our backyard and to obtain the necessary permits and approvals. Shortly afterwards he presented an opportunity to secure soil for the landscaping work from nearby construction sites. To do so, he urgently asked for a check for several thousand dollars. When we subsequently insisted on a proper offer with job description and cost estimate he claimed the hours spent by him and his wife on phone calls, administrative work and cutting some bushes in our backyard added up to more than the check received to purchase soil. He refused to ever issue a proper offer, an invoice or any paperwork showing their name or a company name. The only tangible thing they left behind is a stack of tree cut dumped in our backyard. Based on publicly available information, "Elegant Painting Solutions" is not registered as a company in NC. We cannot recommend doing business with them.
