JC Byrd Plumbing

I had a leak small leak at the septic distribution box. JC determined that the casing was not cracked but the clean-out cap had worked loose. JC cleaned out the box from some root infestation and secured the cap to prevent it from working loose again. JC is very personable and professional and I would recommend him to others.

I have used him multiple times. He is a nice guy, easy going and his charges are more than reasonable.

I contacted JC Byrd on a Monday evening about an outside leak I noticed when I returned home from work. It had been very, very cold (below freezing!) and I was concerned that the pipe burst. JC said he'd be right out - and he was! He came right over, took a look at the leak and said it was likely a faulty gasket and he could come out and repair it the next day (it was very late, dark, and cold that night) which I thought was amazing. Then when I asked how much I owed him for coming over right away, he said nothing since it wasn't a bad fix and he was in the area. Service and professionalism like this just don't exist much anymore, but JC Byrd is a true professional and I will definitely call him again and refer him to all my friends.

I have used this company numerous times and will continue to do so for all of my plumbing needs. This company does excellent work and in a timely manner.

THE GUY WAS VERY NICE, DID GOOD WORK IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER LEAVING NO MESS AND I FELT THE CHARGES WERE VERY REASONABLE. HE CAME OUT QUICKLY AFTER I CALLED THE PROBLEM IN. I WOULD USE HIS SERVICE AGAIN. THE COST WAS 85$ FOR TRAVEL AND LABOR FOR ONE HOUR, AND $15 FOR MATERIALS.

I called at 9am and left a message which he returned at 9:01 (seriously). Said he could come right away but I pushed him back to 10:30 - he arrived a few minutes early. He located the problem and unclogged the drain in approx 45 minutes and was very professional throughout.

I called on 10/25/06. Work was done on 10/25/06. Wow. Mr. Byrd was very professional, clean and fast and did not waste any time. I particularly like the way he kept things clean while working. I recommended him to a neighbor friend and he fixed her problem the next day. I am glad I picked Mr. Byrd to do this work for me. I will hire him anytime. He also arrived early, which is always better than late.

Excellent. On time, followed through and gave good estimate.

Mr. Byrd answered the phone personally when I called him about 3 PM on a Saturday. He stated that he was responding to another emergency at the moment, but would call me back just as soon as he could to let me know if he could take care of our problem. Did I fail to mention that he usually doesn't take calls in Concord? I was desperate, and he could tell. Within 15 minutes he called back to get directions to our home. He arrived promptly, identified the problem, did everything he could that day, (a new shower handle & valve needed to be purchased to finish the job), and made arrangements to return on Sunday. Again, he arrived on time, finished the job, cleaned the work area totally, and only charged us about 1/2 of what we expected for about 4 hrs of work on a weekend! He saved us so much in not only money, but also anxiety and stress over the situation. This is one fine gentleman!

Mr Byrd came out promptly on a Sunday night and charged a reasonable fee. This was the third service call to our home and once again, we're happy customers.

They were wonderful! This was my first Angie's List experience, and I am hooked! I am also hooked on JC's promptness and professionalism. I highly recommend them!

He was an exceptionally nice man and did not charge me because he was in the area (he was here for about 30 min).

JC Byrd was on time (actually slightly early!), he was extremely professional and best of all-- fixed my problem in very short order. This was the best experience I have ever had with a plumbing service! I will definitely use JC Byrd again.

I'd recommend JC for relatively easy tasks and consider others for more difficult ones. He is very accommodating and friendly. Easy to work with. He sometimes ran a little late.

Fantastic. He came the same day I called. Gave me the exact time he would be there. Was on time, pleasant, and professional. Did a nice job, explained everything he did. If I ever have a plumbing need I will be calling Mr. JC Byrd and recommending him to others. Very clean, did not make or leave any mess. The kitchen drain was linking underneath. The drain on the sink needed to be re-caulked. Mr. Byrd replaced the drain fixture. While performing the work he noticed that the drain hose for the dishwasher was not properly installed. He fixed that as well. I never had a nicer plumbing experience. I would call this company back in a heart-beat.

I've use him before and had excellent results. He is prompt and friendly and does his job in a professional manner. The price was fair for the work that he performed. I would use him again.

MR. BYRD WAS VERY PLEASANT EASY TO DO BUSINESS WITH AND PERFORMED WORK THE SAME DAY I CALLED. HE EVEN HONORED AN OLD ANGIE'S LIST HOURLY RATE EVEN THOUGH HE DIDN'T HAVE TOO.

WORK WAS PERFORMED IN A VERY PROFESSIONAL MANNER AT AN EXTREMELY REASONABLE CHARGE. THE PLUMBER WAS QUITE COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT IN CONDUCTING THE WORK. HE EVEN INSTALLED A NOT-WELL-KNOWN (AND MOST LIKELY NOT OFTEN USED AS IT WAS NOT INSTALLED IN THE ORIGIN SET-UP) WATER HAMMER PREVENTING STANDPIPE. SO, OBVIOUSLY, WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS QUITE THE CONSCIENTIOUS AND THOROUGH CRAFTSMAN. THANKS J.C.

MR BYRD RESPONDED PROMPTLY AND ARRIVED WITHIN 1 HOUR OF SCHEDULED TIME, WHICH IS REASONABLE GIVEN THE UNPREDICTABILITY OF PLUMBING WORK. EVERYTHING WORKED FINE AFTER HE WAS DONE. MY ONLY ISSUE IS THAT THE PORCELAIN FINISH ON THE INSIDE OF THE TOILET BOWL DID GET A BIT SCRATCHED UP FROM THE STEEL DEVICE USED, BUT MR BYRD SAID THIS WAS UNAVOIDABLE GIVEN THE DIFFICULT BLOCKAGE PROBLEM. WILL USE HIM AGAIN WHEN WE HAVE THE NEED.

HE WAS ON TIME AND I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN. REASONABLY PRICED AND VERY POLITE.

I CALLED JC AT 4:30 PM ON A WEDNESDAY. HE RETURNED MY PHONE CALL THAT EVENING AND WAS AT MY HOUSE THE FOLLOWING MORNING. HE CHECKED THE FITTINGS AND CONFIRMED THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE MY WATER HEATER. HE GAVE ME THE OPTION OF GOING TO LOWE'S/HOME DEPOT MYSELF AND PURCHASING A HOT WATER HEATER MYSELF, AND HE WOULD PERFORM THE INSTALLATION OR LETTING HIM HANDLE THE PURCHASE OF A NAME BRAND HEATER AND INSTALLING. I CHOSE THE LATTER. JC CAME BACK AN HOUR LATER WITH A NEW RHEEM WATER HEATER. HE REMOVED THE OLD HEATER AND INSTALLED THE NEW ONE. THE JOB WAS DONE VERY VERY WELL. JC WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL/COURTEOUS. HE TOOK AWAY ALL DEBRIS. YOU WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN HE WAS THERE IF IT WASN'T FOR THE NEW HEATER SITTING THERE. HE WORKS BY HIMSELF (ONE OF THE REASONS I CHOSE HIM), AND HIS PRICE WAS EXTREMELY REASONABLE. I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY HIRE HIM AGAIN!

SATISFIED WITH THE WORK, THE COST, AND THE SERVICE. HE RESPONDED SAME DAY TO FIX LEAKING PIPE. HANDLED ADDITIONAL REQUEST FOR WORK. RETURNED PROMPTLY FOR FOLLOW-UP WORK.

MR BYRD RETURN MY CALL THE SAME DAY AND CAME AND DID THE JOB THAT FOLLOWING MORNING. HE DID SUCH A GREAT JOB. HIS WORK WAS VERY NEAT AND PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLUMBER.
