Not well. Had my home treated because I had termites. After 2 years the termites came back and caused damage. They did not pay for the damage only offered to re-treat the home.

These people are wonderful and I am so glad I found them. They are personable and professional in all dealings and I will definitely continue to use their services.

The ants came back the next day and the workman didn't want to leave - wanted to talk and we work from home

They were very accommodating with scheduling. My experience with them was fine overall.

Since connecting through Angie's List, they have consistently provided quarterly spraying for bugs and my annual Termite inspection. Their techs are very pleasant and if bugs appear between visits, they will come out at no charge. I work during the day, so they call a let me know when they are coming and if I need to be there. Typically, they spray from the outside and it has kept the bugs away from the house.

On time very profesional and thorough

It went fine but it wasn't satisfactory.

The man who came out did a nice job. He seemed very personable and very nice. They were good. I had no troubles with them. The service was done fairly soon after I purchased the big deal, I think within ten days. I certainly would use them again in the future.

The ValuePest representative was very professional, knowledgeable, and a good communicator. He called our cell phone to let us know exactly when he would be there (after we had been given an approximate time) and to verify directions (which his company had already provided to him). He was very thorough in explaining both the 'what' and 'why' of pest treatment and went about doing his job in a no-nonsense manner.

I have been using ValuePest since 2008 when we had a large renovation done to our house. Everything went fine. In July I notice what appeared to be termite damage in our dining room and called them. Evidently their franchisee had an accident and died, so it took them a while to get back with me. When they did, the technician inspected, but I heard nothing about the termite damage. Finally, after 3 visits they called today to inform me that they would not cover the damage because I had wood to ground contact (first time I heard that since the bond in 2008) and there were no active termites. Even though the original inspector did not catch the wood to ground contact, this was enough for ValuePest to deny the claim. Also. I had painted that room in 2008 and there was no evidence of termites, but now they have come and gone. I can only assume that the bait station killed them, but because they are no longer active, ValuePest wil not cover the damage. My word of advice is to read the contract carefully because they appear to be than willing to deny a claim. Spend a little more and go with a company where their word is their bond.

Steve and Logan did a wonderful job. They sprayed around the house,inside the garage , work shop, under the porch and deck. They were here quite some time, were professional and friendly. Value Pest come to my house every three months and keep my house termite free and also free from spiders and other crawling creatures.

The local agent was thorough, prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I cannot say enough nice things about him and his work. However, it was often difficult to reach someone through the toll free number. They had changed something about their service and were flooded with other calls.

They were fast, easy to work with and flexible.

They were terrific. My wife was very pleased with their work.

The representative was very expericenced (I think he said 'over 15 years') and very professional as well as friendly. Initial visit was over 4 hours and included drilling holes and treating outside both in- and above- ground and then treating the complete inside. Both return visits included complete retreatment of indoors and above ground treatment outdoors. We have had no problems with any types of pests. For the price, service and quality of results so far, I would recommend this company.

We had them come out for treatment, but did not purchase their monthly plan. What we found in 2012 was that some of the drilling did not occur along our back screened-in porch where it reached the concrete slab, only treating the exterior area. The termites came in to that separated space. They should have been more thorough in drilling and putting the solution in; it seems like they did not notice this could be a potential area of infestation. If we took their monthly plan, they may have caught it, but we still should not have had an infestation so soon after the service. Overall, they were not very professional. They had to spray twice and the first individual who came out kept delaying the service and could not see what he was doing. The owner eventually had to come out and re-do the work because the first man did not perform the work properly. The price was under everyone else that we looked into, but quality was certainly very lacking. I would not recommend ValuePest to anyone for termite treatment.

I (unintentionally) delayed reviewing ValuePest's original service visit to my home back in August for their initial termite inspection/treatment. Since then they have come out a few more times, so I will include those visits in this review as well. The original service in August went fine. The technician performed the treatments as described in the section above and went on his way. In the next few weeks, we were still seeing some bugs on the interior of our home so we called ValuePest and they sent someone out within a few days to do an additional treatment. We were not charged for the service call. During my quarterly treatment (11-08-12), the technician noticed some termite mud tubes, behind a rolling toolbox, where the garage floor transitions up to the foundation of the house. The mud tubes were inactive (no live termites), but he called the office and advised them of his findings. Later that day, I called the office and they set up a follow-up termite treatment. A technician came out four days later. We looked at the wood in the area and did not find any damage. To be safe, he drilled through the garage floor in about four spots in the vicinity of the mud tubes and injected termiticide. I later called the office to touch base with ValuePest about my situation. I was told that a specific manager would call me back. After waiting a week and calling three times, I happened to get in touch with the branch manager, Mark. He was receptive of my questions and explained to me how the termiticide that they use works. He explained that any live termites were probably killed during the original treatment in August, but that any remaining ones would likely, in time, cross the treated perimeter and be killed off. He assured me that any future termite damage (with the key being "future") would be covered under the warranty. It would have been good if the evidence of termites was found during the original inspection in August. In their defense, that section of the garage was blocked by a rolling tool chest. (Although it could have be moved easily enough.) Also, they dropped the ball by not getting back to me when I called with follow-up questions, but overall I am satisfied with ValuePest. The office staff and technicians are courteous. They have been (mostly) responsive to me. I appreciate that they came back out and additionally treated for termites (whether they needed to or not) and that I've been assured that I'm "ok." Ultimately, time will tell and I'll certainly update this review as necessary. The true mark of a service oriented company is not perfection, but how the company reacts when things don't go 100% as planned. So far, ValuePest has come through. I look forward to continuing our termite and pest protection relationship for years to come.

Got there on time. Did the pest control service and also did the termite service. Followed up with me to make sure everything was ok. We had to call him back for additional pest control to respray since we saw a few additional bugs. That was not a problem for the technician and we did not get charged anything extra. I would recommend him highly to others.

I had two appointments. First one was for a home inspection and they confirmed exactly what we expected. Termites. They were on time and didn't try to sell me a bunch of things I didn't need. Second appointment was for the actual service of getting rid of the termites. They were, again, on time and professional. They did the termite extermination and sprayed for all other creepy crawlies.

Was supposed to be a whole-house pest control. I pointed out the places where we had ants, and bugs. He walked around with a spray squirting here & there not being very thorough. Said he would do the upstairs too, and he was up & down so fast there is no way that we got the window-sills which is where some of the bugs were coming in. He then tried to sell us another service that cost $300 or more. Within 2 weeks, the bugs were back!

I hired this company to service my home as well as a residental rental property. They were always professional and nice on the phone. The problem was that they never showed for the scheduled appointment time. I heard every excuse from a tech calling in sick to a change in the managment structure to no excuse at all. The low price was the eye catcher however I suppose you get what you pay for. I should also mention that after rescheduling to service my rental property 3 different times I finally told them to forget it. I would NEVER use this company again!!! 10/12 - So after posting my review of ValuePest on Angie's List on yesterday (10/10) today I get a phone call from Bob (the owner of Value Pest). Long story short let?s just say the call DID NOT go very well. Not because of anything that I said during the call, because I really didn?t have a chance to say much at all, but because Bob seemed very disturbed and somewhat angry that I would wait months later to poorly rate his company. I?m sure if the rating was more on the A/B scale there would not have been a problem with the delay. This seemed to be Bobs primary and perhaps only reason for calling my home. At NO point during the call did Bob apologize for any inconvenience that I had been caused or even asked me to further explain my experience. If he had, I would have again stated that the positive as well as the not so positive aspects of the services. As a general rule I always start with the positive as that should be the first thing that someone hears. Instead he chose to be rude and outright disrespectful. Particularly when he yelled ?Well we are going to respond and tell our side of the story then? and hung up the phone in my ear. I must say that I have never received this type of response from a services provider and was a bit perplexed about how I should respond if at all. I decided to contact the ValuePest call center via the 1-800 # that is provided on their website. I was then told Bob is actually the owner of the company and that if I had a complaint about him there wasn?t much that could be done. Although the person that I spoke with at the call center was very professional and courteous I begged to differ. I felt like as a dedicated Angie?s List customer there was much more that I could do. So I followed-up with a phone call to Angie?s List to inquire about what one of their customers should do when receiving follow-up calls of this nature from service providers as a result of a rating. The customer service personnel at Angies List listened carefully and assured me that they take things like this very seriously and that it would be addressed. So I?m left feeling like my voice WAS heard today and that my opinions and views regarding services would be honored and protected as promised. I would simply like to take this time to thank everyone who spoke with me and maintained a proper level of professionalism. Especially the Angies List Customer support team who treated me like a #1 customer. I have been and will continue to be a dedicated member of this site and would definitely recommend Angie?s services to my family members and friends. Now that deserves an A+ rating J
