Beware! Beautiful (Coretec Plus) product and perfect installation - but the estimator missed the fact that there was glue under the carpet and we were charged and additional $395 over the estimate to cover it up.

I actually decided to go with them because of some recommendations in the area from some people that also had flooring done with them and they are a local owned company. We got a good price because we paid cash. Had we gone paid in some other form it would have been higher. Their pricing is pretty good. I mean, they're a lot lower than some of the other bigger names. I don't know if that's just because they're family owned and operated. They're not the highest out there. But depending on the carpet you get they're not the lowest either. It's pretty fair. They're competitive. If you're willing to pay cash you get $400 or $500 off. Their work is guaranteed. I had an issue with some padding. I guess, the padding from the manufacturer was kind of faulty. So after we worked on the carpet, like two weeks it started making this crackling noise, almost like you were stepping on bubble wrap. I had called him and they came out that very afternoon, ripped up that portion, replaced the padding and put that down. I've had no problems since. I would give them A+. They did really good work. They're going to do my kitchen and foyer as well. They're going to put tile in the kitchen and laminate in the foyer. They also did my mom's flooring too because I highly recommended them for her. So they did her flooring as well and they did an excellent job.

Floors installed in kitchen and bathroom areas are fine. Floors installed in bedrooms and living room are terrible. I specifically asked for a floor that was scratch proof since I own a large dog. Floor scratches very easily and there are scratches everywhere. Floor has a very dull cloudy appearance and is lumpy in several places. Eastman's came out to look a couple of times but did not do anything to replace or fix floor. Eastman's denied responsibility and blamed cloudy appearance on cleaning lady hired by contractor. Floor is made by Shaw's and is called Cameron plank plus. Buyer beware on warranty, they do not cover scratches and have a ridiculous maintenance policy: "sweep, dust, mop or vacuum Shaw LVT flooring DAILY, or more frequently if needed," and although I sent samples of damage to Shaw's at my own expense, they blamed cloudy appearance on cleaning products and said they do not cover scratches. Shaw's sent out an inspector but again nothing was done to fix or repair floor. I moved into a brand new house but my floor does not look new. There are also some separations between some of the planks. Eastman's noticed this but said it was not unusual. Very disappointed with their service and my "new" floors.

They will be the ones I will be contacting for the work to be done.? They are a family owned business and it is very easy to talk to them.

I called Eastman Carpets and I spoke with George.? He quoted me a price for replacing the carpet.? It was a little higher than other quotes that I got, but he's local, and its always good to have a local provider for various jobs.? Other than being high on the quote, Eastman Carpets provided a good product/service and I would?surely?use them in the future.

We got the price and then it did not go any farther.

It was very good experience. It was a fair price. Service was very good. I was very pleased with everything. They were very prompt. They did a nice job. If I need something else yes I would. I would recommend using them again.

We went to many businesses selling carpet in the New Bern area. Other than Lowe's, none of these businesses listed the cost of the carpet, the padding or installation on the sample. The sales person would simply asked the general dimensions of the room and quote us a price. That made us uneasy. Eastman's carpets was the only independent store that listed the cost of the carpet, padding and installation on each sample. Because this is a family owned business in business for decades, because they were quite knowledgeable about different kinds of carpeting, how they were woven, stain resistance, etc., and because their price was quite reasonable considering the quality of the carpet, padding and installation, we decided to give them our business. We could not have been happier, both in our dealings with this company, as well as their installation people. We bought carpeting for our living room and indoor/outdoor carpeting for our screened porch. We were given excellent advice throughout the process. The installation of both types of carpeting was flawless and we've never had to call to get it re-stretched, etc. In short, this is a great company to do business with. Highly recommended!!

They did a terrible job. They didn't use glue in the middle of the room so it started falling apart. They refused to fix it.

I would definitely recommend using them. They had a good price. They did a good job. They did what they said they were going to do. The quality of the work was good.
