Purchased Angie’s List special from Bulwark. Took some time to get scheduled but once appointment was set, everything went great. Tech Ness Gray showed as promised during the appointment window, was professional, courteous, and performed his job thoroughly.

Tech. explained everything he did, and why. Treated attic, around pipes coming into house, and down into the crawl space. We think he did a very through job, and expect no further visitors.

Jason Testa sprayed both the exterior and interior. I asked if the interior needed spraying since it is getting cold, and he advised we should since the insects tend to come inside when it's cold. He was thorough and courteous, spraying the attic and storage rooms as well.

Using Bulwark extermination was a pleasure. I engaged their services via a coupon. My technician was Ben who did an excellent job. Ben explained in detail the services that would be performed and answered all my questions. Ben was punctual & had a very pleasant personality. I look forward to using Bulwark for future extermination services & would not hesitate to recommend them.

I have used Bulwark for a few years. Initially, they were acceptable however in the past year or so I have had repetitive problems with them. Other than the termite account that I have with them, the other two service accounts (bug and mosquito) have had scheduling, performance and billing issues. On several occasions they were either late or no-shows. Additionally there has been numerous occasions when an appointment was scheduled and set, then subsequently I would receive calls asking me to schedule an appointment for the very service in which I had a set appointment, however they had no record of that scheduled appointment! When I spoke with a 'supervisor' explaining the issues I had, he indicated he would schedule an appointment for me and call me back. He never called back nor was an appointment made. The final straw was when they came to spray for bugs and mosquitoes, the serviceman never did the bug spray though I was charged for it. When I called to report this, they asked me if I 'was sure' it wasn't done. There were absolutely NO granuals anywhere which had always been present in the past when the service had been done as well as the time involved which was extremely shorter than ever before. Their policy is to re-do the service in 48 hours if mosquitoes/bugs are still a problem. My experience was a respray in a week or two, if I was lucky to get an appointment in the same month depending upon the date of original service. In the past their mosquito service was effective, however, this past year it has had no positive effect on the mosquito problem. I did ask if they changed their solution or if they might have it watered down too much to which they indicated they had not. After I called them on my own to schedule, I indicated the previous problem to which they indicated the serviceperson would re-spray for mosquitoes and also do the bug treatment. No one showed up, so when I called to inquire they indicated they cancelled that appointment and were going to reschedule. No one let me know they had cancelled my appointment. The major problem with the appointment challenges are this: because of the chemicals used, the dogs need to be brought into the house and remain there for about 30 minutes until the chemicals dry. I have 14 dogs to shuffle in/out so appointment accuracy, as much as possible, is necessary. While waiting for an appointment for a respray for mosquitoes and an actual bug treatment I received a bill for both even though I had yet to receive the bug treatment. I did pay for both services, and waited for my appointment for service, even though they advertise respraying can be done in 48 hours, though this has never occurred in my experience. When the serviceman came to do both services, he did the mosquito spray, sort of, (because he completed it in about 10 minutes which is impossible to do with the size of my yard) and I then saw him in his truck so I asked him when he was going to do the bug treatment. He indicated he did not know he was suppose to do this but he had the equipment in the truck and would do it. I watched him from my window and he spread the grandulars on about one quarter of the exterior of my house then got back into his truck and left. I called right away and reported this to a 'supervisor'. He solution was that my next treatment would only cost one quarter of the cost! To make this experience with this company worse, they have continued to REBILL me for the respray. As for the bug services, I have paid for in full though not received FULL service. I wrote a letter indicating this had been paid, gave them the check number and amount and I have since received two more billing notices where they have indicated 'third request for payment'!! When they came to check the termite traps, I spoke with the serviceman, reiterated the entire experience to him. He apologized on behalf of the company and told me he would have a serviceperson that he knew was efficient come and do the service for me. The discussion occurred several weeks ago and no one called to schedule any appointment until today, though there was no mention or acknowledgement of this specific ongoing problem. I spoke with another 'supervisor' today, and again reiterated my entire experience with Bulwark up to and including this 3rd payment due notice which had already been paid, giving her the check number and date and amount. After putting me on hold several times, relating that she 'went over the records' kept telling me there was a balance due for a mosquito service. Regardless of what I told her, giving dates and what occurred on those dates which would indicate there was NO balance due, she offered to reduce the balance by one half. Incredulous, I repeated there was no balance due and if she believed there was, then she could deduct it from the full payment made for a quarter service received which had left three quarters of a payment that was the balance for the partial service received! She said she could not do that to which I replied and I cannot pay for a service I did not receive! After putting me on hold for an extended period time again, she returned and indicated she would change my account to a 0 balance and then schedule an appointment for my next regular service. I indicated I wanted notification sent indicating a 0 balance to which she sent an email. I declined to schedule an appointment, telling her that a can of Raid was more effective than their bug treatment! Additionally, I received three letters, one for each account, indicating a price increase for each of the services I had with Bulwark. My last contact date is for today's conversation with this company.

Marcello was very professional and did a thorough job. He explained what he was going to do in advance and provided updates along the way. Responsiveness and scheduling from Bulwark was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend them for pest control treatment.

Technician was very professional; explained treatment plan and chemicals he planned to use. He also treated the exterior around the foundation area. After one hour there was no sign of ants, and we have not had another incident with any insects since the treatment.

They had to come back twice but did so willingly and we are now bug free.

The technician, Robert Haynes, was very knowledgeable and answered several questions I asked about different insects and treatment alternatives. He cleaned up several spider webs on the porches and inside the garage and set up spider traps. Overall I was very well pleased with his service.

It went well except I was told they would follow up the next week and they never did. The person on the phone and the person that showed up asked if I wanted to sign up for their continuing service and I declined. Two months later I got a bill for the continuing service.

Gerard 'Buddy' Dunn was a substitute for our normal route technician. He was courteous, professional and even a little early for his appointment. He did an excellent job and would recommend to anyone. The whole Bulwark team is one in the same.... Excellent! Mark in Weddington

Robert Haynes provided services for us on 10/5/17. He was very professional and polite, and exceptionally thorough and meticulous.

They did a good job. I feel they stood by their work. They not only came out one time and sprayed they said they would come back out and spray in the next 60 days, so I called and they came out and sprayed for no charge. They sprayed the outside for both visits. I felt the people that came out tried their best and I appreciate that. I have had no problems so far.
