Job was completed with total satisfaction. The guys were on time, very neat and very professional. We have used Long Electric several times and have always been totally satisfied.

They came out and helped me out with the problem. They replaced the light in the ceiling and some of the aluminum wiring as well. The switch on the wall wasn't making a connection so he worked with that. He also checked the electrical box outside and tested it and let me know that everything was fine. Then, on a whim, he checked my worn out gas pack, and it showed that the breaker wasn't getting power from there to the gas pack. Then he replaced the breaker and everything was working well again. Overall he did a great job.

They do amazing work! First off, they showed up promptly and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. Bobby was very nice and he paid extra attention to details.

Bobby and Andy arrived within an hour of contacting them. They were both friendly, courteous and extremely professional. They explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. They were also very efficient and reasonably priced. We would highly recommend this company. As if all this weren't enough...using an Angies List coupon we saved $15.00. Other estimates we were given were as much as $265. our total bill with David Long's company was $124.50.

It went very well. From the time the electrician arrived to provide an estimate until the dust was swept up at completion, everything was handled efficiently, professionally and expeditiously. Between the time the estimate was provided and the work commenced was about two weeks. The delay was ours not the service provider. Mr Long called once to make sure we weren't waiting on him. The work was performed by Bobby (electrician) and Andy (assistant.) They arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time and went to work immediately. Bobby was also the estimate provider and as such was already familiar with the work to be done. In fact, as a result of the confidence I felt while discussing the estimate, I decided to go ahead with some other work I had been debating. They both worked continuously and steadily until the work was completed. They not only provided the services requested, they did it in such a manner as to avoid any scarring of the walls or floors and the items installed were done neatly and smoothly, resulting in a finished product that cannot be differentiated from the equipment installed when the house was built. One of the items installed was a transfer switch, allowing the house to be powered by a generator during an electrical outage. The positioning of the switch itself was somewhat tricky. I am confined to a wheelchair and consequently, the box had to be placed in such a way as to allow necessary proximity to the main electrical panel while keeping at a level accessible by me and also allowing the door to open sufficiently to allow passage in the wheelchair. Bobby positioned it perfectly, the first time, with no adjustment necessary. He was also very tolerant of my incessant questions, not even charging extra for my assistance.

We wanted to have a new exhaust fan installed in our bathroom, but needed to have it done so the timing could coincide before the arrival of our next contractors, who were scheduled to arrive within a week. We contacted the company and the owner, David Long, called back within a couple of hours. He was very helpful in scheduling this project so we could have it completed within the timeframe we needed, and took the time to thoroughly discuss what we wanted and needed, explaining the details and answering all questions. The gentlemen who actually came to do the work were very professional and respected our home, taking good care of everything and leaving it clean when they left.

They did a great job and sent someone out right away.

Overall, great experience. The work was done within a reasonable amount of time. Bobby and Andy arrived on time and kept things neat. Bobby gave us good advice on the placement of the recessed lights. We're very pleased and would definitely use this company again in the future.

A week ago my husband was working in his basement office when he noticed sparks and popping sounds coming from an outlet where a space heater was plugged in. When he saw flames he called 911 and the fire dept. came. The outlet box was burned and we were instructed by our insurance co. to get an estimate right away. Since we did not have an electrician I looked in the Angie's List bulletin and found David Long Electrical. As it was now about 6 pm on Fri. night, I called expecting to leave a message. To my surprise a woman answered and took my information. Within minutes I was speaking to David and he offered to send someone out the next day. On Sat. Bobby called and came out. He thoroughly examined everything and checked all the ciruits. He gave us an estimate which was much less than we had been told to expect by the fire dept. We had to wait to speak to the insurance agents early in the week so we set up an appt. for Wed. Bobby came a little early and completed the job in less time than had originally been estimated. He was very professional and helpful in every way. My husband and I were very happy we had called David Long Electrical and felt comforta

The quote was reasonable and he scheduled the work as soon as I was available. The professionalism was exceptional from all members of those that worked in my home. The lighting (multiple installations) went in as planned and the experience was great. The cleanup that is done as they work was such a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting that from a contractor. A quality company. I would definitely use this company again and have recommended them several times already.

After 2 weeks, David Long has not provided an estimate . He has my e-mail address and my telephone. Gave him my e-mail address and he promised to get back with me shortly with an estimate. Checked email daily for over a week- nothing. Finally. after 2 weeks, I called, spoke with his receptionist who idicated she would relay the message to him within minutes. They say "patience is a virtue, " but I still have not heard from Mr. Long. I presume this is his way of saying he does not wish to perform these services at my home. That's fine. Just be curteous enough to inform me of such.

Excellent service. Needed a light replaced in my two story foyer. Bobby & Andy arrived right on time. They had brought a really tall ladder but it happened to be about 2 ft too short so they left to get a larger one and returned back promptly. It was obvious these guys knew what they were doing. They worked very efficiently and completed the job in 1.5 hours which including time to go back for the ladder. They were both very pleasant - such a nice change to find someone who actually enjoys doing their work. They made the experience very enjoyable and I was very pleased with all aspects of this transaction. Would definitely use them again.

Excellant! Jon and Andy showed up early in the time frame that David had given us. They were both friendly and went out of their way to check everything for me. My husband has been disabled for about 9 years from a stroke which leaves me to either do things I can do myself or pay for high cost professionals (handymen, etc). For what they did and the time they spent, I felt as if the prices were reasonable on labor and they listed everything they replaced and the cost of what they supplied. Prices were as if I went to a hardware store myself and purchased them. I would like to reccomend David and his crew for your next project for their honesty and workmanship. I will definetly use them again.

They arrived on time, worked steadily, and did a professional job. We are very pleased with the result.

When David came out to give us a proposal, he made a few suggestions which we implemented. He was spot on and we love the outcome. He is professional, does work in a timely manner, keeps you updated on the progress and does an excellent job cleaning up afterward. We highly recommend David and will definitely use him again in the near future!

They were punctual, very pleasant and did a great job! We feel much better about the electrical system in our house and more confident that there won't be any electrical issues! They had to come back out to re-fix one switch, but, again, did so quickly and at no charge since it was an switch they had previously looked at. Would definitely use them again!

We found David Long Electrical on Angies List and they came out as soon as we called and repaired the fixture right away for a decent price. We have been ripped off by just about every contractor/salesman/service provider we have used since we arrived in Charlotte so it was SUCH a relief to finally meet an honest professional doing good work for a good price! David was prompt, curteous, reassuring, professional. He had to repace under the counter lighting, outlets and repaired a variety of electrical shortages due to the strike.. He worked efficiently and thoroughly. He was prompt and curteous.

I can't say enough nice things to express how amazed and PLEASED I was the David would send an electrician to my house early in the morning on A SATURDAY to fix a small problem. The electricain he sent out is Bobby. Bobby is awesome! He fixed the electrical outlet and solved my small problem and the painting I was doing in my 3.5 year old son's room could continue. Then he went to the next level. He saw that there were some wires in the wall and took a lot of time to fix and remove unnneeded wires...He then amazed me and said you are paying for the time what else can I do for you! He adjusted a doorbell that and did numerous other things. Bobby is the real deal. He is a ex -Navy man and the honesty and character of this man are noteworthy. Thank you Bobby! Our air conditioning stopped working during a very hot, humid week this summer. I first called a hvac company, but it turned out that the trouble wasn't with the a/c units, but rather with our electrical panel. David Long sent someone out right away. They discovered that our panel was severely overloaded and the circuit for the a/c had burned out. They got the a/c working that day, then came back the next week and replaced the panel. I was very happy with their courtesy and concern about getting our a/c back on as soon as possible.

Bobby and Andy showed up right on time. Running the homerun for the A/C unit was dirty work and I was amazed how quickly they were able to get the wire run. The work in the ceiling was tricky because they did not know what was in the ceiling. I was asking them to cut holes in the ceiling to get the wire to where it needed to be run and gave them the green light to do as much damage as needed to get the wire run. The wonderful thing is they figured out an ingenious way to run the wire with very little damage. This was definitely going above and beyond my expectations. I also told them I knew they were charging by the time -that to save me money that they could skip cleaning up drywall damage. The response I got was "absolutely not", they could not leave any work area a mess and they had to clean up and they did a wonderful job. They also really seemed to enjoy what I was asking them to do. Thanks David Long Electric!
