 + -1 moreI had a motion sensor light that no longer worked, but had power, but wouldn't work with the switch. The fixture was only 5 yrs old. It took him literally 5 minutes to fix it. He charged me $100, he said it could have bettermmm$150, but he was in the area.. i feel i was taken advantage of. I had used hin a few years ago and here only charged $75 to put in 3 light fixtures, which was very reasonable. I understand pitching goes up, but i am seriously disappointed in the service today as i was definitely over charged and taken advantage of. Sadly, I will no longer use him or refer him. Had i known. I rod have shopped around. He had been very fairly priced there last time i used him... but not this time. Very disappointed.

 + -1 moreMike is very efficient and his work is excellent. I hired him on three separate occasions this year as I had several tasks to be completed. No task seems to big for him and he is reliable and quick to respond. He cleans up the area after he is done and his work is done neatly. He helped me fix a number of issues with my outlets as well as installing a number of new outlets needed. I would highly recommend him for your electrical needs!

Description of Work: They did several things over the course of several weeks. We bought a house and some circuits weren't working so they fixed that and added ground fault (another one) so all kitchen was covered. He put in 220vac for the compressor in garage. Added new light to closet. And added new bath exhaust vent. He may not be cheap but is fair honest on time and does excellent work. And he is fast.

 + -1 moreGreat service. Definitely a busy guy, so made a few visits before actually coming over to complete the work. What I LOVED was that he let me help him so I could save on the costs. I pulled a string from the circuit box to the area and then he came by helped get the wires through and finished up all the connections. I will absolutely use him again if he's not overbooked. :)

 + -1 moreGave Mike a call on Monday morning after our dryer stopped working. He promptly returned my call and informed me he could be at my house in under an hour. He was very knowledgeable and quickly began diagnosing the problem. He replaced the faulty breaker and inspected the other ones. He ended up tightening all of the wires in the main breaker box and secured the main power feed to the house(it had come loose). He gave me estimates for future updates we may want to do as well. I would call Mike Wilson again in a heartbeat. Great service!

 + -1 moreCalled the provider around 7:45 pm and left a message after noticing a burning smell coming from our basement ceiling. The call was returned by Mike within a few minutes and an appointment arranged for the next morning. Mike immediately located the cause of the burning smell (a failed ballast) and replaced it with an electronic ballast that was in stock on his truck. The entire service call took only about 15 minutes. Mike was very professional and courteous. I intend to use him in the future for any of my electrical needs.

Description of Work: First time using Race City Electric. Came on a Friday afternoon and spent 3 1/2 hours installing an exhaust fan/light combo in master bath shower, removing old broken light out of shower, removing old exhaust fan out of master bath, installing a new outlet on family room wall, and replacing one existing outlet in garage. Cost $250 including labor and all supplies, except for exhaust fan/light combo which I purchased myself at Lowe's. Came back following Thursday afternoon and spent about 3 1/2 hours installing two new additional outlets in garage, one new waterproof outlet on front of house, replacing one existing outlet on front of house with a new waterproof outlet, and installing a special grounding switch for fan/light combo in master bath. Cost $350 including labor and all supplies. Total cost $600 for 7 hours of work, including all supplies except for the exhaust fan/light combo.

Description of Work: New lights installed in 2 closets.Closets did not have lighting so switches also had to be installed. Crawl space had only a light bulb and string. Switches were installed as well as 4 lights. Also installed new plug in kitchen center island.
