Description of Work: They cleaned our gutters. We have had several family issues keeping us occupied, but we were very happy with them!

Description of Work: I did hire Zimmerman Enterprises, dba Kanga Roof, who advertised in your magazine. Mark Zimmerman took it upon himself to order a satellite picture and to call the claims adjuster to update the estimate, which he emailed to me. He proved to me that he was eager to do the work. His crew worked quickly, covered my bushes to protect them, and made a huge mess -- it was raining roofing for a while -- which they conscientiously cleaned up -- so much so that the only roofing nails I found were one (ONE!) in the front yard, and several where the dumpster had been parked in the driveway. They were here two days. And they came back a second time to make sure everything was pristine. Mark had the shingle manufacturer's representative look at the roof where it was a slightly different color, and the rep explained that Atlas coats its shingles with talc so they will not stick together. It would come off after the first rain, he said, and he was right. Mark had upgraded the shingles from the adjuster's estimate of replacement cost, and I wound up out of pocket for only a little more than the deductible.

Description of Work: The heavy storm of the previous friday, blew a 3" diameter/20' long dead limb onto my roof, piercing the shingles and sheathing substrate. I used Angie's List to select a local "A"'rated roofer. George [technician] from Zimmerman's Enterprises returned my call to Zimmerman's within one hour and made an appointment to inspect the damage and quote the repair. George arrived on time, assessed the extent of the damage, and gave a reasonable quote. Having confidence in the "A"' rating in Angie's List, I signed a contract to tear off the damaged shingles, replace the plywood sublayment, replace two gutter downspouts, clean out the gutters, and install gutter guards. All work except the storm damage repair was already in my plans. George said the work would take 2-3 hours. George arrived initially at 11:30, spent 45 minutes inspecting the damage to be repaired, the extra work I had already planned for, filling out the contract then left to gather materials. By 7:00 pm, all work was completed beautifully [George even caulked around vents the original roofers had neglected], all debris removed, the bill paid, and George was on his way to another job. Time and heavy rains will prove the ultimate quality, but for now, the quality work and the professionalism are extremely satisfying and I would not hesitate to use George and Zimmerman's again. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Last year we had leak in the roof and we could not afford to have the whole roof replaced, Mr. Zimmerman came out and gave us an estimate for a patch job. We were very please with his work and will call him to have the whole roof replaced for the spring in 2009. He gave us a great price for the shingles and the work that will be involved, he explained what needed to be done to prevent another leak until we replace the roof.

Description of Work: Mr. Zimmerman did answer the phone, which is more than I can say for some folks. However, he was bordering on rude regarding replacing a shingle on my roof. It was obvious that it wasn't worth their time and that he didn't care a bit if anyone helped us. He offered no referral and was generally unhelpful.

Description of Work: They removed and replaced 4 vents on roof which were cracked and leaking, and sealed. They had to take off a bunch of shingles to do the work, and they replaced with some which matched.

Description of Work: Installed architectural shingles on older home with steep pitch roof. Included complete tear off of 2 layers of shingles with minimal repair of rotten wood.
