Perry was very friendly and courteous, and responded to the issues we were concerned about. Tyson Services was able to schedule an appointment for us on the day after they received a work order.
Description of Work: He checked both, the up and down A/C units. He found a hole in the upstairs evaporator coil and found several issues with downstairs unit, and addressed them. He shut down the humidifier due to the unsafe conditions.

I'm not convinced he actually found the leak. He turned into the Insurance Company a huge quote to replace the coil and basically almost the entire system. I don't think they are trying to just fix my issue, I think they are trying to make alot of money.
Description of Work: My A/C is not blowing cold air. Insurance company sent them to look at it. Contractor showed up and spent a good amount of time diagnosing the issue.

I originally purchased the deal on March 24, 2012 to have a spring Tune-Up, Clean and Check for my AC Unit. I immediately called to schedule an appointment the same day. It was Saturday and no one answered so I left a message on the answering machine. I figured that the company was closed, which was not a problem. I then called once on Monday and twice on Tuesday, again leaving a message. Being that this was my first experience with Angie's List I wasn't sure how to proceed. I called customer service and one of the representatives was very attentive. I explained to him that I was new and purchased a deal, but I was having trouble scheduling an appointment.**** Side note - just received a call from the tech who is running 30 to 45 minutes late. My appointment was scheduled for 5-7pm with a call to meet 20 minutes prior and it is now 7:18pm. I did call and leave a message around 6:40 pm to find out how if the tech was still coming. That means that he should be here by 8pm and hopefully the sun is still out.*** The representative took additional information and informed to me that he could reach out to the company and try to have them contact me. I agreed and the next day around noon I received a call to schedule an appointment. No apology... No acknowledgement of my voicemails and no explanation. However, I proceeded to schedule the appointment without making reference to my unhappiness. The same day I received a follow up email from a Angie's representative explaining that she reached out to Tyson and spoke with the receptionist, and they would be happy to contact me. In the email the rep also stated " Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your Big Deal purchase. I?m sorry to hear about the difficulties you?ve had scheduling an appointment with Tyson Services. I sincerely apologize for any confusion on our part. Just to clarify, it is typically up to the customer to contact the company to schedule the service for the Big Deal. While there are some companies who will proactively contact customers, it is normally up to the customer to reach out to the service provider using the contact information featured in the Big Deal confirmation email. I immediately replied and explain that I indeed contacted the company and didn't a response. She again apologized and stated that the company had not received any of the 3 messages. Needless to say I am a very understanding person. I looked over all of the previous misfortunes and waited on my appointment was schedule for today. *********** The technician arrived around 8pm and immediately got to work outside since we were losing daylight. He checked and cleaned parts to the ac unit and even went into our attic. Perry was very informative and he gave options with out overly trying to sale different services. Overall, when paying or services customer service should be one of the most important aspect of the business. With that being said quality of services is also very important. Perry apologized for all of the inconveniences and assured me that he would look into things. I am not sure if I would use the services again, being that I only received a tune up clean and check. However, I do feel that the professionalism of the technician, allows to me to consider this company in the future.

Description of Work: I emailed Tyson services on Sunday 3/18/2012. I requested and appointment for the next day between 8:30am and 10:00am. I got a response the same day. The appointment was scheduled for the next day at the appointment time I requested. Kevin came to look at my air conditioner he called to let me know he was on his way and gave me the time he would arrive. He was on time explained everything he was doing as he worked. He gave me good advise and options. The service I received was EXCELLENT. Great Company.

My thermomotor and heat was not working in my rental condo. I called Tyson Services at 8:01am on Sunday morning. I left a message and received a call back from Tammy in less than 5 minutes. I met Tammy and Dale at the condo at 9:45 that same morning. Dale diagnosed the reasons why my heat and thermomotor were not working, fixed the problem and had wrapped the job up quickly. I would recommend Tyson Services to anyone that has a small or big, emergency or standard HVAC issues. A good price and service and great people.

I was pleasantly surprised how easy they made the entire process. They foundthe problem very quickly, showed me the broken part and explained what had happenedand gave me a preprinted price list that quoted repair costs which was really comforting. The technicians were great - very professional and very nice. I was very happy withthe service and so glad they came within a few hours too! I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They replaced a broken transformer. I was very impressed that when I called, they walked me through 2 checks over the phone before sending a tech out to be sure I really needed the repair. Wonderful to see the honesty and integrity of this business!

They provided service to the a/c under my home warrantee contract. I have not had good experience with companies that service home warrantees. Tyson is certainly the exception. They answered the phone promptly everytime I called, even though we were in the middle of a heat wave. They made an appointment that did not waiver. They showed up exactly when promised. They completed the work in 15 minutes. And they are nice friendly people!

I called the problem in to my home warranty company, Old Republic, on 2 June and received an e-mail that day that it was assigned to Tyson Services. On 4 June I called Tyson to see when they would be coming. I called again on 6 June. Both times, all lines were busy so I left messages. No response to either call. On 13 June I called Old Republic about another matter and asked if/when Tyson would be responding. I received a call back from Tyson within an hour. They scheduled the service visit for 2 days later, on 15 June, between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. The men arrived at 7:50 p.m. I have no problem with the work they did - presuming the air conditioning continues to work - but their management is simply incompetent. Taking 2 weeks to respond to a warranty service call is unprofessional and unacceptable.
Description of Work: Heat pump was not maintaining temperature when outside temperature was in the 90's. Freon was low. They added freon.

We put in the service call at about 9:42 am, and they were in our driveway by noon.
Description of Work: The absolute best! We had a power surge on the same transformer as our street light, blowing out (literally, eww!) the capacitor in our compressor. With no air conditioning, and medical problems becoming an issue, we called Tyson Services. We knew that they would probably be swamped with service calls. Dale and Tammy came out that day, replaced the capacitor in the compressor and the transformer in the air handler, and had us ready for air in no time. We have used their services in the past, and we highly recommend them!

Very positive experience. Tyson Services gave me an estimated time of their arrival and were there when they said. Considering this was an after hours service call, they did an amazing job of getting there, completing the work and being very professional and polite. I plan to use this company again for other heating and air conditioning needs.
Description of Work: I came home from work around 7 pm to find my house hot and the a/c not working (it was 95 degrees that day). I immediately turned on my computer to check Angie's List. I started calling companies and either received no answer or a quote for after hours that was very high. When I called Tyson Services, I explained my problem and asked if a service call would be available that night (it was almost 8 pm by then). I was put on a short hold and advised they would be there that night and would call when they were enroute. I received the enroute call as promised and they arrived in the time frame advised. Although it was 9:30 pm, the problem was fixed in less than 30 minutes. Dale and his wife were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I asked alot of questions to which Dale answered in detail and didn't talk over my head. He explained what was broken, showed me the part (the capacitor) and explained how it likely broke. All of this after they had worked the entire day. I was extremely impressed in their response and the quality of work and am recommending them to all my family and friends. I'm still surprised I was able to get my a/c repaired in the evening, after hours, for a reasonable price. I will definitely use Tyson Services again.
