He is a real, genuine, old-fashioned skilled carpenter. It was his dad, actually, that had built our house 30 years ago. So, Larry has built us an enclosed outdoor deck on top of the roof that leaked. He has done an absolutely superb job. He has done other work for us as well. He is A+ across the board, period. They don't get any better than him. Larry actually worked on our house with his dad as a child. He was a teenager at the time. His dad was here everyday as the foreman for a year and a half. With this most recent job he put another roof on top of the existing roof. We had an open deck area that leaked. He enclosed the deck and put a roof on it. That took a little more than a month. He's been out pretty much every day for the last month or so. His attention to detail can't get any better. He also repaired some of the damage to the room below because I didn't trust the other company that was doing it. So, he installed the baseboards back. He put the hanging doors back and some other things as well.
Description of Work: He built a roof over the deck that had leaked into the room below that had been damaged. He also enclosed the deck and did some other various jobs with the project.

Larry's dad built our house 30 years ago. Larry and his dad have done work for us over the years. The dad is now retired, and we call Larry whenever we need some carpentry work done. He is dependable, honest, does absolutely superb work, and you can count on him to do the job right the first time. His prices are fair and reasonable. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: We had a water leak from a gutter which caused a lot of wood damage in our garage. Larry and his son came and removed the damaged wood, replaced some studs, fixed the water leak and then suggested waiting for several months to be sure the water leak was stopped. This occupied about a week's worth of time, and their labor plus materials cost around $2700.00. Today, four months later, they came back, inspected the wood and decided that they could finish the job. The job today was $275.

He didn't charge me a penny! He did it just to be nice because we've used him a great deal in the past. The door is now working fine and we will definitely call him the next time we need anything.
Description of Work: Came over to fix a closet door.

Price is per hour. I have known them for 30 years and I don't know of anyone that has had work done by them that wasn't happy.
Description of Work: They built a garage for me, replaced some wooden siding on the house and fixed many rotten windows.
