Description of Work: Chris does good work when he shows up. He repeatedly missed days on the job and put the entire project weeks behind. It got to be a joke with the General Contractor as to whether he would show up or not. He talked us into upgrading our electrical panel for our entire home and as of today, more than a year after the project has been completed, the panel is still not marked and we haven’t passed our electrical inspection from the county. I told our GC to use a different electrical contractor for future projects. This guy will just slow down your job. I’ve wasted calls and texts to him asking him to come back and fix issues, he’ll say he’s going to show and then doesn’t. Much better and more reliable electrical guys in the Mooresville area. I will not use him again.

Description of Work: took time off from work to meet Mr. Hill to review work needing to be done. He told me he would get back to me with a price in a day or two. He never did. I waited a couple of weeks, called and emailed him to follow up. He never responded. Waste of my time. Very unprofessional.

+ -1 moreThe provider took the job I called about. He asked that I send the info in an email. I did, he said give him a day or 2. I did. I never heard back from him. I understand people get busy, as I do myself in my line of work! I followed up with a second email, still no reply. I gave it another day and then I called him. He said something along the lines of yes I did get your email I will get right to it. Since then he will not reply to emails or phone calls. Left voicemail and everything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR!

+ -1 moreChris arrived within an hour and determined he had to run new electrical service wires from the meter to the circuit breaker panel. He had to go get parts and returned and completed the job within hours. Very professional and he did a great job.
Description of Work: Called Chris on Monday morning about an emergency repair, my son's house had no electrical service.

+ -1 moreWe are very impressed with Mr. Hills. We have used him for years at home and at our business for wiring cameras, electrical etc. Professional, knowledgeable, polite and unfortunately always busy. Sometimes it is worth waiting for THE BEST!
Description of Work: Installed 3 chandeliers and ceiling fan. One fixture had to be wired and another changed for spotlighting art. They also wired kitchen soffit for future lighting.

He diagnosed and showed me the problem with my home's main breaker box, and quoted what it would take for the repair. He completed the repairs in a couple hours. I will definitely call Chris for future electrical projects.

+ -1 moreI called MI Electric to fix an overloaded circuit at my mother in law's house. I have used them in the past. They were so busy at the time that they pointed to Chris Hill Electrical. I call and they came out the next day and corrected the problem. I was very impressed with their work. I was positively shocked at the price they charged. I really thought it was going to more.
Description of Work: Ran a new circuit to a sunroom, replaced a worn out GFI.

Also I had a smoke detector that was not working properly and he happened to have one on him and installed it for me for free and only charged me for the cost of the smoke detector. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and great at what he does. He is very reasonably priced. I was confident I could trust him. I would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: He installed a light that other electricians would not install because they said I needed to get the wiring re-done.

+ -1 moreThe electrician put a fork in the plug in my house to see if it was alive and it blew up my one-month old dish washer. It was last year. The wire was burnt. I don't use his services anymore. We were going to use him again because he said that he would make it right. We tried to have him come back and he stood us up at least three times. We saw his truck somewhere and that's how we found him. He has done a couple of jobs for me. The last job was about $150 and it was just a service call.
Description of Work: I used the services of Christopher Hills Electrical Contractor towards the end of 2009 for some electrical work.

He is always on time and works clean enough to be a CSI. He is also very knowledgeable when it comes to home theater and I plan to have him help me when I finally decide to do something about that.
