I hired G4 home services back in first week of August to complete installation on a screened in porch in my back yard in an area that’s 10x12. The quote he provided me was for $1,900. My wife and I decided to go with G4 and he began installation on the 5th of August. Between the date he begins to the date he “completed” was a total of about 3 weeks. The weather did play a role since it was raining a lot during that time and we delayed installation due to the bad weather. However, when he did come back to complete the job my wife and I were not happy about his work, there were so many mistakes and so many gaps and things were obviously not going the way we wanted it to. I spoke to him about him and about all the issues I had seen and he promised to fix all the issues and told me to “Trust his process” that once he was completed it would all look different and so we did. Friday August 16th during his last part of the installation. My wife and I were absolutely furious about how he installed the door and finally got fed up with his work and lack of skills every piece of wood he cut was always crooked or short and you can tell either he had no experience or didn’t have a clue to what he was doing. I paid him 70% of the remaining amount. With a another promise that he would come back and install a new door! My wife and I finally decided to ask him to not come back since we noticed that all the mistakes we had mentioned earlier in the installation we’re never fixed and he had continued the job without fixing the mistakes and continued to make more mistakes which lead to my wife firing him as a contractor and looking to see how much it would cost to fix everything he had done wrong. After 3 different contractors have came by no one can believe the workmanship that was done in the first place. It’s going to cost me $900-$1,000 to fix everything and have a new door installed.
