The electrician was punctual. He answered all of our questions about the work directly and honestly. However, his estimate seemed high for the amount of work being done. When we told him that, he said that there was some uncertainty about how long a portion of the work would take. The implication seemed to be that he was estimating on the high side, although he made no provision for a lower bill, in case it was an easier job than anticipated. We decided to ask another company for an estimate, which turned out to be almost $150 lower ($350 vs. almost $500). We hired the lower-priced company and are completely satisfied with the results. We have filed a report for the other company also.

David was busy the day I called but scheduled me for early next week and said he would call if they could come earlier. He called Monday morning, and they were able to come that day. The technician did a good job and was very efficient.

The really amazing thing was promptness. I called around 3:00 pm and the electrician was at my place a little after 5:00pm. He did the work neatly and well.

David Long dispatched an electrician to service my home the same afternoon I called. The electrician was knowledgeable (he had to make a modification to the overhead light in order to get it to work). I was extremely pleased with both the timeliness and and quality of service provided.

David and his guys were on the ball. They were friendly and fast. They were also great.

He was punctual, polite, and did the whole job in a thoroughly workmanlike fashion. I will be hiring them again for another job.

My air conditioner quit working (on a 90+ degree day) and the problem was not the unit per my HVAC contractor but rather a ''79 cent switch'' that was preventing electricity from getting to the unit. It was 3pm and it was 85 degrees in my house. I called David Long electric as a new customer. By 5 pm, Gary had arrived, replaced the switch (and charged only $1.29 for this part), repaired the unrelated GFI issue, and was leaving. Fantastic service and timeliness of response. Would definitely use again and have already recommended to my neighbor. All this and an Angie's List 1st hour service discount to boot!

I called David Long contractors on Friday the 7th with a request to resolve some issues with an inspection. I was able to get a schedule for the 12th. The tech arrived early, and got right to work! Within an hour the problem was resolved. He was very professional and fast. Fantastic service!!! Highly recommended!!!

Not good! They made an appointment between 10 AM and Noon. No show, no call, until 12:05PM, just as we were about to leave the house for another engagement. I asked that they reschedule and have not received a call back.

David Long's Company is Excellent and very prompt and did a wonderful Job. I would recommend the company to anyone. Very honest and reliable.

David sent Gary over, Gary was very punctual and polite. We originally called him over to replace some outlets, that we could not get to work. When he began working, he realized that there was some additional problems with the wiring. He called me on my cell to inform me of the problem and that this would take longer and be more expensive then we originally anticipated. I appreciated him making this call. Gary was pleasant to talk too and work hard. Cleaned up well also.

Gary and his helper arrived on time and did the work without even stopping for lunch. They asked appropriate questions and offered advice to facilitate the work being done properly, and were courteous and professional. They cleaned up the area after the job was completed. My wife and I are pleased with the results and will use them again. This is the second time we have used Long Electric. Both experiences have been positive.

He came out and looked at everything we wanted done and said that he would email us an itemized quote (because we weren't sure if we could afford to have all of it done at one time). After a few days of not hearing from him, I sent him an email to follow up. He almost immediately emailed me back with a quote in one lump sum, which was more than we had anticipated. I suggested we only do what was absolutely necessary. I haven't heard from him since.

George and his helper arrived right on time, worked quietly and cleaned up after each task was complete. George offered a very creative and efficient solution to a tricky and difficult wiring issue with the parlor chandelier, due to the age of the house. I was very pleased with the way they handled each task. Arrive at 8:00 am, done by 1:30 (no lunch break), came in under original quote.

Very good. Prompt. Responsive. Thorough. Professional. Would recommend.

VERY GOOD. ON TIME, POLITE, PROFESSIONAL. CLEANED UP OKAY. I HAD SOME DIFFICULT ASPECTS TO THE JOB, AND THEY WORKED THROUGH IT. NO CHANGE IN PRICE EXCEPT THAT TWO FANS NEEDED NEW BOXES TO BE UP TO CODE.

After expecting a scheduled service, no one showed. Went to Angie's List, called David Long and his rep was here in 2 hours. Pleasant, efficient and reasonable.

David Long sent Gary over to do this work, and he did a nice job for us. He was early for his appointment and very polite. David's office got tangled-up on ordering a specific timer switch I was interested in, but he offered to install those for me at no charge when they came in. Very nice touch. We'll be needing Gary back in a couple of months to help install a couple of new light fixtures.

Wow. These guys worked hard & they were great!! They arrived promptly at 8:00 as agreed. We walked through all of the items that were required to be done & off they went. This 2 man team worked non-stop for over 11 hours. They were extremely knowledgeable electricians that really took pride in their work. In addition they treated our home like their home. They were respectful & ensured that every detail we discussed was addressed. I would highly recommend David Long Electrical Contractors for any electrical work you need done.
