 + 4 moreAfter purchasing another investment property, I had Andrew and his crew update the interior. Andrew removed all popcorn in the 3800 sq. ft. home. The ceilings were then prepped and resurfaced. When the ceilings met Andrews standards they were then painted. Andrew also painted all walls and trim. Besides painting I had Andrew repair some plumbing behind the walls as well as pull two toilets and replace the flanges. New attic stairs were installed as well as a few interior doors. He will be returning to rebuild deck and French drain.

I have tried to to call him several times beginning at 11:30 AM leaving voice mail messages on 2 occasions. I also texted him (he says he prefers text) and received no reply. I hope Andrew is OK. We will not be getting a quote from him.

 + 0 moreAndrew was great. He was very professional and was full of knowledge. He was very easy to work with and communicate. They were the cheapest of the estimates and he included doing the trim (compared to the other places that quoted more without the trim). They also repaired a gate on our fence with no extra charge! They did an excellent job on the painting and cleaned up well. I plan to use him for any maintenance needs. I would highly recommend them as the one stop shop.

 + 0 moreawesome, the entire job was around $1300 which I thought was fair and more importantly, when my wife returned from her moms, she said the job looked good. I can tell you, being married 35 years, I can't remember her every commenting positive or without comment on previous contractor work :)
Description of Work: I had a rotted threshold going to my deck. I called two other firms and they quoted $300. I called Dun Rite and he quoted $600 but I could tell he saw things the other firms did not. Additionally, we both knew there might be over runs for once you open up the rot, there could be more damage, which there was. Anthony was very fair and he and his crew were very professional and direct. Its rare to find skill labor that take pride in their work, and I could tell just how they approached the job and handled themselves, that I had made the right choice.

 + -1 moreThe work he did was okay but he wasn't very good about showing up when he said he would. I probably would not go with him again. The first time he came out he was very good and then he did some more. I don't know if it was his fault. There were some personal problems going on and health problems. He did one service in June and then we had him come back and signed up for some more. The second time around he wasn't as punctual in getting things done. I have mixed feelings on it. He is a nice guy but he didn't show up when he said he would, and I don't know if I would hire him again.
Description of Work: We had Dun Rite Maintenance patch ceilings in the bathroom and bedroom. It took him like 3 weeks to get it done.

 + 2 moreI wish there was a higher grade than A! Andrew and his team are amazing! All of the work was expertly completed, including patching of the ceiling and touch up painting. In addition to the incredible quality of their work, the whole team is so friendly. And communication is excellent, Andrew kept me up to date of their progress every step of the way. I will definitely call them for anything I need around the house in the future.
Description of Work: 1. Diagnosis of shower pan in our master bath that creaked and popped when walked on. The noise was so loud we could hear it all over the house. The shower pan as well as the tile surrounding it had to be removed, foam was installed under the pan to stabilize it. The tile was then replaced, grouted and sealed. 2. Squeak under tile in a guest bathroom. Problem was accessed by going through the ceiling under the bathroom. Screws and shims were installed to stop the sound. 3. Replace faucet in kitchen sink. 4. Replaced utility sink in laundry room.

 + -1 moreThey came last February they had to, my kids for Christmas gave me a new stove and the old one was a drop in and he had to do some carpentry work and he came, there's this stove sitting in my garage he got it and he installed it, it was good and also too, couple months later I had a door that it sounds like my house is falling apart but most houses has there problems anyway the door to my bedroom he replaced a door, framing and all, a pretty hang door, the door sort of fell apart and it's done right, I really give them a high recommendation, because some of these handymen.

 + 4 moreWe needed to move quickly from our condo and I called all around to find a handyman that had the time and resources to complete the jobs within a week. Andrew called back on the same day and was very friendly, clear, and up front about what he could do and how long it would take him. He even came out on a SUNDAY to give us an estimate! The work started on the following Tuesday-Thursday and he did an amazing job. He was punctual, communicated regularly about the jobs and left our home clean as he had found it as if he'd never been there! He brought his wife along to help out and they clearly made a great team. I will hire Andrew for any handyman/odd jobs in the future!

 + 7 moreSpot on! Andrew’s estimate was very accurate. Water heater leaked and water ran under wall, damaging walls and flooring.. They replaced water heater ,damaged Sheetrock and removed wallpaper above chair rail and painted walls. We decided to have new tile installed at this time as well.There was a couple minor things discovered as the job was being handled which resulted in additional cost but there was no way anyone could have predicted finding what they found. Andrew discussed the issues with me and didn’t take advantage of the fact that they were already into the job. The additional prices were very fair. Andrew Nikki and Eddie are all great at what they do and very professional. They all work together like a well oiled machine. Andrew is the go to guy!

Even with such a large project like this Andrew’s estimate was right on. The only ad-on was the sub-floor and joist repairs which we knew ahead of time. Just want to say thank guys!
Description of Work: I have been discussing my needs and options for our Bathroom remodel with Andrew for awhile now. We were aware of some sub-floor issues before hand and knew this was going to be part of the remodel. After discussing and reviewing all our options with Andrew we began our project. And and his crew showed up everyday on time and left the work area spotless as he always does. After tearing ( demo ) the bathroom and exposing the sub-floor we knew at that point exactly what we were facing. Andrew proceeded to repair the needed floor joists and sub-floor. After that was complete Andrew was able to proceed with what we discussed to be done in our bathroom remodel. The list was very long and basically included everything. The list included Re-framing shower, sheetrock and paint, installing new shower drain and shower faucet, customized shower bench, new light in shower, custom cultured marble shower pan and walls including bench and a new shower door. Outside of the shower Andrew laid a beautiful tile floor including grout, new light fixtures, new vanity, new counter-top, new faucet. new toilet, new baseboard and quarter round, all new towel bars, new mirror, new shelving, removed popcorn ceiling and skim coated ceiling, wall repairs and paint.

They come on time, do the work that's necessary, work hard all day and leave only when the work is finished. We needed to have some work done at the old house to prep it for sale; and the new house needed to be painted. Everything went extremely well and we look forward to having the team back in our "old" house for some additional work in the near future.
Description of Work: At our "old" house, the team did sheet-rock work, touch-up painting, grout cleaning. At our "new" house the team painted, replaced baseboards and did some electrical work.

 + -1 moreI was cleaning windows and discovered the window would not go up and down. Unfortunately, the weather turned bitter cold and I found this contractor on Angie's List. Within an hour of my phone call, he returned my call, I explained what I knew about the window and we made an agreement to have him come and look at it. I should say that the installer of the windows had gone out of business (of course) and therefore the warranty was void. At the designated time, the contractor arrived and after an evaluation of the window and a few tense moments, he was able to repair the window. What I liked the most was he took the time to explain to me what I did to possibly cause the problem so I would not do it again and what he had to do to repair it.
Description of Work: Repaired the mechanism of the double hung window.

Andrew with Dun Rite Maintenance called me Fri evening and told me about a cancellation he had for the weekend. He was aware of my project as he is the only one I trust to do work at my house. He told me that he would be over the next morning to start. Andrew has always showed up on time and ready to work. The vanity top looks great. I cant believe how neat he is when in your home. When replacing the bedroom door there was no Sheetrock dust, wood shaving or any other type of mess. His organization is what allows him to work so neatly in my eyes. There just isn't enough I can say about Andrew with Dun Rite Maintenance except I am surprised they aren't already on this list. The paint job is top notch and the microwave works great! Thanks Andrew!
