It went great from initial meeting to finished installation, and faster than expected. It was a pleasure to work with Juan and the quality of the blinds are well worth the cost.

Monroe Blinds was recommended by a friend. Juan measured and installed plantation shutters for the entire top level of our house, a total of 13 windows of various sizes. Juan measured and provided a very reasonable quote. He makes the shutters which probably helps keep costs competitive. The shutters were ready in about two weeks. Installation took about one and a half hours. The shutters look great and we're very happy with Juan's service. We will use Monroe Blinds again and have no hesitation recommending them.

Juan custom made plantation shutters for several windows on our home. They are beautiful and the pricing was very reasonable. He does call kind of last minute to schedule appointments, but that never bothered me.

Easy to contact and consultation was scheduled quickly. Blinds were made and installed within a week. The blinds look far better than the pre-made type that were here when I bought my home. Now for the bad. Juan was 1.5 hours late for consult appointment and 2 hours late for installation. He blamed this on MY misunderstanding as he claimed he would come AFTER, not at, X time. I had some minor issues..Some were resolved to my satisfaction. Others were not as I tired of arguing with Juan. Communication is his downfall and it has nothing to do with a language barrier. If you can tolerate lateness, excuses and an attitude that the customer is always wrong then go with Monroe Blinds. Otherwise steer clear.

Juan and his wife Carmen are an absolute pleasure to work with and they are very reasonably priced. Within one day of a phone call, we were able to have Juan come to our house in S. Charlotte to provide an estimate of the work that we requested for our home. Juan provided the estimate and we proceeded further with the service. Within a week, Juan was able to manufacture all of the blinds in his shop and then install them in our home. The installation process was very quick (less than 45 mins) by Juan and his wife. In addition, Juan was able to fix some of our blinds that had been damaged over the years in our kid?s bedrooms. Overall, Monroe blinds is an excellent service and I would definitely recommend them to service any of your blinds needs.

We made an appointment for Juan to come out and give us an estimate to make blinds for our windows. He arrived at the agreed to time and quickly went about measuring. He gave us a figure that we thought reasonable and contracted with him to do the work. Within 5 or 6 days of Juan's initial visit, he called to arrange to install our new blinds. He was a little late getting to the house, but he did call and inform us of the delay. When he got here, he set straight to work preparing the windows for the installation. He and his helper had the blinds installed within 30 minutes time, we paid him and he was on to his next job.

Juan was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Juan runs a family business out of Monroe, NC. He is the owner and he's also the chief estimator, customer service agent and installer. Upon my inquiry with him, he was out visiting the house with my wife within a day or so and gave her the complete estimate on the spot, as well as advising her where we could save some money in the process. It took less than 2 weeks for him to manufacture the blinds and he was out to install them. My son, naturally, decided to play with the plantation shutters and broke one within a few days of the installation. I called Juan and all I had to do was drive the shutter out to his shop. He fixed it and brought it back the next day. Overall, I am very pleased. One bit of advice: The strips that he uses on the plantation shutters have a double sided tape in them to hold them to the shutter. In hot windows, these can start to come off. If this happens, all you need to do is take the strip off, use a little silicone sealant (like a DAP or something) on them, and press them back into place. They'll stay up much better that way.

Juan was referred to us by a friend. He came to our new house and measured all of our windows several weeks before installation was needed. I was able to pick color, size, and texture. Juan made all the blinds and was here exactly when he said he would be on closing day. Amazingly enough he was in and out in 1 to 1 1/2 hours with all blinds installed perfectly. We had 31 blinds with many of them being different shapes and sizes and the price was great compared to what it would have been at Lowe's or Home Depot (not to mention the headache of doing it ourselves). I would never have thought we could afford custom blinds but his price was very fair and his service was excellent! Would absolutely use him again and refer to friends!!

Juan was great to work with. Returned our call promptly and made our appt. quickly. We visited his shop/factory in Monroe twice. We wanted shutters that were single panel and we were having resistance from other shutter companies that we spoke with because of the size of our windows. Juan was able to provide what we wanted in wood shutters. They were ordered and arrived within 4 weeks. His team installed in an afternoon and they are beautiful. Quality and workmanship are superior. Would recommend him over any other blind or shutter company. Locally owned. He did the blinds for our neighbor with very quick turnaround. l

They are just fabulous. They manufacture their own blinds and they are the best. Their prices, their punctuality, their installation, and the quality of their products are the best. They do plantation shutters, valances, shades, draperies, and everything. The owner comes to install so he is right there to make sure everything is perfect.

This is the second time that we have used Juan Alzate to install blinds in our home. The first time was right after we moved into our new home 2 years ago, and he came highly recommended to us by our home builder. We have been extremely impressed both times by his promptness, courteousness and knowledge of his product. He comes to the house and measures each window, lets you pick out the type and color of blind that you want, and in both cases, our blinds were finished and ready to install within a week. All of the blinds are custom made. When he returns to install the blinds, he and his helper are extremely efficient and the finished product is perfect. Juan is very polite, easy to talk to, and very personable. We are extremely pleased with our blinds and I highly recommend Monroe blinds for any of your window treatment needs.
