All About Plumbing & Septic

We were very pleased with the service we received from All About Plumbing. They went above and beyond to locate our septic, dig it out from under heavy rocks and inspect and clean it. They were very reasonably priced for the amount of time and effort. Prompt and professional. I would highly recommend them for septic and plumbing work.

EXCELLENT Evan arrived in 1 hour from the first call and had the job completed in 2 hours. It was a total mess and he did a wonderful job getting my master bathroom back up and running. The job was completed in a professional manner and he worked to make the clean up as quick and effective as possible. I was very pleased with the service.

I called All About Plumbing to get a quote for a Septic Tank Inspection. They told me over the phone the broken down costs of the inspection plus I would need to get the tank pumped to complete the inspection. After doing some more checking around I called them back on Monday and they came out on Tuesday afternoon to do the work. They did call me earlier in the day to try and come earlier due to an opening in the schedule. Both of the guys were really friendly and professional. They were quickly and efficiently. Before they left, they explained the tank's condition and answered all of my questions. I received the professional inspection report via e-mail on the 23rd( less than two days after the inspection). Thanks again!

On time, friendly, explained his work. Only complaint was that he allowed a lot of water to run on the floor in our workshop, which ran under shelving, etc. He did mop up as much as possible.

He showed up when scheduled and did a good job. But $751 for a morning's work for one guy seems excessive. Their billable rate must be about $200/hr (a hose bib and an elbow cost under $50).

He looked at pipe & found the leak. Replaced the pipe, cleaned area around water heater.

We had the county inspector come out, look at our septic field and give us a permit. He believed this was a "small problem" and that it would not be an expensive repair. All About Plumbing came out quickly, looked the area over and gave me a written bid of $1668.22 to dig the areas requested by the inspector and repair the hump-over. I was warned the cost would go up if there was much repair to be done. All About Plumbing then told me they may have to use the repair field and that cost would be about $4800! I was shocked since neither of these sounded like an "inexpensive and easy job." I proceeded to get other bids from companies that were recommended by friends who had used them and one was recommended by a septic pumping company. Those bids, to do the same digging and exploring, came in at $500 and two of them at $350. All three felt it was a simple job. I just had the work done and it was an easy job, caused by a crushed pipe. I can't speak to whether or not All About Plumbing would have done anything differently than we had done (they did mention a camera) but I am shocked about the discrepancy in the cost....3 to 5 times higher than the other reputable and experienced companies. Interestingly enough, I have a friend who had the same experience...septic field issues and received a really high bid from All About Plumbing. I'm not sure how this company can justify that but I'd be interested in their response. If you get a bid from them, I strongly urge you to get several other bids from good companies before you hire them or you may be "flushing money down the toilet!" (Sorry I couldn't pass that up!)

We have used All About Plumbing in the past, for another very large job and for smaller jobs, too, and have been impressed by the quality of their work. Joe is very thorough in explaining options and costs, the work is done at the highest level of professionalism, and all materials are removed promptly. I can't compare prices as we have virtually stopped contacting other plumbers, but plumbing is an area where no one should skimp. Get the job done right the first time, and there won't be so many problems down the road.

When I called to schedule service they were very accommodating, offering to try to come the same day even though they were busy. Since it wasn't an emergency I postponed to the the next business day. The technician, Richard, arrived exactly on time, took care to remove his shoes when in the house, and promptly switched out the valve, leaving no mess. He also offered some advice about some slow drains & installing a new showerhead. Overall, he was very friendly and professional and I'll ask for him the next time I need plumbing service.

Carl was terrific. He and Eric were at our house in just a couple hours after the call, diagnosed the problem, and immediately went to get the well pump. By the first evening, we had water! The next day, they efficiently replaced our 21 year old water heater. I would hire them again in a minute and ask for Carl and Eric.

They're wonderful. He came several times between January and March. They may be little on the high side. They're just very reliable as far as being here. They don't say they're coming between 9 and 11. They say a specific time and they're here at that time. They're really courteous. They worked hard while I was here. They just got the job done and did it right.

They're excellent. They've been out three or four times within the last two years. They do what they say they're going to do at the price they say they're going to do it. They're the only people I'd use. I'd refer them.
