PENEGAR CUSTOM CABINETS

I absolutely loved Penegar Custom Cabinets they did a great job they were very thorough and I never had a minutes trouble with delays or anything. I had to post a 80% deposit but I thought that was more than reasonable seeing how all the other 4 quotes I got wanted 100% pmt in full and giving Penegar cabinets an 80% deposit made me feel a little better about letting them do the work. they did a great job the cabinet looked great and the bar looks wonderful I am very very pleased and I would recommend them to anyone who needs work done. Penegar Custom Cabinets came to my home. I ordered cabinets for my kitchen July 11, 2014. The price was very reasonable and now I know why. I placed an 80% deposit which I never do but this was a family business in Union County. The only thing that I have to show for it is a poorly constructed island delivered August 15, 2014 with no doors or drawers. I only received this because I needed it for my granite as I was remodeling my kitchen. At no time during the order discussion did Penegar Custom Cabinets say there would be a problem with matching the cabinets I have. I had requested my money back but they refused saying they already paid for materials. I felt that my cabinets would not be delivered and so far it has proven to be true. Non-delivery has been blamed on the manufacturer of the doors because the manufacturer had a huge order to fill. Of course, this information was not relayed to me until I saw their response to the Better Business Bureau complaint from October. My complaint was closed because Penegar Custom Cabinets promised that the cabinets would be delivered December 16, 2014. The last communication I had was December 15, 2014 which I initiated because I had not heard anything about delivery. Their reply on 12/15/14 at 5:33 pm via e-mail was " Doors and cabinet: was waiting to get back with you today because he was waiting for a reply from the door company as he was told that your doors are presently being made after they completed the large order and they did not get back to him today but he should have a delivery date for you soon, as soon as he talks to them he can get them picked up and prepared and hinges done so he can.come out .. He wants to assure you that he intends on finishing your cabinet he has never had anything bad said against our company. But our hands have just been tied on this white order because we cannot make that style of doors with that finish on them yours have what is called a PVC coating and it is a special molding process that just cannot be done by simply applying paint to them... As soon as he hears from them he will CALL and discuss the fine details with you and he IS STILL shooting for before Christmas...?. I have had no calls from this company. At no time during this ordeal have they initiated contact. Let me preface the next statement, I really do not like to file complaints but this had to be done to protect others from being scammed.
