I was pretty surprised about it. I was taken aback. This was the problem, I guess when I paid the $99 and I didn't expect to pay up another almost two hundred and something dollars more after the fact. When I talked to the guy, he said "Well, you have to expect..." I said "No, you should volunteer the information." I saw the ad that they had and it said at this price but there could be changes or additional costs where this website didn't. We didn't have a choice about the amount. This is the ad that Angie's List says so, not just so I accepted it knowing that it was wrong. They said "Well, this is the only thing they offered." I said "I find that hard to believe because it is your business and your allowing Angie's List to dictate something that is incorrect about your business." I said "I don't think Angie's List is going to demean their reputation for what they have to allow this to happen." I would never used them again. I take partial blame because I should have asked upfront. The guy was here for an hour. He's telling me that on top of the $99 I paid, I needed to pay another $200. I was very unhappy. I would never use them again. If I have to use them again, I'm going to have everything upfront with writing and I'm going to be very specific. I've had them out immediately. I was explaining to him that it was decorative. I wouldn't have paid that money for decorative. I live around the corner from a hardware store and I could have gone there. I had two on the outside that went bad. I went and bought the material already. He said "We can't do that because it's not guaranteed." In response to Divine's response, everything that was said by Divine is inaccurate, I was never told any information and the electrician was not at my house three hours, but I would expect this kind of response defending their fabrication of truth...... Where is your INTEGRITY AND HONESTY?

The service was fine. They did everything that I asked them to do but there was an extra charge of $325. Everything was as they told me it would be. They charge a certain amount of travel time each way which they tell you upfront. He actually said that a lot of the Angie's List customers were getting very upset about that but they do call and tell you that in advance. When the owner called me, he said that the electrician would have the cans on the truck and I told him what kind I wanted and then when he got there, he did not have the cans on the truck so I had to pay for an hour of his time to go to Home Depot to get the cans. And if I have known that, I could have done that in advance and save another hour. Their price was definitely higher than the price of the other electricians but the electrician did a good job on the installation of the lights. He was also very nice.

I was unable to use the big deal due to the fine print and additional costs associated with the service. I felt the deal was not straight forward or went over the pricing enough in detail. They were polite but I chose to not pursue service with this company.

I had two outdoor electrical jobs I needed done, (installing a light fixture I had purchased and diagnosing and repairing a non-working outdoor electrical outlet.) Two workers came when promised. They were both courteous and polite. When they discovered that the light fixture I had purchased was missing some necessary mounting hardware and that the broken electrical outlet needed a new weather-resistant box that they didn't have on their truck, they offered to go "off the clock" and take their lunch while I ran to Lowe's to buy the necessary materials. They were then able to complete the repairs satisfactorily. Before they came to do this work, I had purchased a deal Divine offered on Angie's List...$99 for $200 worth of electrical service. I had thought that the two jobs I needed done could normally be completed for $200 or less, so I was a little surprised that I ended up having to pay an additional $104 when the work was done.

The experience with them was good, everything is working now.

After the initial lack of correspondence, they did finally call me, stating that I was emailed a couple of times, although I never did see any emails either in the in box or in the spam folder. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt given the state of some email sites. My other concern relates to the actual rates charged. I wasn't told the rates until the electrician arrived. My recommendation to anyone using any Angie's list providers is to clearly get their rates and how they charge their time before engaging in any arrangement. This is actually something Angie's list should disclose in any promotions offered.

They did not give me an estimate. After showing them what I wanted, both guys went to Lowes which is 10 minutes from my house and took an hour to get back (which they charged me 2 men for 1 hour each. They proceeded to drill 2 holes through my foundation instead of just going about 20 total feet around the corner of my house to the deck. They left some extra lattice I had stacked up by the deck strewn all over the yard then presented me a bill for $750. After voicing my displeasure, the owner did reduce my bill but I would not use them without an upfront estimate.

We purchased a "Big Deal" for 2hrs of electrical labor for $99 in May with an expiration of October. When I contacted the owner (Jesse), he told me the current special was $99 for $200 of electrical labor / services. I explained that I had a valid coupon code that said it did not expire until October. He requested I e-mail him the coupon code and details so he could validate it. He replied to my e-mail that he would honor it (not sure why there was any question of honoring the coupon since it was not expired) and scheduled me for the following week. An electrician, Chris, was scheduled to arrive between 11 and 12pm. He called me at about 12:30pm and explained that his previous job had run longer than expected and he could be there within a half hour. This was not a problem as I was home, but I would've appreciated a call earlier, maybe during the expected arrival time, to know there was a delay, so I could plan accordingly. Chris was very professional and friendly, but again questioned my "deal" for 2hrs of electrical labor, stating that usually they offer $99 for 1hr, because their regular rate is $199 for the first hour and $150 each subsequent hour of labor (wow! this is about $100 higher for the first hour and $75 higher for subsequent hours compared to other good electricians we have used). Once he verified the coupon with Jesse, he verified what I needed done. I told him I wanted a fan hung over our kitchen island (there was a spot for a fixture, but no current fixture attached to the ceiling). It took him about an hour and 15 mins to assemble the fan and hang it over the island. It looks great and works well. He noted that we cannot use the dimmer on that switch because it will create an issue with the motor, but did not have the appropriate switch on his truck to switch it out, so we agreed to follow up with that on our own. He then went to look at our master bedroom for the 2nd fan. He took down the simple light fixture and informed us that the appropriate bracket was not in place to hang a ceiling fan, especially not the one we had purchased (a large heavy fan). He went into the attic to look at the braces and informed me again that he did not have the correct piece on the truck. He told me it would cost an additional $108 to mount the appropriate ceiling bracket in the attic for the fan, and requested that we schedule it for the following day. He said that I had an additional half hour credit from the work for the first day and he would come out to finish the job. There was a trip fee, but he did charge me a 2nd trip fee for the following day. Chris called first thing the following morning and asked if he could come out earlier because an earlier appointment had canceled. This was fine. He attached the bracket in the attic and then proceeded to hang the ceiling fan. He was almost done when he called to show me that an internal sensor had come "undone" in the main housing and was causing a terrible noise that would not allow us to use the fan. He told me our options were to take the fan down and return / exchange it, or attempt to take it apart and remedy the issue. He provided some suggestions on how it could be taken apart, but said he was not sure whether the main housing would be riveted or in some other way not able to be opened. He said he could not spend any more time at our house because he had to get to another appointment. The final invoice was for $165 ($108 + trip charge + addtl labor) . So, now, my husband and I are going to try and "fix" the fan so we can use it. If not, I will have to take it down and return it to Lowes and then we will have to determine whether we attempt to install it, or pay another provider to install the fan. I do not blame them for the fact that the fan was "broken" and felt it was fair to pay them for their time, but am not fully satisfied with the amount I paid and the amount of work that was done. I felt there should have been some goodwill or "credit" to offer to resolve the fan issue or come back at some discount to re-hang a new fan. At this point I have paid $264 to have one ceiling fan hung and a bracket mounted in my attic, which seems fairly steep (considering I see deals for $75-85 to hang ceiling fans all of the time). I am glad that I didn't rack up any higher a bill insisting that the electrician take down the broken fan or try and fix it, but I'm also frustrated that the installation is unresolved and that I have paid as much as I have and only have one working fan to show for it.

When the new dryer was hooked up, we realized that the breaker for the dryer was short-circuited when the old dryer broke. Found the coupon for this company and a couple of other companies on Angie's List. Before purchasing any coupons, called them up and described our problems with the breaker and a couple of other electrical issues. Divine electric was the first one that called back. first, I talked to the owner, and he suggested that we purchase the coupon for the service call, have someone come out to diagnose the problem and give us the estimate. At that point, we were ready to attempt repairing the breaker by ourselves, because it sounded like as if it will take more days and be expensive ($49 for just have someone come out to our house for diagnosis, then another day for $199/hour labor plus materials. We didn't know how long it will take for an electrician to repair things.) And my husband knew exactly what needed to be done. Within 5 min, Chris (an electrician from Divine) called and asked us to describe the problems in details. Then he explained that he could come to our house in 30 min (he was nearby), we just have to buy $99 coupon for $200 labor, and spend $45 for coming out to the house (plus materials). Of course, we hired him right away. Chris worked very efficiently. Replaced the breaker and the outdoor outlet panels (with safety feature), and gave me a couple suggestions about what and how "I" can repair the electric things in the house. All done in a little over an hour. At the end, it would have been pretty much the same price whether we hired this company following the owner's suggestion or the way we did. But the fact that Chris was able to come out in 30 min (it was past 4 pm when we called) was very important to us. Although it annoyed us that Chris criticized our political stickers on our cars (though playfully, but nonetheless we did not appreciate that), his friendliness, efficiency, professionalism, and cleanliness (well organized toolbox is a sign that he takes pride in his work) are all the reason we will call the company back when we redo the kitchen.

The electrician arrived as scheduled and was knowledgeable. The installation was satisfactory. This service was purchased as an Angie's List Special Deal. The Special was $99.00 for $200.00 worth of work. The electrician estimated the amount of work time to be 1.5 hours when he arrived. He also said that the $200.00 worth of service was for 1 hour of work. He worked for 1 hour and 20 minutes, 10 minutes of which he outside on the phone. He charged us for 1.5 hours work. In addition, there was a $49.00 travel charge which was not communicated to us prior to receiving the final bill. The charge for the parts, an outlet box, a plug and less than 10 feet of wire was $145.00. The parts can be purchased at a hardware store for less than $15.00. The work and parts were grossly overcharged and although the work completely satisfactory, the overcharges for travel, time and parts made this experience totally unsatisfactory. After reading the above review, Jesse, from Divine Electric, contacted to see if there was anything he could do to improve our experience. We explained that we felt the price for the materials was way to high and after some discussion, Jesse reduced the bill by $99.00. We appreciate his concern and have upgraded the rating to 'C'. We would have given a higher rating but do feel that the price should have been more appropriate at the time of service.

The was a great buy from Divine Electric. Communication was easy, arrived on time, did the work quickly and perfectly with no added expense. Definitely will keep this company in mind for other electrical needs. The whole experience couldn't have been better.

The job went well. The electrician and his helper arrived on time and were very efficient, competent and respectful . The entire work took about two hours and when complete they did a thorough cleanup. I also, showed them several other jobs I may need to have done in the future. I was very pleased with their work.

The owner was very willing to work with me on any issues and the quality of the service was very good.

Aubrey came out and took care of the list of issues we were having. After he left, some of the outlets stopped working. He came back on Sat. and spent several hours trouble shooting and repairing the problems. Was very professional, cleaned up any mess, explained what he was doing and why. Explained pricing and coupon deduction. Will use this team again in the future.

They were able to work within our budget and gave us a very good price on the work performed. They were efficient and performed high quality work. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again if we need work performed in the future.

Great! I got a response to my inquiry very quickly, and a few days later the guys came out to my place. They were able to quickly find and diagnose the problem and fix it without any problems. We also had some switches that had been causing problems and they replaced those as well. Overall great experience and definitely recommend!

They were very prompt in scheduling an appointment with us which was important as I had a designated time frame that I needed this work done. The electrician was early to the appointment and got the job done in a fair amount of time. He installed the pendant lighting. This went well. The only hiccup is that he did not have the proper tool to install the globes so I had to help with the install as my hands were smaller. Other than that I was pleased with the service.

They came as scheduled and completed the instal. Great job!

I am very happy with your service. They were just here. They were good. They also had an additional fuel charge. They replaced a dimmer that i had. That was an additional cost. They are very good at explaining things. If you have questions, they are very thorough. I was very happy with their service also. I would give them top marks across the board. I don't know what their hourly rate is. I should have asked.

Made two trips out to complete job to our specs.

Technician arrived a little late (delayed in traffic from previous job). The was very polite, professional and after identifying what the need was, he got right to work. He assessed was needed to be done to resolve my problem, advised what parts he would need to pick up, and get right to work. Job was completed in a reasonable timeframe, and the Tech left the area clean and free of debris. The service appointment went very well. I would gladly use this company again in the future for my electrical needs.

I contacted Divine Electrical based on the reviews from Angie's List. I was quoted a price and received an appointment for 2 business days later. Aubrey from Divine called ahead and made it to the appointment when he said he would. As other reviews stated he walked in and went right to work. I was pre-occupied with working from home and was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to hand hold him thru the requests. Aubrey finished up the request in excellent time in the most courteous and professional way. I have already passed along the business cards I received to 3 of my co-workers. I will be sure to contact them again for some follow-up services that I need.
