Hillsborough Fence Company

In May 2015 we considered fencing our backyard and asked Hillsborough Fence Co. for an estimate. We told the agent, Jason, that we weren?t sure of our plans. He told us told us that by making a deposit we could be entered on the schedule and if we changed our mind, ?All deposits are refunded.? Since he wrote on the estimate statement next to our $2000 deposit, ALL DEPOSITS REFUNDABLE, we believed him. About a week later we decided we not to fence the yard and called the company asking for a refund of our deposit. We came to an agreement via telephone that they would return $1800 of our deposit money giving them $200 for their time. However, they haven?t kept their word and haven?t returned any of the deposit. They stopped answering our calls, don?t return calls, and didn?t accept a registered letter we sent them. We will be going to claims court to get our deposit returned. However, we want to warn others that Hillsborough Fence Company is not an honest company and therefore don't do business with them.
