Description of Work: After waiting several weeks, John Testerman and his assistant showed up and started with the outside prep - power washing - there was still green moss and mold on the outside, then chimney repair was to be done for which an old piece of wood was used. I was horrified at the appearance, it was inserted and ends not sanded nor did it match - it was much smaller than what was there. I brought it to their attention and was told "they don't make that size anymore". The painting began, I pointed out the areas that needed caulking and sanding, John stated he understood. It was not sanded or caulked as I had requested and he was to do 2 coats of paint, it was not. My back bay window area has the prior yellow paint coming thru. He began to do 3 rooms in my home, when requested to sand walls and trim to areas that have raised areas I was told by him "we don't correct other painters work". They also made poor attempts to correct the lumps they created by using a 5 in 1 tool scraping the wood work, causing horrendous defects in the wood trim. I asked for them to sand the defects they caulked some with outside caulk causing cracking and peeling of the area. Also I was told the walls would be washed before painting, it was not done. The edging or trim work has 2 different white colors and hand prints, color is on white and white on color, paint on the rug, soft drinks were spilled on rug. When moving my furniture a leg on an antique dresser was broken clear off (this was brought to his attention, but I was ignored), gouged the furniture (bed,dresser, mirror and night stand), mirror broken, paint on furniture/new flooring and tile, paint left on fixtures/door handles/hinges, tape on door knobs not removed and I had to clean up after them while in chronic pain (friends actually did the work). I did not need the stress. It was then John told me he "was color blind which kept him out of the military". I was pressed into paying him immediately $400.00 in cash, $890.00 for out side painting and $140.00 for chimney repair. And get this not only did I supply paint but I was also told I had to provide Roller sleeves! The doors were left off and nothing was returned to where it should have gone. The Assistant actually wore his shoes on my kitchen counter-no drop cloth! I have made several calls to John and his wife Tanya over the past 3-4 months, I had to state further action was being taken to get a response (3 calls were returned out of atleast 36 calls) One was returned by John stating I would get $100.00 off for being patient, another call he told me he was depressed because he "was sexually molested as a child and if there were a God - why would God allow this to happen to child". I was also told to make a list of things I wanted corrected and they would do it - which I did but no one showed. When they were here they worked 9:30 am and left 2-2:30 pm and some times earlier. The Company is so unprofessional, not only in their work but what they say.
