Renoir Restoration

We worked with Westley Miller. He came to our house looking to see if we had hail damage. I was nervous and I told him when I first met him I didn't believe in a free lunch. My husband and I were completely surprised!!! Our expectations were surpassed with the professionalism and customer service that we have experienced! I feel blessed to have met Wesley and the crew at Renoir Restoration!

We were very pleasantly surprised. The old adage "if something seems to be too good to be true, it is;" does NOT apply here. We were approached by Matt and Westly concerning our roof having damage from a previous hail storm. Because they approached us I was VERY skeptical and in fact did not want to talk with them at all. My husband prevailed and we listened to their intelligent explanation of our damage and how to fix it. We still were not sure since we did not call them. That's when I did my homework and called the owner of the company, our insurance company and looked them up on BBB and Angie's List. I could find nothing but positive remarks. We decided to use Renoir even though we actually had just started to have roofers give us bids for a new roof. Renoir's employees have all been prompt, polite, efficient, clean, and helpful. Their project managers show up at the site before during and after the work is done. They have made sure that we are satisfied with their work and the owner of the company even stopped in to introduce himself since we had called to ask him several questions before we signed. We are very pleased and have recommended them to many of our friends. We had a small issue with the ceiling paint not covering a stain and the painter stayed for 4 hours until he got the spot to cover the stain and blend with the rest of the ceiling they painted. We have had several contracted jobs done for us in the past, these are the only ones who showed up on the day and time they stated and did exactly what they said AND cleaned up after they were done.

BUYER BEWARE Overall very sloppy and shoddy work. Had a leak in the roof during the first week. Damage to ceiling in family room and garage. After roof was supposedly fixed have another leak with ceiling damage after another heavy rain. After siding was installed there were a number of punch list items such as rehang light fixtures and gutters. One of the downspouts was remove during the siding install and not replaced during first 10 days, resulting in water running right the foundation. They were not completed when promised and in fact each took at least 2 trips to complete. A month later still waiting for completion in addition to the repairs from the leaks noted above. Area manger did not meet promised date and it doesn't seem to be a priority. Holding final payment until everything done but wondering what's going to happen if there are problems later.

We were impressed with the skill, speed, and professionalism of the roofing team and the responsiveness and priority placed on customer service provided by owner Jean Rish. They kept apprised of the weather (vital, since storms were due to roll through by late-afternoon) and worked quickly on our very steep roof. All debris was collected and the roof got its first test immediately as the storm commenced...and there were no issues at all. The roof looks fantastic and the process itself was extremely smooth. They showed up on time, worked steadily, and took care to clean the worksite meticulously.

The Renior Restoration crew arrived early and was able to complete the work before 1 pm as the forecast was for rain. I visited the job site twice, once after the tar paper had been layed and then again later that evening. The roof looks great and and they did a fantastic job cleaning up! Couldn't happier and I will definately refer them to friends and family that are looking to have their roof replaced or repaired.

Matt and Tera were very good. They were full of information, they answered all my questions. They gave me copies of their license and insurance. I had no problems, even when the roofing was being done. They went with eh shingles I wanted to use. They also changed the staples they were using per my request. And the roof looks beautiful. They were very good about cleanup. They put tarps over everything, and used magnate rollers to pick up all the left over nails.

The work was delayed 2 days due to rain but when they started the roof was completed in one day. I am so pleased with the work and how my house looks now with the new roof. The Renoir employees were professional, friendly and really cared about me as a customer. Jeannie kept me updated on the project and I never had any concerns that I was getting the best service. There are not enough positive words I can say about Jeannie or the Renoir Restoration Company.

Jeannie Thomas at Renoir was great. She patiently worked with my wife to pick out colors, kept a tight rein on her crew and made sure everything was done on time and that clean up was done properly. She even refunded us some money because they were able to do it cheaper! Would definitely recommend Renoir if you want things done fast, well, in a courteous manner and for the lowest cost. Much much better than H&S Roofing!

The roof took one day and it looks good. The interior took 8 days and was also very well done.

I called them two weeks before Thanksgiving and scheduled the date. They were very prompt and started early that morning. It took them just over a half of a day and my roof looks great. We have also had some rain and no leaks! They cleaned up and you couldn't even tell they had been here! They cleaned up so well! The price was in line with most of the estimates. The foreman explained everything to me and I really appreciated it. Absolutely no problems!

Renoir (Willie) climbed up on our roof with the insurance adjuster to determine if we had enough damage to warrant a claim. He then worked with us to get our roof replacement and interior work scheduled - including working with our schedule to try to do it as quickly as possible. I was surprised when he said they could replace our whole roof in a day - a similar house on our street took "another company" 3 days to complete. He helped us to pick out the style and color of the shingles to use and said that everything would be delivered the day before the workers - and that the workers would start about 6:30am. All of the materials were delivered the day before just like he'd said - and they were careful to put them in the exact spot we'd agreed on with Willie so that they weren't in our way - they were neatly bundled and wrapped on several pallets. Workers started arriving about 6:15am and waited quietly in front of the house and began sorting and organizing their materials. At 6:30, it was like a machine was turned on... all of the guys knew what their job was - some started unrolling tarps to catch debris, some started removing the old roof, some started moving materials to the roof. I was incredibly impressed that there were two guys whose job all day seemed to be clean up... so all day long, while most of the team were up on the roof, there were 2 folks dedicated to cleaning, sweeping, picking up, etc. By 4pm, they were done and the roof looks fantastic. After they left, I did a sweep around the yard and picked up 3 nails... just three.. they'd gotten all of the others. They had to remove my satellite dish - and when they put it back, it wasn't aligned exactly - so I called Willie, and within the hour, he had a DirecTV person at my house and on my roof adjusting the alignment. Within a week, the interior repair people were scheduled, and they repaired the damage so well that you can't tell it was ever there. All of the workers were very courteous and respectful of my family and my home. All of them seemed to genuinely care that we were happy with their work - and I was impressed at their attention to cleaning up. Willie worked with me to understand the insurance paperwork and process so that was easy for me. The roof looks fantastic, the interior repairs look fantastic - and it really was stress-free for us.

This company is very customer centric. Give them a try.

My experience with Renoir restoration was outstanding. I have never had a better experience with a company doing any type of work. Our roof was replaced first and then several days later he had our entire house power washed at no extra charge. The gutters were cleaned and inspected and then the damaged gutter and downspout were replaced. Once that was done his painter called to schedule painting the 3 ceilings, not just part of the ceiling where there was a watermark, the entire ceiling. Jean Rish, the owner, found an additional spot on one of our ceilings that our adjuster had not found. The amazing thing about the experience was that all the contractors showed up on time every time and once one piece of the work was done, the next contractor would call the very next morning. All of his employees and sub contractors were extremely courteous and they always cleaned up after the job. If i had questions I could always contact the owner directly and get answers, if not right away then by the day. He did not ask for any money up front. He told me he did not want any money until everything was done and we were completely satisfied, Due to scheduling conflicts we had it was 6 weeks from the time the roof was installed until the painting was completed. I offered to pay him what we owed earlier as over 90% of the work was done. Once again he stated that he would not accept any money until the work was completed and we were completely satisfied. I have never had a more positive experience with a business doing any type of work. I highly recommend Renoir Restoration. This is an awesome company with a highly ethical owner who sincerely cares about his customers..

Nothing but positive things to say about the work done and support they provided throughout the entire process. I contacted Renoir after hearing good things about them from a neighbor and because they were not one of the many ambulance chasing roofing companies squating in our community after the hail storm. Jeremy was fantastic to work with. He scheduled meetings anytime of the day/night based on my availability and attended the insurance inspection to ensure nothing was missed. Renoir uses quality products and provides an excellent workmanship warranty. Their team installed the roof quickly and did an excellent job on the clean up. Jeremy was aware of my tight timeline and made every effort to move us up on his install schedule. We are very pleased with the results and would use Renoir in the future for any roofing/restoration needs.

I was only approved for replacement of half of my roof + various spots on the other half. State Farm sent me the report with the actual cash payment portion and as of today (July 27th 2011), I have not heard from Renoir. It's only been 2 months! I left a message for Celeste whose voice mail states that she is still employed with Renoir but she has not given me the courtesy of a simple phone call. I understand that with the recent bad weather in Charlotte and the surrounding areas that these companies are busy but how long does it take to make a call:( Well, things happen for a reason and I've found a better, more reputable and professional company from Angie's list to complete the job.

Lousy. If I had even gotten a brief email saying that it would be better to contact them by phone I would have done so. There was no communication at all. I checked my spam to make sure that I hadn't missed a response, but there was none.

Outstanding. Matthew is extremely professional. He inspected our house and found that we did not have any damage from the storm. He did find a place near a window that needs to be looked at by a handyman. We appreciated his knowledge and time which was valuable. He did not charge us for the inspection. Renoir Restoration is now on our favorites list.

It was great. They completely upgraded our roof, and it looks fantastic now. Their cleanup was just incredible.

Terra left samples of shingles from 2 mfgs for us to choose from. She answered all of our questions on what they would be replacing and what the entire process entailed. They had a large crew and completed the roof in 1 day. They picked up very well during the entire process. We are having the company also quote us on getting a new driveway since they do other things besides roofs.

They were excellent and the quote was very detailed. Pricing comparison, they were priced well. They are coming out to do the work.

the company contacted us after doing several houses in the neighborhood explaining that we could have hail/wind damage to the roof . We had a survey done by the insurance adjuster who agreed to replace the roof. The whole process went very smoothly, the company arrived on time and completed work in a timely manner with good clean up. They have demanded no money up front and have taken the insurance monies only on completion of both jobs. It is obviously too early to tell as regards to the quality of the roof work as I cannot personally inspect it but they have been very professional to deal with and I don't believe we will have any problems.

The sales and foreman staff were great. The installation team however did not speak English and were a bit messy. Had to return to fix gutter because the roofing team could not understand what needed to be done; foreman left and was the only English speaking one of the installation team. Some debris and lots of nails left in landscaped areas. But the finished roof looks good and so far there have been no problems.

It was a positive experience dealing with the people there. I had to have somebody back out to do repair work on the gutters. The follow up was average. The quality of work was very good. I didn't have any problems getting them out to do the work.

They did a really good job. I don't know how much it cost because it was what the insurance company allowed basically except that we upgraded the shingles. They were very thorough. They came by. They didn't pressure us to sign any contract. They did a really good job of cleaning up all the nails and somebody came by to check on everything. There was one thing that I thought was different from what we had discussed, so I had the people come out. They did that right away and took care of it. Everything was resolved very well. We checked them on Better Business Bureau and also on Angie's List before we hired them. The quality of the work was excellent from what I can tell so far. It's too early to know. From what I can tell it looks like they did an excellent job. Their responsiveness was excellent. Their professionalism was good. I just had to prompt them on the paperwork that I wanted several times. The main sales person was new, so he had other people coming to help him out. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

I suffered hail damage on my roof, aluminum siding, and gutters. Renoir Restoration performed a free 30 point inspection on my home, and determined that it did indeed have significant damage from hail. They helped me with the process of filing an insurance claim with my insurance company, was on site the day my insurance adjuster inspected the damage to answer any questions he might have about their inspection and estimate. The insurance proceeds was enough to pay for 100% of the roof and siding repairs, so it did not cost me anything for that. I chose to also replace the dented gutters and leaders, which the insurance company would not cover, and Renoir gave me a great price for that. The first work performed was the roof replacement. They arrived at 7am on the scheduled work day, completely tore off the old roofing materials, replaced all damaged roof wood decking, put down new roofing felt, then installed a 30 year architectural shingle, which they upgraded me to for free (warranted for up to 70 MPH wind), installed new flashing, installed new pipe boots and vent covers. They installed a low profile, shingle over ridge vent that almost disappears on the roof compared to my old aluminum one. They painted the white vent pipes on the roof black, as well as the chimney flashing. They cleaned up all old roofing materials, and used giant magnets to pickup 99% of the nails removed from the roof. They were done by 4pm. Next was the aluminum siding replacement. They arrived as scheduled on the first day of a 2.5 day install, removed all the old damaged aluminum siding and trim. They installed 1/4 inch R1 foam insulation on the whole house, installed new vent covers for things like the clothes dryer, bathroom vent, and microwave. They installed "Master Mounts" on all exterior lights, electrical outlets, and hose bibs. They trimmed out around all my windows using 1x4 lumber, which they wrapped in white aluminum stock to make them maintenance free. This was work that the company I had install new replacement windows years ago should have done, but Renoir did this work at no extra charge to me. I have had people ask if I replaced my windows too, as they did such a wonderful job on them, they look brand new as well. They replaced damaged fascia boards, again wrapped in white aluminum to make them maintenance free. They then installed j-channel, .042 inch thick vinyl siding (warranted for up to 195 MPH winds), and soffits. All joints were caulked. They cleaned up all debris, and removed 85% of the nails from the ground. Next they removed and replaced all the gutters and leaders from the house. The materials they used were much higher quality than the gutters/leaders I had before. They are installed rock solid on the house, using high quality brackets. All and all this was a painless process. A Renoir supervisor was there everyday checking on progress, keeping me informed of progress and answering any questions or concerns I had. I would use them again without even thinking twice about it. They are a wonderful company. After hearing about all the horror stories about what some contractors have done to people, I had a great deal of concern when I first started to deal with them. However, they took all fear I had in dealing with them away. They always did what was right for me and my home, even though it cut into their profits. They did not charge me a dime more than their initial estimate even though there was more damage to my roof deck than initially thought, as well as all the added work to trim out my windows, and replace damaged fascia boards. They earned my respect, and I would encourage anyone needing such work done to call them.
