They were knowledgable, professional and friendly. I really appreciated that they found the root cause of the electrical issue rather than replace parts until they found the issue. Plus, the work was accomplished sooner than promised. I will definitely continue to take my mowers to them for maintenance/repair.

Work was completed as requested and delivered as scheduled.

I was disappointed to have early estimates of a good cleaning, oil change and blade sharpening turn into completely replacing the carburetor and $50 turned quickly into $150. Not their fault I suppose, but that much for a mower I seldom use was disappointment.

Both were evaluated. I was told that it would be less to replace the units and not repair them due to the cost. I thought that was good to hear in lieu of a large repair bill

Went well but they did forget to install new wheels so be very specific on what you want and what they should and should not call you about.

They were friendly and helpful, and as promised, called when the work was complete. Said there was a longer than usual wait time for completion but still had the equipment fixed perfectly in just a week. They'll be my choice again if I need any more power equipment serviced

From start to finish the process went very smoothly. It was nice to have them pick up the mower and deliver it upon completion of the job since i do not have a truck to transport it (for a reasonable fee of $45). Everyone i dealt with was very professional and friendly. Mower works better than ever...

Great. They returned it in a few days and the price was fair. Chipper runs great.

Very timely. Less than 48 hour turn around. Professionalism and customer oriented. An error in charges by the place of business which was caught by us was corrected when we returned, about 30 minutes later, with our reciept with an apology. Errors are made all the time and I do not consider it a big deal.

Took chain saw in because chain would move when at idle , to sharpen, and hard to start. They cleaned / repaired carburetor, adusted and sharpened chain. Saw was ready on time for less than quoted price. They always do great work, I take all my yard equipment to be serviced there. Just good honest people ! Highly recommended!

I was impressed with the professionalism of this shop. The overall experience was better than expected. The checkin and checkout procedures were both very efficient. I was told that the repair would take about a week, but it was done in three days and the cost was very reasonable.

We got them first time to get the Lawn Mower repaired and started but it wouldn’t stay running. We told them that firstly it doesn’t start and when it starts it doesn’t keep running. I don’t know if they didn’t hear the part that it doesn’t stay running so we had to take it back again and the last time they rebuilt it and finally got it started. We were kind off disappointed that we had to continuously take it back and it’s like we use it only once a month. We got to have it for a little area behind our fence. I just suggest that don’t take your mower there in the peak season when they’re real busy. They’re probably not going to hear what your problem is. The only problem was that they didn’t do what we wanted because didn’t hear us. They got the lawn more running now but then it is not going to start running and we had to take it back the same day. And it was going to be a 1 week repair which turned into 2 weeks. We went to them because of the reputation on Angie’s list and obviously they’ve got a good business and they were busy which might be part of the problem.

He never showed up. Never called. He was supposed to be here at noon to pick up our lawn mower. At two I called and they were busy. I tried again at 4pm...Now it is 8pm, dark outside, lawn mower still here waiting to be picked up. No call, no nothing.

I have a 9 year old Craftsman walk-behind lawnmower. The pull rope and the recoil spring broke. I checked Angie's List and found that Matthew's Power Equipment was close to my location, had good Angie's List ratings and were open on Saturdays when I could drop it off. I put the mower in my truck and went over to Matthews Power Equipment. One of the repair technicians saw me drive up and came out outside immediately. He greeted me nicely and helped me unload the mower. I explained what was wrong with the mower. He shared that the person that usually checks-in customer equipment was not available but would help me anyway. He completed my customer receipt and told me that they were very busy with lots of repairs for the spring season and that it might take 7 days to repair it and cost me about $25. I was in-and-out in less than 10 minutes. About a week later, since I had not heard from them, I called Matthews Power. They were very pleasant and honest with me that with all the spring season repairs, that they were behind. But that they would have it ready in 2 business days. I appreciated their honesty. As promised, 2 days later Matthews Power Equipment called to let me know my mower was ready. When I went by to pick it up, the owner saw me drive up and came out outside immediately. He greeted me nicely and we went about the business of settling up and he helped me load the mower back in my truck. The total was $48 instead of the $25 the repair technician quoted me. But I realized the $25 that he quoted me was for the labor only - not the parts. And that they had no way of knowing what the parts would cost until they started working on it to know what was broken and needed replacing. I am very pleased with how helpful and honest they were and the service they performed. I would defintely use them again and would recommend them to others.

They were really good. Something happened after I got it home, and they came out and fixed it. I did not have to pay anything extra for it because it was something that they could have found when it was there with them.

Brought in our lawnmower on a Friday because it would not start. Received a call on Wednesday that it was ready for pickup. Was happy with the work that was done and the people involved.

Repair was effective. Job promised in 1-2 weeks. It took 1 month plus to get it back.

When we went to pick up the mower after being notified that it was ready, we asked about the repair of the wheel guard. We were told that the mechanic had determined that it was not damaged. We then looked at the mower (at their shop) and discovered that the mechanic had looked at the wrong wheel, and that it was in fact not fixed. As a result, we had to leave the mower another few weeks and make an extra hour trip to pick it up again. When we did finally get to pick it up and bring it home, the mower did not run well. The engine ran inconsistently, sputtered a good bit, etc. Additionally, the second time that I used it after being repaired, the pull cord broke, as it was badly frayed - and was not replaced during the routine maintenance. We decided that we again needed to have the engine worked on for what should have been fixed during the routine maintenance just performed. We decided not to use this company again, and had another company redo the repairs.

POLITE, EASY TO WORK WITH. HELPFUL AND REASONABLY PRICED. WILL USE THEM AGAIN NEXT YEAR.

THEY WERE COURTEOUS, BUT RATHER SLOW IN COMPLETING THE WORK.

WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THEY PERFORMED AND THE QUICK TURNAROUND TIME.
