 + -1 moreThis company was very professional and responsive. They scheduled the work pretty quickly and did the work in no time with a big crew. They also left no mess behind. Patrick was very nice to deal with and very professional. He also inspected the work afterwards to make sure it was okay. Other than the price being a little high, it was top to bottom great service from them, so the price is worth my peace of mind that the service is done correctly.

They arrived the very next day, evaluated and identified the problem quickly, suggested two ways to remedy my roof leak (located in a difficult location) and a couple of hours later the problem was solved. I was pleased to have my first call answered by a friendly voice and actually have an interest in solving my problem before it became a catastrophe. I would definitely use DLV again.

 + -1 moreI called DLV roofing as we had a leak around the fireplace. They actually came promptly that same day and I was given a verbal quote. He went back to the office and I was emailed that same quote via email. Tara, in the office also stated that they would be out to tarp the roof before they started the job which they scheduled for 03/04/16. I told them that I would like to get another quote and asked them to hold off until we had done so. Upon receiving other quotes I emailed DLV back and said we would like to proceed with them. I never received a reply so I emailed them again and finally received an email from a man named Israel who said that they were retracting their estimate and would not preform the work.

Description of Work: I 1st used Pete DeLaVega about 13 years ago to roof an addition to our house (metal roofing). About a year later a storm took off the metal roofing on the main house. Pete came out personally that night (10pm)with a large tarp and covered the roof. Later came back and reroofed. Couldn't have ask for better service and the workmanship was excellent. He has later done a couple of shingle reroofing projects that I was involved with - again great service & workmanship. He is currently looking at some problem areas on another roofing project I am involved with.

 + -1 moreNever thought I would use the words "businesslike" or "professional" in the same sentence with "roofer", but DLV deserves those adjectives. When Barry King, the project manager, initially told us he would be using aerial photography to estimate our job since it would cost him less than having a crew on the roof making measurements, I knew we'd found someone who understood how to run a business. Barry has a college degree in business, but in a less-than-stellar job market, found he could make a better living in the construction industry. The bid was surprisingly fair and well-documented. Although the job was delayed a few weeks due to this summer's incessant rains, it was completed in a reasonable time and done well. I can't say enough about the clean-up, which was done each day. The crew worked well together and was very easy to deal with. We were dreading having this done, but they made it as easy as possible. Absolutely would recommend.

Description of Work: I called DLV Roofing, and a gentleman came out the same day. He said he would return the next day because he needed to blow leaves off of the roof before he could tell for certain where my roof was leaking. However, he did not return, or call. I called the company the following day to see when he was coming back. I spoke with the same gentleman directly, and he said he would be there the next day. Still no show, and no phone call or explanation. At this point I just let it go and have never heard from them again.

Description of Work: I had water damage on the ceiling of a bathroom. A very friendly DVL estimate came to look at the problem. He examined the ceiling, then the roof. When he explained the problems, he showed me pictures on his cell phone of the places on my roof that needed work. I think the corroded items he had to replace are called "vent boots." He said a few damaged shingles around some of the boots needed to be replaced. He said they would replace any damaged wood or insulation in the attic where the leak was. He was very clear in explaining what the problems were and exactly what he would do to solve them. He was pleasant and patient with all my questions. The estimate was in the range I had expected. He said he and a team would do the work about 4 days later. They came on time, all were friendly, and they fixed the roof promptly. While they were on the roof they found muddy messes in my gutters. They asked if I wanted them to take care of this. They cleaned all my gutters and did not charge for that. They took all the mess from the roof work and the gutters away with them. I have had repairs done by other companies that left a mess strewn about my yard. The DVL team leader recommended a handyman who could fix the ceiling. This person came to look at the ceiling and, after I approved the cost, did the first part of the work before he left! He, too, was friendly and explained exactly what did and did not need doing. He was pleasant and patient with all my questions. He did not make any mess in the bathroom! I have not had any water problems since this work was done.

 + -1 moreThis company did not do the original installation, but was aware of the company that did the original work. They not only had to repace the original material, but used a better quality of metal and added structural strength( before the rains) and added more when I called them. I have confidence that if anything comes up regarding their best efforts, I can count on them to respond and solve the problem.
Description of Work: Custom Gutter system damaged by winter snowload on house and garage. Replaced, but showed during recent rains that reinforcement was required. Excellent response, full day of labor analyzing and correcting the problem with no additional costs.
