From day one, which was almost two years ago now, John Pitts, Systems Consultant for Mountain Heritage Systems was with "us" all the way. When I say "us", that had to work around a pretty motley crew. We have nine British Labs, One Rescue Chow/Retriever mix, one Rescue Horse and of course my husband and I. Being that we wanted it wireless proved to be a challenging job, but one that John and MHS worked on constantly until it was perfected. In the beginning we were not living in our home, yet they always gave us a courtesy call to let us know when they would be arriving and "What would be the best time for us." They finished off the project in the last 6 months while we have been living here, and I must say they did all that they could too accomadate our living arrangements and "all" that live with us. We would try to move the dogs when we possibly could, too stay out of there way, but they re-assured us that they could work around them. It took quite awhile and quite a few days of testing, re-testing etc.,etc., alarms going, doors opening and constantly closing, which they ALWAYS closed a door, as not to let one of the "kid's" out. Being a wood home many times in the last 6 months between winter and spring in the North Carolinian Mountains of course many of their sensors moved as the wood shrunk or swelled. They always came out to fix the sensors, at no cost, until it worked properly. We cannot say enough of Johns professional manner, and Todd, Roy and especially Grady the installation PRO'S. Grady made out extensive site maps of all the sensors more than once and went over each and every one with us,all 24 windows, ten doors and all of the Carbon Monoxide alarms and settings. We surely sleep more soundly for their excellent work. We cannot wait until maybe next year when we can hire them again to fully intregrate our alarm system, with our lighting and home theatre system.
Description of Work: We wanted a very simple (in a way) Security system for our new Log Home, which has 24 Windows, and ten doors, all of various styles, sizes and too say the least not the easiest access to all. We also wanted it to be wireless, as not to ruin the look of the Hand Hewn logs, or put any holes in them. Since our home as 5 Log Burning Fireplaces it was essential that we also have Carbon Monoxide Alarms to be intregated into the system also.
