+ 1 moreWalt and his crew were awesome. They were knowledgable and professional, and even when we ran into unexpected hiccups during the project they were quick to respond. Half of the time I forgot they were there because they were so quiet! Even the subcontractors that Walt used were great. Everyone was fast and efficient, and the quality of work was fantastic. We couldn't be happier. I would definitely use Walt again, and would recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Walt and his crew worked in a half bathroom of mine that had water damage from the roof. He fixed the damage by replacing drywall, framing, baseboards and flooring. He also helped me put new flooring in in my entry.

+ 0 moreHe does a really good job. He’s a bit expensive, but when his work is done, it’s done well. The price was certainly worth it. We used him in the past, so we called him back for this job.
Description of Work: He did a full bathroom remodel for us, and he also did some work raising the roof and replacing closets and molding on the adjacent room. He even rewired all the electric work nearby. This was really quite extensive work.

I joined Angie's List, checked with several contractors, and hired Walt Haines for the job. The finished 6 x 8 bathroom is beautiful...we are very satisfied, and would highly recommend Walt to any of our friends.

+ 0 moreIt was a pleasure having had Mr. Walter Haines as our contractor. He built a new bathroom at home within the time he estimated. Responsible, honest, respectful, knowledgeable and excellent quality work. I don't know many other contractors but I would not hesitate to hire him again for any improvement in our house. I highly recommend Walt for any job you might have in your house. He is going to charge what it is and not a cent more. Remember, you get what you pay for. After a couple weeks after the job was done and Mr. Haines was paid, there was a slight issue, nothing serious, but I e-mailed him on Sunday night and by Monday noon he took care of the problem at no cost for us. I am sure not many people act like that after is gone with their money on their pockets. 5 stars for this contractor. Do not hesitate in calling him for an estimate. He will be at your house 5 minutes earlier than arranged.
Description of Work: Built a new full bathroom where the laundry room was which only had outside patio access. Raised floor level to match the house and made an entrance from inside. Made excellent use of small space to include shower and stackable washer/dryer. Looks great!

+ 0 moreThey were out here for about six hours. They were very neat and tidy. They asked permission to use the hose. Walt was on site a lot of the time. They were very professional. He came out to the house and looked at the issue. He wrote up the proposal and gave me several options. They did a great job.
Description of Work: I had some sagging gutters that needed to be repaired. They took all of the screens off of the gutters, cleaned them out, and flushed them. They replaced five pipe collars.

+ 3 moreWalt's team was great, since this was a custom job they worked closely with us on each detail. They provided input when they thought appropriate. Walt's team also helped us with some custom cabinets that were too, the cabinets were custom ordered and installed after the floor and wall board was in place. However the cabinet's were too large and really detracted from the room. Walt agreed and said they could resize and reinstall them. The end result was a HUGE difference and we were grateful Walt was working for us. Overall, Walt's team were professional, prompt, and clean. They did a Class A job and i intend to use Walt on all my future remodeling which includes a master bath and kitchen.
Description of Work: Mr. Haines completely remodeled our family bathroom. since there were several leaks that destroyed the subfloor and the walls had several layers of paint and wallpaper Mr Haines' team took the walls and floors down to studs and crossmembers. They then laid a new subfloor and tile floor using tiles we selected. The team then repaired the plumbing and added some additional fixtures to the bath. The plumber Walt utilized even built a custom bath tub from the bath tiles rather then have a regular tub. Walt's team was great, since this was a custom job they worked closely with us on each detail. They provided input when they thought appropriate. Walt's team also helped us correct an issue with some custom cabinets that we ordered from another vendor that ended up being too wide for the bathroom. Walt agreed that the cabinets should be cut down in width and said they could resize and reinstall them. The end result was a HUGE difference and we were grateful Walt was working for us. Overall, Walt's team were professional, prompt, and clean. They did a Class A job and i intend to use Walt on all my future remodeling which includes a master bath and kitchen.
