How anyone can memorize and repeat the Old Testament, and yet not be able to complete a one-page punch list escapes me. The house was delivered to us in second-hand condition. The painter did not return, the brick mason did not return. We had to have the house rodent-proofed by changing the vents. The plumber and flooring people did follow-up properly, and did a good job. We spent literally thousands of dollars to complete the house and correct the defects.
Description of Work: Angie's List did not exist at the time the builder of our home abandoned us. Mr. Paris Burbage of Terra Ciea Builders actually built a pretty good house. But, (1) at closing a list of problems was made & given to Mr. Burbage. (2) Little or nothing was done. A letter was sent to Mr. Burbage, the attorneys, and the realtor. This got Mr. Burbage's attention, but very little to nothing was done. (3) The fault is mine. I took his word to complete the punch list, and I did not hold any money in escrow for this purpose. Make sure that you do not make the same mistake!
