They did a real good job. They did a good job. They showed up when they were supposed to. They were real quick to do the quote and everything. We had a lot of bad weather and it was a little delayed. It really wasn’t their fault. They came in, put it in and left everything clean. They were missing a plumbing part. The guy came back after he got off work and did it the same day. Their price was competitive.

We have never done business with a company that went so far above and beyond our expectations like Counter Effects did. First Jared took us to Raleigh to pick out the granite slabs to be used for our counters, then Chuck sat down with us to make sure the slabs were laid out correctly. This was a very expensive granite with complex graining and movement and my wife wanted the granite fabricated to best show off the complex design nature provided in this stone. Once the measurements were completed, Chuck went to the fabricator (120 miles away) to make sure the countertops were laid out as my wife requested. Chuck corrected some of the patterns to make sure we would be satisfied and the green light was given to fabricate the counters. All of this took place on November 15th. My wife was cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the entire family in her new kitchen and we tasked Chuck with pulling off the miracle of having the counters installed before November 28th. Counter Effects pulled a rabbit out of their hat and our new counters were installed on November 26th. The installation went smoothly, the counters fit perfectly and the grain was just as we requested. Your kitchen is the heart of your home and you want the absolute best in countertops and ceramic tile then look no further than Counter Effects. Chuck was very knowledgeable about the best floor installation method for our kitchen renovation. He offered the latest in floor technology and provided a perfect job from beginning to end. If you want a very professional installation with no problems, you can trust Counter Effects. Our new granite countertops will be installed next week and I will provide a separate review for that when the work is complete.

Counter Effect Custom Surfaces gave us an excellent price and did a great job with creating beautiful countertops, but they weren't so good with other issues. We ordered a single sink and they brought a double. Their timing was hit or miss. We had two small problems. The plumbing under the sink, which had to be redone to put in the new sink, wasn't done correctly. Another issue was a mis-cut. They started to cut part of the counter before they should have, so there was this cut in the counter that needed to be repaired. It wasn't real visible, but you could see it. It took months and repeated calls to get that repaired and to get reimbursed for the plumbing problem under the sink. They finally came to fix that cut, which was done quickly and professionally, and to pay us back for the plumbing problem. In May, 2013, we contacted them to provide a top, to match the counters they had installed, for a stand-alone corner cabinet we were having made. They gave us a very good price and we had the piece in less than a week. We were very pleased with the piece and the service. All in all, they do provide very good work and excellent value.

From the time of the estimate to the time of the work was only one week, they brought all the samples to our house so we didn't have to go anywhere. I only wish that companies were this easy to deal with.
