+ -1 moreAll went well from start to finish. My husband initially stopped by The Natural Stone Yard for some information, which Jeff White provided. My husband and I were concerned about how the stone would be laid on an existing wall and the weight of the stone on that wall. Jeff explained in detail and satisfactorily the installation method and why it would work in this particular corner of our home. Later we returned to the yard together and with another sales person went over many different products, including viewing photos of similar jobs completed by the yard. That same day we met with Jeff, decided on the stone style, colors, etc. He quoted a price based on the product, square footage, and application. Jeff and my husband decided on a date that suited both schedules, and the job was completed well and in a timely manner.
Description of Work: Jeff at the Natural Stone Yard helped us choose 'Carolina Rose' stone for the wall backdrop to our wood burning 'Buck' Stove. We spent time with Jeff and another sales person looking at many types and styles of stone. They were patient and helpful, explaining the advantages of the different natural and cement products available. Although my husband and I decided on the area to place the stone, it was their mason, Ivan, who had the artistic skill & ability to create a beautiful wall for our home. It wasn't an easy job as we asked that the stone continue behind and up to the top of our cathedral ceiling, accenting the Buck stove's stack. Ivan began at 9AM and finished at 8PM. He didn't break for lunch or supper. Since our home is on pilings, Ivan carried buckets and buckets of stone up the flights of stairs, up and down, up and down-whew! Thank you Jeff and Ivan for a great job. It's gorgeous, exactly what we were looking for, and adds an entirely new dimension to our great room.
