Never showed up! Spoke to Adam who seemed as if he was going to work with us. He said he would call back, never did. I called him again giving him the benefit of the doubt, he asked me to send him a text with me information and that he would call me back. Never did. Sent him a courtesy follow up a couple of days later...no reply, no call. Just unprofessional. If you're busy, you're busy. Just be honest with the customer.

I made the appointment a week before the service was to be performed. On the day of the service they ran into problems on another job and called to ask if I could postpone until the following day. The following morning, I was expecting them to show up at 9:00. They showed up at 10. They did, however call to say they would be delayed. They ran into problems and the service took half the day. They guys were nice. They insisted on cleaning up although I let them go so I could get on with my day. They both smelled like smoke and I am very sensitive to that kind of thing. Again, they were super nice and that is why I gave the overall rating of a B.

Appointment was made the evening before service. Arrived on time and completed work in just over an hour and was performed in a highly professional manner.. Price included all parts and labor.

Our experience with them was outstanding. They are great in every way, no other questions. They are wonderful. The guy who runs it is Adam Skorcz. He does what he says he is going to do. He is on-time and at a reasonable rate. He is just the best.

This review is late but wanted to take a moment to share with others the positive experience I had with this Newport Home Maintenance. Our repair was for a badly broken underground yard irrigation system. The repair was after the tornado of November 2013 and we lost all the trees on our property. The downed trees and large equipment used by the tree removal company unknowingly caused the damage. We contacted Newport Home Maintenance after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List. I can honestly say that after months of home repairs due to the tornado damage and dealing with a multitude of repair companies this final repair was the most positive and professional. Not only did they come when they said they would they were able to make extensive repairs saving us money, time and stress. It was a detailed job that was like putting together a puzzle due to not knowing where all the breaks had occurred underground. The gentleman who came took his time to ensure that the repair was done correctly. I'm not one to write reviews however I really can't say enough about how positive our experience was working with them. It's approximately 10 months later and the system is still working perfectly. They have earned a lifelong customer in Morehead City.

Our communication was very good.. They did what they said they would do. They were there when they said they would be there. I was very pleased with their work and attitude. I would not only recommend them but would hire them again.

The condo I rent needed repairs for the pending sale. I had several boxes of packed articles in the living room and had just washed several blankets and left over the chairs to dry. Apparently the workers thought it was OK to smoke in my nonsmoking establishment. The whole place reeked of smoke as did my freshly washed blankets. He's only reply, "Mam I had a job to do." I guess that means it's ok to smoke. Very very upset. Not sure of the cost because I rent. It was the Realtor company's responsibility.

Great. They showed up when they said they would; had to leave to get materials and we're still through with the job in under 3 hours. Price I was quoted on the phone was what the job cost. I would definitely recommend Newport Home maintenance.

It went great. The fellas showed up, on Labor Day, on time. They assessed all the work and then left to get material. They came back when they said they would and went right to work. They were friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of home repair. Their work was impeccable. They cleaned up behind themselves, and I learned so much from the two of them. No question was insignificant to them.

It went great. One person went up ladder about 20 ft and rivited on gutter which had separated. Inside, repaired a small leak in air conditioner condensation pipe and put clorox in drain for me.

A very trust worthy individual. I have used his service twice and I was very impress with is work.

Adam and Thomas came out on very short notice. They took three days to complete the repair, which included time for for the repairs to dry after each treatment/application. They took special care to clean up completely each and every time. They were very efficient and knowledgeable throughout.

Excellent work. My old house presented some problems and Adam was able to solve them all for me. The work took a couple days. Adam only charged me for the service and stuck to his initial estimate even though it took much longer than expected and required him to make trips to Lowe's, a 25 minute drive away. The storm door I purchased from Lowes was missing the handle; he went to lowes, spoke with a manager, and had them swap out a handle from another door on the spot. He helped me avoid tons of headache. The work looks great. He responded promptly to any calls I made, and only called me back when absolutely necessary. Very professional, and I am happy that I found a handyman that I'll be calling for years.

They were very professional. I had a plumbing job in the shower to do. They were in and out in about 15 minutes. They cleaned up their mess. They were pretty on time.

He always calls you back. He is friendly and prompt. I am very pleased. I can not say enough good about him. We would leave him access to the downstairs level if we were gone and never had an issue with that. The price seemed very fair. He always came when he said he would.

I had a problem with a little refrigerator, and the technician from Newport Home Maintenance discovered what the problem was. They had the refrigerator on sale at Lowe's, and when I purchased it I got a 10% discount because my late husband was in the military. Something happened with the pipe that goes in the back of the refrigerator to make ice cubes for you, it was leaking and wasn't working. That was what the tech discovered and told me. I called Lowe's and told them what happened and they came and replaced it with another one. The discounts added up to $155 which was really good. Newport Home Maintenance were very honest and truthful with me, and the charge was only about $28 which I thought was very reasonable. The tech was very good, very pleasant. He was shocked that the refrigerator was in the condition it was for a brand-new refrigerator. It distressed him that I received the refrigerator I did.

Addressed water problems at my house in one visit. There was more to do, including digging and installing a drain. He quoted a reasonable price, which I accepted. I called for follow-up weeks later; he had lost my phone number but remembered the situation and will do the work. (He works out of his house - you may get his wife if you call.) That may sound unprofessional, but my feeling is that he charges for what he actually does and knows his limitations.

They determined that the fridge needed to be replaced and I was able to purchase a new one. He was an excellent man, very courteous.

I called Newport Home Maintenance. It was not an emergency. He came by the next day and repaired the defective faucet in about 10 minutes. The two workmen were very courteous.The owner said he does all sorts of home repair work. I have been satified with the repair.ew that holds

On July 10, was after a termite inspection, I was advised a water leak had been seen under the house. Call Newport Maintenance that afternoon and since leak did not appear major told them the next day would be fine. Adam show up on time, but was unable to locate the leak. Since I also needed to have the kitchen sink faucet replaced he agreed to do it. Obtained the faucet at Lowe's and installed. About a week later the water bill came in and I knew I did have a leak. Contacted the termite inspector and he came out, went under the house and got pictures of the leak which was in a very difficult location to spot. Recalled Newport Maintenance and using the pictures, Adam was able to locate and fix the problem. Was very satisfied with his timing, work, and charges. Will be more than happy to call on him in the future.

Andy and his helper were on time and got the job done quickly and correct. Andy showed me the the problem that was supposed to be fixed prior to me purchasing the house was not done right. He explained the problem and showed me in detail how he would correct it. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone. The price was more then reasonable. Thanks Andy

We had a garbage disposal that tenants had left clogged for over a year. Adam Skorcz gave us an appointment for the day after we called and showed up promptly. He cleaned and tried to repair it but it was beyond salvaging. Instead, he installed a new one for us after fixing the plumbing under the sink (the builder had done a strange set-up where the diswasher did not drain through the garbage disposal and the pipes tended to clog frequently). He also cleared two partially clogged sink drains while there and helped us re-attach a mystery piece to the diswasher. Very nice and professional. No problems since and it has been 9 months.

Went ok but they damaged some ac duct work while putting in the insulation which was costly to have repaired by an ac man. I was not able to supervise the work otherwise the duct damage would have been obviated. I will use them again but I will pre/post evaluate their work
