I ended up hiring another drywall crew to do the work and having to obviously pay them. I filed charges ,against Frank E. Morey, with the Craven County Sheriffs Department and have a pending case date in Small Claims Court.
Description of Work: I contracted Frank E. Morey to remove and replace 2,000 SF of drywall in my home. He informed me that he was licensed and insured and even gave me, what turned out to be, a bogus license number from another state. He walked away from the jobsite after being paid $3100.00 in advance money. I should have googled him before hiring him and I could have saved myself a lot of money and grief. The License number he gives out is actually for the State of Conn. and it is expired. BEWARE! Here is what I found when I Googled him: Grand Theft Burglary of a Dwelling Forgery Contract Fraud Deposting a check with intent to defraud Numerous Alias Please Google this guy before you hire him. Check out the website. All the information on it is from the Department of Corrections and Martin County Sheriffs Department in Florida. www.mugshots.com
