Sloan Scapes

Very pleased. Owner was very responsive and professional. Also, very reasonably priced. I plan to use him in the spring too.

This is the second or third year I've used Sloan Scapes for maintenance of my irrigation system, and definitely plan to use them for anything I need in the future. Brian is incredibly responsive -- you call with a problem on one day, even on a weekend, even during the holidays, and if there's any way he can be, he's there the next. I get the feeling he really cares about his customers, and is just a good, dependable, trustworthy person. He's just super-professional and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the service he provides.

Lot of issues / follow up in getting provider to schedule. Later on learnt there were some genuine personal issues. Good and professional work when he came out. Then he had agreed to come back for my landscape lighting work... still waitiing to hear back from him.

It was difficult to schedule. Had so many offers purchased was overwhelmed. I don't blame the company or Mr. Sloan, but Angie's List for that. But once we could arrange a time he was very efficient and professional.

I scheduled Brian to do a system check on my irrigation system in hopes he would do a much better job then the other so called irrigation experts before Brian. He showed up exactly when he said he would and in spite of me not having the parts as I thought I would have we had to reschedule. But not before we did a quick run through of the problems. Brian came back at the date and time we agreed up. Once he started I had no doubt he would do a first rate job. I had 6 heads that needed to be replaced, three serious leaks and needed to move one head. Brain did the entire job in a very reasonable time and at a cost that was even more reasonable. Brian was very courteous, professional and did an excellent job! I would recommend Brian to any of my friends without any reservation!

Brian is amazing! He was doing work at a neighbors house, and when I asked him a couple questions about my sprinkler system issue, he came over to check it out. He had the parts to fix it and did it right then and there! He was so professional and knowledgeable, and took the time to explain to me what he was doing. He went above and beyond, and even found a leak in our crawlspace from our HVAC system, that we may never have known about unless he was there to help.

The service wasn't provided because of issues with water pressure. Attempted to contact sloane scares after the water pressure issue was fixed but never received a response.

We were trying to have a new sprinkler system installed or have our current system redone. After leaving 4 phone calls over a three week period; Brian came out and walked our lot and said he would get back to us with an estimate. After leaving two more messages, it has now been over a month and we have not heard anything. Very disappointed after the other great reviews.

For the first time since I moved in my new home ten years ago, my sprinkler systems actually works properly. I would highly recommend Sloan irrigation.

This is the 2nd time I've used Sloan Scapes. Brian Sloan returned my call promptly and was very responsive to my plea for help. He worked hard to accommodate my schedule and was able to get the repair done on short notice. I'll use him again when needed.

It was difficult to schedule based on the vendor's availability, but once we had an appointment scheduled, they showed up on time and did good work/fair price for the amount of work completed too.

Brian provided answers to all the questions I had very patiently and did a great job. I got the Angie's list coupon for $ 49 for a Comprehensive Sprinkler Tune-Up but got lot more from him for the price. I got a call from Town of Cary asking me to check for a leak in the irrigation system. There was a huge leak at the main line which was very difficult to identify but he did a great job in identifying and then fixing it. He provided a letter explaining the fixing of the issue which was submitted to Town Of Cary water department. He is very professional and prompt, after completion of the work we both inspected the work done, he ensured it was to my satisfaction. A complete investigation and fixing the main line leak job took more time than was originally estimated but still completed in 2 visits. I would like to mention this as I compared the amount of work he did to the previous provider and can easily say he saved me a bunch of money with a superior quality of work done. I have asked him to do an annual check of my system and will call Brian again for any of my irrigation needs. I highly recommend him and wish him well.

Brian was great. Super responsive and explained everything that was going on. We tried to get in touch with all irrigation companies on Angies List and he was by far the best in getting back to us and wanting to work with us. He was done on time and really cared for our yard as he was doing his work.

Brian provided an quick assessment and clear recommendation of what was needed for optimal functionality. His team was professional and prompt. Brian returned at completion to inspect all final work with me to ensure it was to my satisfaction. Due to the need for a complete replacement of the zones junction box and switches the job took considerable more time than was originally estimated but still completed in 2 days. I only mention this as Brian was admit about sticking with his original estimated price. I knew there was addition material and time involved so I increased the payment amount accordingly. I will absolutely call Brian again for any of my irrigation needs and has my full recomendations

Brian and his crew did a great job for us. I'd had him in a few months ago to service what was then our existing sprinkler system and thought the work was done quickly and at a good price so we brought him back to set up or back yard system after we had put in a retaining wall and tons of backfill. I called Brian on a Thursday and told him that sod was going down the following Tuesday or Wednesday and that I needed the sprinkler system in place before the sod was laid. I received what I considered a fair quote and immediately hired him to do the work. He showed up with his crew at 7am Monday morning and stayed until 8:30 that evening and was then back again at 7am the next day to finish up just in time for the sod guys to start their work. The system works awesome and the sod is doing well. I've had Brian back twice to tweak the system, once one of the heads was spraying about a foot onto our patio and he adjusted it in a minute or two and the other time we had a head in the front yard that had a slow leak. Turns out there was a small stone in one of the valves which was not allowing it to close properly, which Brian fixed in about 10 minutes. Both of the follow up visits were done at no charge to me. I've had Sloan Scapes work for me two or three times now and they are great, they work hard, he answers his phone or texts back in minutes and the price is fair. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommended!

Very professional, prompt, worked fast. Family owned business. Trustworthy, I didn't even wait till job done and left for my work. On my return in the evening, I found all working well. Will highly recommend Brian and his Sloanscapes.

I called to make an appointment for an estimate to have an irrigation system installed at my home. The woman in the office was very pleasant and made the appt for late afternoon on Friday, July 3rd. The date and time were fine with me but I questioned her because of it being the holiday weekend. She assured me it was not an issue since " they weren't going anywhere.". Needless to say, they were a no show but worse, I NEVER heard from them at all. No apology, no reschedule request - nothing. Needless to say I would never consider them for any work, no matter how good their ratings!

Excellent. Brian returned my calls (unlike other providers I tried), arrived on time, did thorough work at a reasonable price. I will certainly use his services again.

I purchased an Angie's List big deal for sprinkler head inspection and repair. Even though it took over a month for Sloanscapes to schedule a date and time for service, I was very pleased with the quality of work and overall interaction the day of service. Brian rotated a few of the heads so they would properly water the grass and replaced one head. The replacement cost for that one head was an additional $25. Based on the work performed, I will contact him again next year.

Brian was very helpful and knowledgable. Unlike other Big Deals I have purchased he didn't say that the deal only included so and so and other things would cost extra. He arrived around 1230 and didn't leave until 5302 that's how thorough he was. He couldt locate the broken wire right away but after using his electronically equipment and some digging he found it and replaced the section that was missing/broken. The previous service provider - McClard- said that after they replaced the solenoid the zone was working, which it wasn't. After fixing the zone Brian also replaced the control board that was only running of of a battery and not running off of electricity. He has a spare older model, which was still never than mine, that he included! Nothing is ever cheap let alone free with any other contractors I've hired. He is a very honest, dependable family man that I would not hesitate to use again or recommend.

The owners have had a family tragedy which is why some people are not getting call backs right now. If you can excuse this temporary decrease in responsiveness we found them to be excellent. I am only mentioning this as it would be a shame for this to also impact their business through bad reviews. After a while of trying to schedule the service we bought through a "Big Deal" I them left a vm today and received an almost immediate call back and they were at our house within the hour. They did a great job of tuning the system, replacing the heads where needed, and suggested a work around instead of investing in more costly service.

I purchased a sprinkler tune up deal from from Angies List. I also had two sprinkler heads that were leaking/broken that were replaced. Brian was right on time for the appointment, was quick, and was a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely use again.

Brian and Jonathan showed up on time and started to revive my irrigation system. Because of the great weather we have had in the area for the last two years, I had not needed to run my system at all. Upon start-up a couple of problems showed up. I have added a bunch of new plantings over the last two seasons and many of my sprinklers needed to be readjusted/replaced to get good coverage. All of my existing sprinkler heads were either adjusted or replaced to properly cover the new areas. In addition, some prior landscape work had punctured pipes that caused underground flooding problems. Brian spent all the time necessary to resolve the problem in spite of having additional appointments that day. Somebody got rescheduled for service this day because Brian didn't leave my house until the problems were resolved on my job. I hope they don't complain because when he gets to their home, they are going to get a good job for their buck. I would not hesitate to call Sloan Scapes for an irrigation problem again. Great workmanship, cheerful attitude and very reasonable prices. One of my best experiences with an Angie's List vendor ever.
