Hhgregg

In Mid October I went to the Hhgregg store in Downers Grove IL and selected an appliance package that had been advertised in their weekly flyer. Not 100% sure whether I will be moving, I reconsidered and went back within a few weeks to upgrade the appliances I had purchased. My total purchase went from around $3000.00 to $5126.25 and would have been higher if the associate had remembered to add in the microwave I told him I wanted. Yes ~ after making my selections, the associate entered my order, accepted my personal check for payment and ONLY AFTERWARDS realized that the microwave as well as a fan for $8.00 had not been included in the purchase. Realizing that I too have made some errors in my life, we went though the process of entering the microwave order into the system, he again took my personal check only to come back ten minutes later to advise their system will not accept two numerically sequential personal checks. Not having a credit card with me he told me I and quot;could come back and make the paymentand quot;! Then he brought me the $8.00 fan and took me to the register to pay for it. ALL I could think was I would have thrown in the $8.00 fan for the frustration of what I had just gone through. I later found the same exact microwave in Lowes for a little less with a half the price installation charge, and opted to go with Lowes. Not having purchased applies in quite a few years and unaware of the quick delivery possibility, there were conflicts with getting the installation scheduled, which I would not have anticipated to be a problem, but again I was told I could have the dishwasher delivered with the other items and call in later to schedule the install. Because I had been told by one of the store managers that they will not honor certain parts, if not all of the warranty if they don't install the dishwasher, I called today to do schedule, and only then was told they can't take credit cards over the phone if you haven't previously used them at their store, and they can't take checks over the phone, but I can come into the store and make payment. I'M EXHAUSTED AND DON'T CARE ABOUT THE WARRANTY ANYMORE... IT'S WAY TOO HARD TO WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. I'LL HIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO INSTALL THE DISHWASHER!

I would say they are very good. I found the sales people to be very courteous. I pretty much knew what I wanted when I walked in and they were pretty good as far as identifying and answering some of the questions that I had. Their prices were comparable and reasonable.
