He said he would fix the washer if I wanted him to but it would be about $500 and in this day and time it would be better to put that $500 towards a new washer. He couldn't guarantee how long the old one would last. I have used them several times. I trust them.
Description of Work: They came to check out our dryer and washer. We had them analyzed because the dryer was taking about 2 and a half hours to dry. He cleaned the inside of it out. He evaluated the washer and the bearings are going out.

First, I appreciate the quick rescheduling due to my power going out just before my first appointment, as did your service guy who lives near me and was stuck in traffic due to the storm. However, when we did get together for the repair, he was great. A bit skeptical because these keyboard repairs are often unsuccessful on the older ranges. But...we got lucky and everything went well and works like new. Great guy, I wish I remembered his name so I could give him a more personal at-a-boy.

We had an appointment scheduled for Friday 12-26-14 - @ 8am-12noon. I had to make sure i was home from work to make this time window. NO ONE TOLD ME i required to get a call from the tech or they would not even attempt to come to the house. I received a call from the tech that said "I'm about 20 mins out and wanted to call to give you a heads up, call back to confirm" He had called at 9:15am and i got the voice mail about 9:45 (phone was on charger) I immediately called back to advise i'm ready and he said im already on another job i cant come out now. I advised we haven't had a dryer all week with company and it was the day after Christmas.. i pleaded with them to make time to come out it was only 9:45 and they said the window was 8am-12. The tech said he would call back. Meantime i called headquarters to exsplain and ask for another tech or another time and was treated like the most unappreciated customer they have ever had. I was patient with the person and asked that they come out after the call they were on. they said "Now there too far away we cant make it to your house at all" I advised my situation without a dryer for week already and asked that they honor the window as i made myself available and only took this modest time to call back, please help me im sure we can make this work..etc. She said " well your going to have to talk with our owner and he can explain our policy to you" So i agreed. After waiting sometime on hold he came on the call and the very first thing he said was "We are not coming out to your house today and i don't want you to call us back" (this is the first thing the Owner of the company said, literally. I was blown away) I said you where is your customer service especially the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS.. he just hung up on our call. This operation is a DISASTER. I have been in customer facing service roles my whole life in a very stressful industry and have never encountered a company that has absolutely no regard for their customer in this manner. This reminded me a Communist service provider that has no competition and has no concern or regards on the results or-satisfaction-of their customer. DO NOT bother calling this company. Unbelievable.
Description of Work: Absolutely nothing. this company is a disaster and has no understanding of customer service. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they treated me . The owner of the company didst ask my name or what the problem was before yelling at me they wouldn't make our appointment (since i missed a call from tier tech 45 mins earlier) they wouldn't make our appointment at all and don't bother calling back, then hung up. Firs time I've had this level of service or lack of in my life.

Matt McKinley came and assessed the problem, replaced the leaking water storage tank, and quoted me for fixing the ice maker. Matt was professional and personable in his work. He showed me the problems and what needed to be done to fix them. We opted not to fix the ice maker because it would be too expensive ($400), but Matt showed me that I could buy bag ice and dump it in the ice maker storage to have it dispensed below. I really appreciated that trick! Changing the water storage tank fixed the leak and now we have water for our fridge! Matt was great, and I would use him again. Oh, he even came back after all his work was done because I thought it wasn't working, but it was. He didn't make me feel bad and was very pleasant to interact with.
Description of Work: The water and ice maker compartments on our fridge were not working. We had the water supply turned off because the water would leak all under the fridge when it was on.

When we moved into our house, we had a Dacor built-in refrigerator that I suspected had a door-closing problem. As a result, the unit ran constantly. I called for service, and the diagnosis was that it needed a new seal (which I actually pointed out to the tech) and a new door-closing spring. The tech, who did not seem that knowledgeable, told me that the spring was no longer available from Dacor, even though the refrigerator was only 7 years old. He said that there was nothing that they could do, so as a result, we'd have to replace a $10,000 refrigerator. We paid him the $80 service fee (which is reasonable), and he left. The next day, my wife goes on the internet, and within 5 minutes, she finds the spring for less than $20. Now granted, it wasn't an OEM part, but you'd think that the tech would have been able to offer us the same for an appliance like that. Therefore, I had very little faith in him and Accurate Appliance. So I thought that I'd take a look at the unit myself to see if I could figure out what was wrong. I noticed that the spring under the unit was fine (after I removed the 3 screws from the plate on the bottom of the unit, which the tech never did). I assessed that there was something wrong with the swing of the door based upon the way that the door closed. I then changed the seal myself because I wasn't going to pay them to do it after they botched the diagnosis. When I called them back to tell them what I had found, they told me that they could send the same tech out to look at the unit for no charge, which I thought was fair. I told them that I did not have much faith in that tech, so I asked for a more senior technician. They told me that would cost me another service fee. So I agreed to have them send the other tech out. Then the owner called me. He told me that because I changed the seal myself, that they "may" have to charge me another service fee if conditions had changed. I appreciated him trying to warn me of that, but it irritated me that he would even suggest that given that I paid him $80 for a service call where the tech gave me a best-guess diagnosis without even looking at the part, and then told me that there was nothing that they could do. He was as nice as he could be about the situation, but I cancelled my appointment for the free service call. I won't be using them again.

I certainly understand this customers frustration. We wanted to go out and look at this at no charge to him even though he attempted the repair himself. If he calls us back we will be glad to do so. I can't correct a problem we are not allowed to at least look at. We did attempt to contact this customer and at this time have not heard from him.

Two service calls. First call and, of course, the dryer that was not working for us worked fine while the technician was here! Go figure. Second call for service and we were scheduled for two days out. This time the dryer complied and was not working when the technician arrived. He found the issue and did not charge for the second service call, just time and parts.

The company did a competent repair job, but I believe the charges were excessive for the work performed. This is what happened: Our built-in LG microwave stopped heating on Christmas day. When I called after Christmas, the earliest they could come was January 3. The technician came on the appointed day after calling ahead to confirm. Once he figured out how to remove the front panel, the repair went quickly, no more than 20-30 minutes total. He replaced the interlock microswitch with a part carried on his truck. When he finished, he announced that the charge was $171.35. I was surprised that it was so high, but saw no alternative but to pay it, since the repair had already been done. I requested a detailed breakdown from the company, and learned that the charge included $150.00 for labor, $20.00 for the part, and $1.35 sales tax (this part is available online from LG for $2.10 plus $7.49 shipping).. When I called the company to question the charge, the owner told me that they had many expenses that had to be covered, that the charge was based on a "national flat rate" instead of per hour, and that they were "certified," but he did not say who issued the "national flat rate" or by whom the company was "certified." He further told me that, if I had complained at the time of the repair, they would have been willing to put the defective part back in and charge me "only" $75 for the service call. In short I give them high marks for quality of work, a low mark for an unacceptably high cost, and a low mark for professionalism, since they did not fully disclose their somewhat unusual pricing policies until after the work was done.

They fixed it perfectly. The cost of $75 to come out doesn't get you anything, they tack on labor charges to it so for small fixes that are already diagnosed you may want to find a less expensive company. They were very professional and did the work well.

We are happy to help the customer over the phone if they are able. In this case, the customer wanted us to come out and repair the product, which we were happy to do. We are insured, our technicians go to schools to be trained, we guarantee our work, and we are the only certified appliance repair company in the Carolina's. If the customer has a problem with the repair, we would go back in accordance to our guarantee and take care of the problem for them. Very poor experience basically told us fridge was not blowing cold ( we already knew that and explained on phone) we were then told it would cost between 200 to 800 to fix and wanted authorization. when asked for the scenarios he was very vague and said it was parts that could drive the cost, when I asked him to give me breakdown for labor and parts for worst case scenario he was very evasive. I refused any further work and called office to complain. The owner Peter Lomas called me back and was very abrasive and I explained to him our experience and the extreme fluxuation and vague answers. I also asked what the service call fee was for if they were not going to diagnose , We certainly did not need to pay 75.00 for someone to come to our house to tell us what we already told them on the phone. I t was the rudeness of the call back that has prompted this report. very disappointed with my experience!

I called the member the next day after our technician was out and asked him what the problem was with our service. the member would not allow our tech to put on a line tap to properly diagnose the problem with the sealed system, this is why the estimate had such a large gap in it. If we could have added a line tap, and this costs alittle more money, we could have given a more precise estimate. The member called our office threatening and would not allow our office to help him. We could have sent out another tech or done something else to attempt to satisfy him. as it sits right now the customer has claimed we didn't diagnose the problem correctly, we asked for the receipt from the company that did the repairs so we could verify his accusations and he would not comply. We are the 1st to admit we have made a mistake, but, what he says we did and what was done to correct the problem dosen't make sense. According to our conversation,he had someone come out and replace the compressor electricals(on Sears site a $55 part with the shipping) and he says it was done for less than $100. This leaves only $45 for the labor and service call, who can afford to send a tech out with a truck, pay for his time and gas ect. for this little? We aren't perfect, but, I will need to see the receipt for this one.

The tech called in advance to notify us and he was on schedule. Parts had been ordered and were ready to be installed. The tech did a great job; he was pleasant and efficient. He also diagnosed a problem and offered advice on the oven's door hinges which are a source of concern (but work on the oven door was outside the scope of the service call--no problem about that). Concerning the company: The quote for the cost of work performed was 100% accurate. The quote also, very importantly, gave me a price break for having work done on more than one appliance in the same call. Other companies I'd contacted actually wanted to charge me EXTRA for working on more than one appliance in the same call. FURTHER: this same company (different tech who also was very good) repaired my washing machine in September. The tech fixed the machine by removing an item from the drain pump. He could have claimed that the drain pump needed to be replaced--I would never have known that I was charged for a part that wasn't needed. Kudos to the company and the tech for honesty and good customer service.

He was here for about an hour. Since my call was about the water temperature, I thought that is the first thing that he would have checked that first and just switched them. Instead, he ran diagnostics first and then realized the lines were switched. So I essentially had to pay $89 for him to switch the lines.

The technician was very professional and went about his business. I saw the broken belt and understood that he couldn't have all replacement parts for every model and that it needed to be ordered. My only complaint is that after he left, I was under the impression that he would call me either later that day or the next to tell me when the part would be coming in. I ended up calling the office the 2nd day and spoke to someone that was very polite. They took all my information and later gave a call back indicating that the part came in over the weekend and scheduled the replacement the following Monday.

Peter diagnosed my ice maker problem and stove problem on his first visit. He ordered the parts and was back within a week to repair the ice maker. He was fast, friendly and efficient. The part which broke on my Thermador stove was something he had not seen happen in his 20+ years of repair work. Figures. Because it so rarely breaks, he called several of his suppliers, trying to locate the part. No one stocked it. He warned me it could take up to four month to come in. I decided to wait it out, and he ordered the part. He called me back six weeks later with the part. He fixed the down draft in his shop, making sure it worked before installing it back into my stove. It now works like a charm. His charge was $100.00 less than his original estimate. Working with Peter is a pleasure. My dryer is acting up, and I'm calling Peter tomorrow. I trust his work and his judgment.
Description of Work: Repaired a problem ice maker on refrigerator. Repaired a broken down draft on stove.
