They did a terrific job. They pressure washed everything before they painted it. They were very consciousness. They were here on time, they were able to finish the job quickly. The owner was prompt in returning phone calls. I have recommended them to others.

Though my kitchen/family room area is a large space and there are many cabinets to paint around, they were able to finish the entire job in one day. Also, the walls were in bad shape prior to their work; I had tons of little holes from framed pictures and the ceiling had a crack in it. They spent quality time prepping the walls and ceiling to make them smooth before even starting to paint. The ceiling was even painted strategically to blend in with the ceiling of the hallway -- something I would have never thought of but their attention to quality work made them realize. I am pregnant and couldn't move my big furniture out of the way before they came, but they kindly moved my furniture for me and covered everything with plastic wrap so as not to get drips on any of my stuff. Previously, I had used different painters for other rooms that had dripped paint into the wood grain of the floors -- this was not a problem with Greg's guys at all. I couldn't find a single drip. And the one or 2 little missed spots were quickly fixed when I pointed them out. The guys also spent time cleaning up dust from sanding and removed all their trash when finished. Unlike other painters, they left my bathroom and kitchen sink free of paint and not clogged up. I am very detail oriented and examined their work carefully the next morning in daylight but found no flaws. I am so pleased and would recommend them to anyone. I plan to use them again the next time I need painters. Their work was perfection!!!

Greg came to my house to discuss and evaluate and give the dollar estimate. He understood my concerns about the delicacy of the ceiling composition. He determined what kind of caulk would be best and the workers brought that top quality caulk with them on the day the work was scheduled through Meredith. The workers arrived on time. Julio came along with Elmer and he explained in detail to Elmer how the job was to be done. I was at first somewhat concerned about the understanding and translation being down through levels from Greg to Julio to Elmer but I was pleasantly surprised at how very well the job went. It turned out quite well. And they cleaned up after themselves. I would use them again.

needed callback for deck repair but otherwise no significant issues

This company is fantastic. We installed new Andersen doors and windows with unfinished oak on the inside. We contracted with Greg to stain the doors and windows. We also painted the family room. The job required 3 days, and the staining and painting looks perfect! Everything was done in a timely and professional manner. I would absolutely give this company an A+++ rating for quality and price.

We had seen the signs for work performed by Greg's Custom Painting in numerous locations throughout our neighborhood. We researched ratings and reviews on Angie's list and decided to get an estimate for the work we needed to have done at our home. Greg came out and gave us a quote that we felt was very fair. He helped us select the best quality paint for our project. We scheduled the work and he was gracious in working with us to find lodging arrangements for our two dogs while the work was being done. The crew did a great job of protecting our furnishings and the areas of the house not being painted. They also cleaned up their materials each day so that no mess remained. Overall, we were very pleased and plan to use Greg and his team for other upcoming projects!

Greg and his team were very professional. They were on time and took care in making sure that our furniture, countertops, floors, etc. were completey covered before they began painting. On the day of the painting Greg made some good recommendations that we agreed too. It was a very enjoyable experience and we will be using them again. Highly recommend Greg and his team. We are so happy with the way the rooms turned out.

My estimate appointment was missed, due to external reasons, and when I went to call Greg back to reschedule, he never called us back nor made one effort to gain our business back. It was very frustrating! I left several messages, and made several phone calls to again, try and reschedule an estimate appointment. I do not recommend him as a Painter, as we could not even get him to come out to our home first. Don't bother calling for an estimate. It won't happen! Extremely upsetting when you do read good things about him, but the truth is, he does not return your calls. Again, don't bother with this painting business. Not worth the time or hassle.

I got three quotes from contractors on Angie's list and Greg's Custom painting provided the most complete typed estimate that included quote for repairing wood rot. Other contractor glossed over need to repair rotting wood. Greg's also has staff carpenter to repair wood damage so you do not need to deal with more than one contractor. Workers were clean and left my home as they found it except now wood is repaired and all trim painted. I have vinyl siding. Very pleased with work and fair pricing. For any future painting needs I will call Greg's.

Greg and his staff were professional from the beginning. Showed up on time or called/emailed for every appointment. The process was clean and did not interrupt our day. The paint job was perfectly done and worth every penny we spent. In addition, Greg agreed to build an additional closet space for one bedroom. This was also done on-time, on budget and perfectly completed. We love everything about the work and the experience. Probably the first time I have ever had a company do what they said they would do and perform such quality as what we received with Greg and his crew. When we are ready to do our downstairs and outside painting, we will use Greg again.

I ran a competitive bid process with 3 competent bidders. Each came out to inspect the house. Greg's proposal was the most thorough and professional. He was prompt and provided a lot of insight. My recommendation to anyone doing this is to make all bidders bring a ladder to do a complete and thorough estimate to avoid future change orders but to also maintain an apples to apples comparison.

They were professional. They came in and said that they would do it in a timely manner and they did. Their price was reasonable compared to the other quotes we had. Their response was wonderful on this first job, but when we asked them to come back to give us a quote for inside of the home it took them a little longer to get back to us.

I contacted Greg based on his high reviews on Angie's List, as well as knowing others in my neighborhood that used him and were happy with his work. Greg's worker's were prompt, courteous, professional, and they cleaned up at the end of each day. I had a good bit of rotted wood to replace and they used PVC material for replacement. All of the work looks great! I have yet to hire a painter that I would use again, but will definitely hire Greg again in the future for any exterior or interior work.

We had several painters come out to give us estimates prior to scheduling the work. Greg was by the far the most professional and the most thorough in his estimate. The estimate not only gave a material and labor quote but also included the specific number of paint coats needed and the sheen of paint that would be used and the other work that was included (sheet rock repairs/base boards & trim needing paint/etc). Finally, we were given an initial estimate of 5 days to complete the job. Greg's quote was the lowest in terms of cost and estimated time to complete the job. He did take in to account a discount for mentioning Angie's List. Greg showed up on time with his crew the first day as scheduled. I was impressed with the amount of dry wall preparation they did on the first day (the bulk of the first day was devoted to this) prior to even picking up a brush. All of the painting was done with brushes and rollers. They were extremely flexible in working with us to determine the order in which they would paint the rooms in our house (as we were moving in at the same time). His crew was professional and cordial. We had no problem leaving them alone at the house while we ran errands. They even worked on Sunday as they knew how anxious we were to finish moving in. They also accommodated ad hoc requests during the job (removed wired sconces and repaired the drywall behind). The best part was they were able to finish the job 2 days prior to the estimated completion date. So they finished painting 2,000 square feet in 3 days (walls, ceilings, and baseboards). Their work was impeccable. They had to do just a couple of touch ups when we walked the house after they finished up. Very small touch ups as expected. All in all, I will not hesitate to call Greg the next time we need any painting needs. They were detailed, professional, reasonably priced, and extremely easy to work with. Payment was easy and we were able to pay the entire balance once the job was completed.

Our house had not been stained since 1980's and really needed updating. It was a dark brown. We received 3 quotes and were most impressed with Greg's Painting, as he spent the most amount of time really evaluating our needs and wants. They do caulk, caulk, caulk like they advertise. We were so impressed with Greg's responsiveness to any situation that came up. His crew is awesome. They showed up on time and worked hard throughout the day. When the paint showed up... it was not what we wanted through no fault of Greg's... that was fixed in less than two hours. When we found some undiscovered wood issues... and a carpenter was there within hours to do the repairs. Everything thing that we asked for we got with a smile and no waiting for days to get the additional repair work done. On final inspection, we were totally happy and yet Greg came out and made sure that everything met his expectations and had a few things corrected to his high standards. We would highly recommend this company. We were planning on selling our home and now it looks so incredible... that we have decided to stay. The initial start date changed due to the abundant amount of rain we had late spring, but he also worked with our schedule as well. I found his crew to be extremely clean and respectful of our house, plants and property. As we found additional work as we progressed , ie. a garage door that we decided to replace instead of repair, wood rot, etc. Greg worked with us on the pricing and schedule. I found the tracking of the adds and subtracts easy to follow and felt we were treated very fairly. In regards to payment, there are a couple of progress payments and at the end the final payment is given when both parties reach agreement. We will use them when we paint the inside of our house and would highly recommend them to others in the future. They are a keeper!!

Everything went very well, great communication, the crew was very responsive and did a great job. At the completion there was a walk through to make sure all was good, would highly recommend.

The experience exceeded my expectations. Greg was on time and highly professional in estimating the work. His fee was competitive and we scheduled the work a month in advance. His crew arrived right on schedule and worked practically non-stop for 3 days. They are artists! They caulked, filled holes, repaired drywall cracks, primed and sanded everything before cracking open a can of paint. They covered all furniture and took great pains to insure that computers, printers, etc would not be impacted. When they left, everything was back where it should have been and they had left zero mess for me to clean (other than the inevitable drywall dust). Greg called to see if I had anything that need touching up and I couldn't find a thing. He brought one of his painters anyway and he found a few places that needed a little more caulk or some trim that needed a touch of paint. I never would have noticed it. This was Phase One of my re-painting and you can bet Greg's team will be my choice for Phase 2.

Greg provided a detailed description of the work to be done and accurate estimate of cost including my Angie's List discount. He suggested an excellent quality stain and color which I reviewed at the paint store and agreed with his suggestion. The work was completed in just a few days time. The crew were very professional, courteous and worked efficiently. I will certainly use Greg's Custom Painting when it is time to paint my house.

We received 3 quotes to pressure wash, repair any wood rot, and paint the exterior of our home. We are not the type to go with the lowest bid, but the one we feel will do the best work. When Greg came out, he was very professional and found a lot more wood rot than either of the other bidders. We felt he was more thorough in his walk around which made us feel that his estimate was more accurate, and he just happened to be the lowest bid. After his crew started the work, Greg came out to check on things. I talked to him about painting our deck (which we hadn't planned to do originally) as well as four interior walls that we couldn't get to. I was not expecting them to do the additional work right away, but Greg gave us a very fair estimate and had his crew do the work while they were there. The biggest test was what my very picky husband would think of their work. He was completely impressed! Their work was spotless, their cut-ins are perfect, and their attention to detail impressive! They were all very professional, from Greg and his wife, to his crew! We were VERY pleased with the job they did...very clean, no drips, polite, trustworthy and professional. I've already recommended them to several of our friends and neighbors, and we would definitely use them again!
