Installed switched outside flood light. Kelly did a great job. The light was up very high and the switch position was in a very tight location to pull. Kelly offered a way that was better than I suggested which I took him up on. Everything works great. The cost was slightly higher than thought.

Thank you for the great review! I am happy you were very satisfied with the work we performed. As far as cost, I applied a great discount for you like we do all Angieslist members. The normal charge for that job would have been over $600, you paid $350 which is close to 50% off. In comparison some of our competitors on the list would have charged several hundred more. I can understand where you are coming from sometimes jobs seem simple but they turn out to be a little more difficult which was the case here. It was a true pleasure working with you and I look forward to working with you again!

They did a good job. The gentleman actually help me do some stuff that I didn’t really ask for. We do actually caulking some cracks on my woodwork. I can reach it but he had a big ladder and he said okay so he did a really good job. They are here two weeks ago. Actually we change it to $100 coupon for electrical work. They were here on time. They basically knowledgeable and took care of what I my original request was. Actually this is the second time I used them.

It worked out pretty good. I had to pay $40 extra for a switch. They installed four lights and the price was good. I would use them again.

Chris was on time. he did a outstanding job installing the lights. He advised us the best location for the lights and hd them installed in less than 3 hours. he cleaned up afterwords. I plan on using Divine electrical services again. I got a great job for a great price.

The service provider (Jesse) contacted me & informed that the deal was not current and was not supposed to be there on the website. He informed that he is already in touch with Angie's list to have this deal removed. It was good that Jesse contacted me immediately and let me know about this. He even provided a quote for the service that i am looking for which was helpful.

To review how this all started: I purchased a deal on Angie's list for 100.00 worth of electrical service for 50.00. I needed to have a breaker replaced. I provided the breaker myself. All they had to do was install it.. Clearly less than 15 minutes of work. During the breaker installation the electrician they sent out told me that my service box was in need of replacement and it would cost 2800.00. In addition to the 50.00 I had already paid.. for the 100.00 worth of services, I was also charged an additional 99.00! When I reviewed the situation on here I received a phone call and an apology. Jesse the owner discounted to charge to 50.00, and offered to give me a very good price on replacing my service box, and would I please amend the review. I did as he asked because I was appreciative of the fact that he apologized and did what I felt was the right thing.... or so I thought. After sending me a proposal to replace the service box, I accepted and also met with him in person. He told me that I would be contacted this week (the week of Jan. 13) to schedule the job and get it done. I never heard from Jesse. I texted him to no avail. I called and left a voicemail, again to no avail. I then sent him an email and a while later he called me. He informed me that he could not give me any date as to when he could do the job. He said he had to fire his electrician and so he was suspending all service work. Funny when someone give you the impression that he has a staff of electricians working for them and it turns out that it's only one guy. While there is nothing wrong with that, it's certainly not right to give people the impression that you are bigger than you really are. In any event, I was given a proposal, I accepted the proposal and I was told when he would schedule the job, and then I was never contacted again. I had to chase him down to get any sort of response. I told Jesse that I understood his dilemma of not having anyone other than himself to do the job. I asked him when he thought he could get to my job and he said he did not have a time frame he could give me. He said he needed to hire someone, train them, and then figure out when he could do it. I then asked him if he thought that would be a few weeks, months???? He decided the best way to deal with this was to yell at me and tell me he could not give me a time frame. I am in the midst of trying to sell my house and need the box replaced. His lack of courtesy and professionalism has put me in a tough spot. I told him that how we handled this issue was wrong and that I was going to write a review about it. His comment was that I was trying to blackmail him into getting my way out of this situation. As I recall, HE provided me with a proposal which I accepted. HE provided me with a time frame in which the job was to be scheduled, which I accepted. HE never contacted me back, HE never delivered on his obligation, and yet he feels that by reviewing what he did is blackmail. In my opinion, Jesse of Divine Electric may very well have good intentions. I was willing to work with him to come up with something that could work for both of us and yet he chose to discard his obligation and his agreement. BUYER BEWARE. I know that by reading many reviews on here that many customers were happy with their work. I guess I was the "lucky" one to get them when they decided to be less than professional. I am very skeptical about the big deal on here anymore. Seems to me that some of them are simply an invitation to get our business and then manipulate what the cost of the job will be. My suggestion is when there is a special deal on here, call the company and get a price BEFORE you buy their big deal so you know it's legit. The response from Divine Electric is at EVERY level a bald face lie. Beware when you deal with him Look at other reviews and you will consistently see the same excuse from him. He was so busy.. and people got upset with his inability to fit them into their schedule.. etc etc etc. ANYONE who wishes to see actual emails and text messages between he and I need only contact me at my email address: mmmttt@aol.com. He is living proof that no only is he incompetent, he is a complete and total fraud. I can prove everything I have posted. I would challenge him to do the same. THIS IS AN UPDATE TO THE "PROVDER'S" RESPONSE I do not wish to make this longer than it already is but people need to know who they are dealing with and they need to know that Jesse, the owner of Divine Electric is an absolute LIAR. When CHRIS originally came out to install a breaker.. which is how all of this started, he quoted me a price of 2800.00 to replace my exterior service panel. I told him that was alot of money, he then says to me " don't tell my boss but you can get it done cheaper by someone else". He then proceeds to give me his personal number and tells me that once he takes his test to get his own license that he will be glad to do it for me cheaper. This did not set will with me as I have owned several businesses and I look at this type of thing as no better than stealing. If you read my amended review AFTER the first incident of the pricing disparity of the service panel and what I felt was an over-charge for simply putting in a breaker, I sincerely felt that Jesse agreeing to discount his charge on replacing the breaker and offering to quote me.. in his words,,, " a killer price" for a replacement service panel, was a professional and right thing to do. I received an text message from Jesse 4-5 days after our conversation and after I had amended the review, where he quoted 975.00 for the replacement panel. I asked him to send me a real proposal in email. He sends me the proposal and then tells me that there will also be charges for inspection, havign Duke power turn the power off and back on, etc. I asked what that would amount to and I was told 250.00 dollars, in addition to the 975.00. I told him I was out of town and would get back wth him in a few days which I did. I contacted him when I got back in town, told him to schedule the job, but i also wanted to meet with him in person to discuss a matter with him that I felt was better done face to face. We met on Janueary 7th at 11 a.m at Panera Bread at the Arboretum Shopping Center. It was at that time I told him about his employee Chris and how he was offering to work on the side as well as the "don't tell my boss" comment. I felt as a business man he needed to know what was going on. He told me he appreciated it very much and he would have to watch Chris carefully. Upon leaving Panera Bread, he told me he would schedule the job for the following week. I told him to just let me know when and to please give me at least one day notice, as my wife works out of the home and would need to make arrangements since the power would be off for several hours. Having not heard anything from him either by text message or voice mail by the 15th of January, I sent him an email to which he finally text messages me and says "sorry been really busy" which if you will look at nearly all of the reviews with any complaint you will see that seems to be his favorite excuse. He then tells me he might be able to squeeze me in "next week". My reply was that I would appreciate something a bit more definite. Again he goes back to the "Ive been bombarded and I just can't commit to a specific date. My reply to him was that it was clear that he has no desire to stand by his commitment since he won't even give me any kind of time frame. At this point he calls me and tells me he is short handed as he fired Chris.. which judging from the last review I say which was after my exchange with Jesse, he clearly did not fire him as he said he did. I told him very clearly that I understood his predicament and was willing to work with him on time but he had to give me some kind of time frame. At that point he decided that yelling at me was better than being professional. I told him that I fully intended to put this into a review on Angie's list. He commented that i was trying to blackmail him into making him do the job. I reminded him that HE quoted the job, HE agreed to the job, and HE was going to schedule the job. HE backed out of the job. Not to mention the many lies he has perpetrated during this entire situation. The bottom line is this: he quoted a job never expecting to ever do the job. As I typed previously, I have emails and text messages that prove well beyond any doubt what transpired and prove beyond any reasonable expectation that Jesse is a liar. At no time did I tell him I was getting quotes from anyone else. That is yet another fabrication. He says he finds me despicable because I tried to "blackmail" him. What is despicable is someone who pretends to have integrity, pretends to be professional and in fact is disingenuous at best and is a total and complete liar. There is an old axiom that I hold to and it proves right time and time again. 'People with integrity expect to be believed, and when they are not, they let time prove them right." Divine Electric will one day be out of business like the many that come and go. karma is a b**** Jesse.. and all the lying and obfuscation in the world will not change that fact.
Description of Work: The provider proposed a price to install an electrical service in my home that was part of a pricing resolution that I reviewed earlier. I agreed to the proposal and he told me he would be contacting me this week to schedule the job.

I am sorry you are unhappy about your experience with our company but this review is not an accurate description of the encounter. This customer had left us a prefect A review for a job we had done prior to this estimate which you may see below. The customer is exaggerating and not being very honest. This gentleman was upset that we were too busy to accommodate his electrical work on his schedule. Sometimes we get bombarded with work and I simply have to tell customers that we can not accommodate them. This was the case here, when we told the customer we couldn't take on any more work he became very angry and threatened me. I am always honest with my customers and most people can appreciate when a contractor is honest. I am not sure why the customer was so angry and hostile when I informed him we were to busy at the moment. All he had to do was call another electrician to do the work which he acquired several quotes for. We gave this customer an estimate several weeks after we had repaired a breaker, he informed me he was getting more estimates and would be in touch. When he emailed me about the project I replied within one day. At no point were we trying to evade or dodge the customer. I think this customer was frustrated about other events not related to our company and simply decided to take those frustrations out on us. He even tried to black mail me which I find despicable. I purchased a deal for $99. The service provider came to my house examined the problem, told me I owed $156.75 more for the service and my problem is still not fixed. UPDATE: Returned to my home and repaired a lighting problem that I had. The service provider was prompt and professional.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The work was done satisfactory. The materials were $60. At one point, when he made out the invoice he put total materials $60 and total labor $62.50. I told him that was already paid for with Angie's List. He took that off and simply charged for the ballast, which was fair. It went right along and was handled okay. I didn't have any complaints at all. I don't know how much ballast are at the store as compared to the price they charged. It worked out nicely and everything is under control.
Description of Work: I used Divine Electric Company to replace a 2 bulb ballast on a light in our closet.

This customer called me and I requested she text me her info as it was after hours and I was not in my office nor did I have anything to write with. The customer acknowledged but never texted me and I did forget to call her so that is my fault. I did reach out to this customer after she sent us a message and we did set up an appointment the same day for 2-3pm that afternoon. My technician called her about noon that day and said he was running a little behind and he would arrive closer to 4pm. The customer cancelled the appointment and left a negative review. I honestly try to make every customer happy and we did that here. I apologize this didn't go smoother but sometimes we get a little bombarded with our work load. The technician that came out was good but I could tell he was frustrated. It took 3 days to fix my issue and the owner was generous about what he was charging me additionally. I thought the owner should have come out if the workers were not diagnosing the problem correctly in the first in the first place.
Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for $49 for Electrical Service Call & up to 30 Minutes of Diagnostic Time. They had to re-wire the whole back end of the house and it took longer than I expected and I had to pay more than I anticipated.

Sorry we didn't earn an A. I think the frustration came from the fact that the wiring in your home was in very poor condition. We found multiple issues in the home and sometimes trouble shooting takes more time then you might expect. This was honestly one of the worst wiring jobs I had seen and other contractors may not have been able to solve the problem and likely would have given up. We did give you a great discount so I hope that shows that we do care about our customers. I would have loved to come out and help troubleshoot but it's a one man job and you would have to pay for 2 electricians in that case and we always strive to save customers money by being efficient. The guy knew exactly what he was doing and was very quick. He pinned the problem down with in minutes of arriving. I then had him replace some switches and and an outlet which were causing the problem. He did excellent work.

The service rep replaced a timer for my front porch light that was no longer functioning. I'm very glad that I called an electrician because the wires were nicked previously and the timer had malfunctioned because of it. The timer was only 2 months old. He was very thorough and pulled out all of the wires to check to make sure there were no other issues. I was very happy with the service, quality and thoroughness of the job that was done. I feel safer and I'm glad that I called. I really liked the prompt response and communication from the owner. I would definitely use them again and I plan on doing so in the near future.

This is my second time using Divine Electric. In both instances, they were prompt & courteous, and very reasonably priced. I didn't have an Angie's List coupon but they gave me the best deal they could based on current specials. Very attentive & helpful. Chris was great. Thanks & won't hesitate to call you next time.

Replaced a bad breaker. Also replaced 2 bulbs in ceiling and stairwell. Changed the bulb on the outside flood fixture. |The breaker went out on aa weekend and they were willing to come then, but is wanted to wait until Monday. They were very friendly and nice. I was pleased with their work.

I purchased a $99 for $200 of Electrical Services coupon from Angie's List. I didn't have to pay any extra money for the labor, but I had to pay about $85 for the dimmer switch. The work was done by Chris. He was supposed to come at 9 a.m., but since he wasn't able to get at my house in time, he made a courtesy call to me and told me that he would be late 15-30 min. I appreciated the fact that he informed me about this delay. Once he arrived at my house, he promptly identified and fixed the problems. His demeanor was professional, effective and pleasant. I am pleased with the quality of the electrical work he did at my house in order to fix the problems.Chris asked me on the phone to describe my electrical problems so that when he arrived at my house, he wouldn't have to waste the time and go straight to work on the problems. I am very pleased with my Divine Electric Company LLC experience. I will definitely use their services again.
Description of Work: He trouble shot the fan light and replaced the burned out light bulb in the loft. He also replaced the defective dimmer switch in the dining room.
