Worst experience with Home Depot of my 52 year old life!!! From the sales man multitasking and forgetting/ mis entering our information, to No call no show on delivery day, to cancelling our order instead of researching the problem and solving it for us. 3 MODs dropped the ball between my wife and I calling. Refund requested 5 days ago and nothing on the card. Upon calling the CC company sale was not cancelled, so had to dispute the charge and hold payment. Awful, awful awful. Lost my business forever!!!

We were supposed to meet at my house at 6 pm, and I made sure to leave work in time to make the appointment. I received a call from the sales representative about 6:20 pm saying he was running a few minutes behind....and he actually arrived at 6:45 pm. Traffic was heavy, so I let the lateness slide. (Turns out he was working out at the YMCA and was just late). He spent about an hour in my basement measuring the various rooms and presenting possible options. When he left my house, I gave him my work email address, my home email address, and he had my home and cell telephone numbers. He was supposed to give me a quote the following day for a heat pump system for a 1,300 square foot basement. My research suggests that this is probably a $5-$6,000 job. It is exactly 2 weeks later and I have yet to receive a quote. At this point, even if I do receive a quote, I will make a point not to do business with Home Depot/Matthews or their contractor "ARS/Rescue Rooter". The lack of professionalism and follow-up in this economy is just absolutely baffling to me. What a complete waste of my time.

I was successful in clearing the main drain from my garage. The machine was thoroughly checked and ready when I picked it up. It worked properly.

Having been a Home Depot cardholder for years, I called them to service my refrigerator. The appt was scheduled between 9-12. I called at 2pm to ask where they were, and was told the tech scheduled to come to me hadn't been answering his phone all day. Nobody bothered to call me. They wanted to reschedule but with no discount for me losing a day's work to wait on them. Bottom line- I should have checked the list!

They were very friendly, professional and helpful. They explained everything well and answered all my questions. They offer one year interest free period for the payments. They did a very nice job and I was very pleased with their work.

It was a very positive experience, good customer service and prompt delivery.

We purchased a dishwasher and paid for delivery and installaion. The kid that came barely walked into the kitchen and said, I can't do this install because the diswasher is too far from the sink. He opened the cabinet briefly and said he couldn't do it. He said they would refund the installation charge, but we also had to pay a "haul away" charge. Thankfully the city of Matthews took it away for free. We ended up having to hire a plumber to do the installation. Then Home Depot couldn't produce a duplicate receipt for us to claim our rebate. I have 3 kitchens to redo with new appliances; I won't use them.

I chose to have my contractor install. The quality of the cabinets was great (Kraftmaid series). They showed up right on time and well packaged so we had no damage. John, the designer was friendly and patient.

Walked in store and requested rental of yard aerator. The service staff gave us the rental, completed paperwork and assisted us in loading it into our vehicle. 2/3 of the way into the job the machine broke. We had to return to Home Depot where the staff was very courteous and apologetic about the problem. They offered us another machine which we declined and then they gave us a $10 discount.

THE SALESMAN AT THE STORE WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH: VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PLEASANT AND PATIENT. THE MAN THAT CAME TO MEASURE SEEMED TO HAVE A LITTLE CHIP ON HIS SHOULDER. WE WERE NOT SURE AT THAT POINT IN TIME HOW MUCH AREA WE WERE GOING TO CARPET DEPENDING ON PRICING,ETC. HE MEASURED THE OFFICE, HALLWAY AND STAIRS, BUT DIDN'T SEEM TO WANT TO BREAK IT OUT FOR THERE TO BE OPTIONS FOR US. WITHIN THE NEXT DAY OR 2 THE SALESMAN AT THE STORE CALLED WITH THE QUOTE. WE GAVE THE VERBAL GO AHEAD OVER THE PHONE BUT HE SAID WE WOULD HAVE TO COME INTO THE STORE TO PAY AND START THE PROCESS OF ORDERING IT. IT WAS A SPECIAL ORDER AND NOT IN STOCK. A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER WE GOT BACK TO THE STORE AND PLACED THE ORDER AND PAID. WITHIN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS, IT HAD COME IN AND THE INSTALLERS HAD SCHEDULED, COME ON TIME, AND PERFORMED THEIR JOB. THEY EVEN DID A LITTLE EXTRA TUCKING THE EDGE OF THE HALLWAY CARPET BACK IN FOR US. IN GENERAL, WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE JOB!

HOME DEPOT WAS TERRIBLE AND THIS WAS A FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. IT TOOK OVER TWO MONTHS BECAUSE OF BACK ORDERING FOR A SUB-FLOOR. I WILL NEVER USE DEPOT AGAIN FOR FLOORING NEEDS.

MELVIN POTTS'S COMPANY DID THE ACTUAL INSTALLATION. I WOULD DEFINITELY REQUEST HIM BY NAME. ELAINE BRUNDAGE IS THE DESIGN CONSULTANT AT HOME DEPOT THAT COORDINATED EVERYTHING. I USUALLY PREFER [ANOTHER COMPANY] BUT 'HOME DEPOT AND MELVIN' WERE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY NEIGHBORS, AND WE'RE GLAD WE WENT TO THE 'ORANGE COMPETITOR' FOR THIS JOB!!!

VERY HELPFUL IN ORDERING THE WINDOW COVERINGS. THEY HAVE EXCELLENT INSTALLERS.

THEY WERE VERY PATIENT, I SAVED SO MUCH MONEY, I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THEM. CONFIRMED WE WERE PLEASED BEFORE THE PAID THE SUBS. HELPED ME BUILD MY WHOLE KITCHEN AROUND TILE I FELL IN LOVE WITH. SUBS WERE ON TIME, QUICK AND CLEAN, VERY PROFESSIONAL-DANNY
