The tech checked both systems and was very friendly and helpful answering all my questions. Just like last year, this company is A-1 in my book plus very trust worthy. These are the people to call and trust, Keep up the great work.
Description of Work: call for my spring time AC check, Tech showed up within the time requested plus he went right to work checking over systems

They were very good and I have had them twice in the last year. I thought they were a little overpriced and they did not come to do the work at the time they specified. My husband took half a day off work but they came earlier than they said they would so they repaired the unit and left us a bill. When my husband questioned why it was so expensive when they were only here at best a half hour and they said there was travel time involved and other things. We went ahead and paid the bill because it is hard to get good help in the area we live so I will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Comfort-Air of New Bern to repair my furnace.

Description of Work: My upstairs heatpump would not defrost. Tech diagnosed a sticking valve. Cycled the system to get it back operational long enough to get the part in to fix it.

My husband dealt with them. I am not sure what the final outcome was as to why we decided not to go with them. We had 3 people come in for the estimate. They were all friendly. They were fine overall. They came when they were called. They came on time too. I would consider using them again for another quote in the future.
Description of Work: We received an estimate from Comfort-Air of New Bern about a month ago for replacing our heat exchanger.

The AC quit during the hottest time of the year (100+ temps) and my mom is 79 years old. I was able to thump the t-stat and get the unit working so I thought the t-stat was bad. I called Comfort Air to schedule an appointment; I had to call twice about the schedule. The tech came out and replaced the T-stat ($100.00), then checked the unit to find out the compressor was bad. Ray the service manager contacted me about replacing the unit (17 years old) versus repairing the unit. After agreeing to replace the unit I had to call numerous times to confirm that Ray did get the message and the unit was ordered (on a Friday). On Tuesday morning I called to check if the unit was in, the secretary didn't know anything about the units that came in. After 2 more calls to them I was able to find out the unit was in and was scheduled for the next day. The unit was installed; although the tech's had to return to New Bern to pick up more parts during the installation. The unit was installed and checked by the tech's and is working perfectly. The only problem I had with Comfort Air was communications.
Description of Work: The AC system had quit; at first the T-Stat was replaced because we thought that was the problem. The service tech checked the unit and it was found to be a bad compressor and the unit was 17 years old. Ray advised us to replace the unit instead of repairs.

Tech came to house the day after I called. I already knew unit was shot. House built in approx. 1979 and this seemed to be original unit, which I had work done on it by others the last two years. Tech checked everything including electric supply. Ray joined him and went through the whole house and attic checking the existing supply and return facilities as well as the size of the of the home. I was given a verbal and a written statement about the system. Upgrade in size of unit, plus increasing supply and returns to effectively create a comfortable environment. Appointment made and kept. Tech took all debris from old system, cleaned and swept up afterwards. Even asked for vacuum cleaner in the upstairs area. System working great - it is more comfortable in those added rooms than it has been since I have lived here. I had one small problem the day after; called - response was immediate. Estimated cost was right on.
Description of Work: Required new heat pump and air conditioning unit - existing pump had never been resized when additions made to home prior to my purchasing it. Extra rooms were not properly supported for supply and return vents. Larger vent necessary in ceiling. Old vent and duct work removed. Existing opening enlarged, new ducts installed, new supply and returns in added rooms, new unit, new thermostat, new breaker and all debris removed. Work completed.
