He missed the elevation on our slab foundation and had to pour the second foundation on top of the first without using a bonding agent. He failed to level it correctly, to the point that a structural engineer s report indicated that the hills and valleys in the unlevel floor presented a tripping hazard. He had an equipment malfunction, which caused the expansion joints for the driveway to be cut extremely crooked. When I read the manual, I found that he had operated the equipment incorrectly. During the first twelve months, the garden tub in the master bath was found to be defective with large bubbles in the fiberglass. He refused to exchange it or provide us with the warranty information. He patched up two of the holes that formed, but did nothing to fix the obvious problem. 90% of all warranty repairs he made needed to be redone within 12 months. He secured the wooden step from the house down into the garage using nothing except glue. When this glue came loose, it caused my wife to fall, hurting her arm. He blamed us for his mistakes. Some examples, but not all were: Our exterior doors were not hung properly. Light shines through and around the edges. His response was that they had endured excessive use. The seal on the toilet drain was leaking from being installed on an uneven floor. His response was that our 3 year old had been playing on it. (Which was not true). The pan under our furnace stayed full of water. His response was that the problem was caused by an extension on the drain we had added, recommended by the afore mentioned structural engineer, to move water away from the foundation. It was later found that during the installation, he had never connected the primary drain.
Description of Work: Mr. Radey built our home by himself in 2002 with minimal use of subcontractors.
