BONNIE ROSE APPRAISAL SERVICES

On 10/11/11 we gave Bonnie Rose's Team Estate Sales and Liquidations Co. approx. $3500 worth of furniture, rugs, antiques, etc. for her company to sell at their warehouse sale to be held in Dec. as we downsized to a smaller home. We left for our Fl. res. and did not return until April. When I did not hear from her re. the sale of our items, I phoned her, and she said she would get back to me. I phoned her again and again, and spoke with the business manager who said she would check into it and get back to me....never did. In Jan./'12,we received a check for $548.28 with some sort of ersatz explanation of what sold. For example: we gave them 8 rugs, one being a buffalo skin and a Persian rug we paid approx. $1200 for in 2001. Her report stated that 3 rugs were sold for $435. She explained that all same type items are 'lumped'into the same catagory, and it was impossible for them to break down the individual prices paid for each item. Huh? She could not even tell us which items were sold in the Dec. sale. Some were held over to the Apr./'12 sale. We asked her for a more detailed account, and she finally sent paperwork stating the items either sold in the Dec. OR Apr. sale.Huh? By now we were totally confused. She thinks she lost a mirror we gave them. Huh? Please stay away from this operation, if you can call it that.....also a userous 45% commission.

On the website they list senior services. I contacted them to see if they could sell some of my friends items in an upcoming sale. They agreed to come over & look at the items. Ms. Rose & her associate came & were thrilled with the items. They said they would have no problem getting top dollar. They charged 40% commission, which was 10% more than they quoted on the phone. After a reasonable amount of time had passed after the sale, she had not received a check. That's when the trouble began. I emailed them,& called & left messages several times with no response. Finally,after hounding them repeatedly, she received a check. What a surprise! The check was clearly not 60% of the sales. We had visited the sale & saw the prices. After more hounding we finally got a faulty itemized receipt. We went round & round with Ms Rose, she yelled & cursed at us for questioning her,& accused us of just wanting more money. My friend, with health problems, decided not to pursue any further. What a sham.
