Description of Work: THOROUGH REVIEW OF RESIDENCE TO DETERMINE IF ANY SIGNIFICANT "ENERGY" ISSUES EXISTED - CHECKED ATTIC INSULATION, DRAFTS FROM DOORS, CO2 FROM GAS LOGS, ETC. AND ALSO PROVIDED A COMPREHENSIVE REPORT OF THEIR FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

Description of Work: I used a big deal purchase for Fresh Air Technologies. It was $149 for radiant barrier insulation. I had to pay an additional $300 because it was over the square footage.

Description of Work: Scott did a very thorough energy audit on our home and generated a detailed report. He and Jay helped us prioritize the work so that we can do it in stages. The first stage was to thoroughly insulate the attic, which they did. The crew was very professional and pleasant. We are now waiting to hear back from them regarding the next stage. The one negative is that the response time can be fairly slow.

Description of Work: Someone came by to inspect the attic and I haven't heard a word since then. I did ask for a quote--in addition to the $149 worth of insulation I have already paid for the with the Angies List special--but nothing. Since then, I have contracted Apple Blossom and they will be installing insulation and repairing other related things on Thursday. However, I am still waiting to hear from Fresh Air to install the insulation I have already paid for as .It will not interfere with what is being done on Thursday. I will review Apple Blossom's work for Angie's List when they are finished. If I still haven't heard from Fresh Air--either by email or phone--I will contact them to find out when they will be installing. Even if what they install is good, I will not be using them again.

Description of Work: Service went great. Provider immediately contacted me after I purchased the deal. Came out to my house and determined I did not need the product. Told me to contact Angie's List for a refund.

Description of Work: I called regarding an air duct problem I had and told them I was deaf and having trouble communicating on the phone and they hung up on me. Very poor service.

Description of Work: Missed first appointment, showed up for 2nd appointment without confirming time he was coming so I had already gone to work. No effort has been made to reschedule

Description of Work: Great people, very professional. in fact the gentlemen that did the estimate found a bad leak I had, help me shut it off. He was in a prime position to take advantage of me at that point and tell me that we needed to replace all the insulation (which is one of their services) and he didn't... just said that we needed to replace a small portion. Rare to find that kind of honesty in contractors.

Description of Work: I had an appointment set up for 4pm on a Friday several weeks ago. I got off from work early so I could be home by 4pm. They never showed up. I contacted them to try and work out another time. The person I talked to said he was going on vacation for a week and would call later. At this point I do not want to do business with this company.

Description of Work: A gentleman from Fresh Air came to the house on 4/8 and went under the house to measure. He was very professional and did his work quickly. I knew I would need more than 500 feet of vapor barrier but I was completely unprepared for the $4000+ estimate I was given for the additional barrier, removal of debris and cleaning of mold found under the house. I feel that the $149 "big deal" was just an invitation for them to come find opportunities for more work. I am extremely disappointed by the whole situation and will never buy another big deal and will be cancelling my Angie's List membership. I thought this would be a great way to get a vapor barrier, but I was just a sucker for a company looking for someone who would be scared by the word "mold" and fork over more than $4000. Not me.

Description of Work: My wife and I needed our crawl space cleaned out and plastic sheeting installed on the ground. After contacting them they were on time with the appointment. I was given an accurate proposal. A work date was scheduled and met. The job was completed the same day that it was scheduled and appears to have been done correctly. They were very professional throughout the entire project.

The money paid up front was always the total amount paid - This time it turned out to be only a deal on perhaps about 20% of the estimated total cost. I could not afford this and had not intended this - living on Social Security as it is. My call to the Angie's List support center was very reassuring and I was promised a full refund

Description of Work: The costs became much higher than anticipated. Would prefer to get several estimates vs. going with one company. Costs were higher in proposal than representative indicated when on site. We were uncomfortable with the process.
