Description of Work: Was hired to do a bathroom remodel. He was to tear out old bathroom shower that was tile and floor. and replace floor and install a fiberglass shower. Keep in Mind, bathroom is only 5'x8' in size. I was only able to go down and look after work had been done. Looked good from the outside. Well, a warranty is only good as the person that gives it. This warranty is lousy. After 1 year, my tenant said the toilet was not stable. I called Mr Curran and told him the situation. He told one of his guys to call my tenant. My tenant told me he did not want that worker at his house. I called Mr Curran again and told him that he needed to go out there. He then sent either the same or maybe a different worker to drive by the house. This was about 3 days later and said that there was a contractors truck and trailer out front. I was the one doing all the calling. I told Mr Curran for the safety of my tenants that I had to call someone else. Now, Lets get to the remodel part the second time around. When new contractor pulled up the floor, he noticed that there was the old wood underneath. Shower was supported with concrete blocks. drain was not hooked up and shower was draining directly onto the floor. It completely destroyed our back bedroom floor, the entire bathroom and half of the kitchen. I called him to see what he could do to help reimburse me and was told he had no money, and offered me an old boat. I originally paid 1700 to him. New contractor gave me all receipts and I ended up paying almost $10,000 to fix his screwup. All the plumbing had to be redone as well. I asked mr curran to get on a payment plan and he said he didn't know when or how much he could pay me back. I live 3 hours away and was down there every week for about 6 weeks while work was being done. I also went by the courthouse in New Bern and filed a complaint against him.I looked him up in the court system and found other complaints against him. When the court date came, he never showed up. Low and behold, I won my case. Either way I would have won. Filed all paperwork to retrieve money from the police seizing his property, only to find out, he has no money or property of any value. I would not recommend him for any repairs of any kind.
