Ace Concrete

So my wife and I bought a foreclosed home, which had been vacant for over a year. There is a nice sized deck outside, close to 6 ft off of the ground. So plenty of room to talk under. It felt like such wasted space. I needed somewhere to store my lawn tools, since the HOA doesn't allow tool sheds. I called David and he was great! He came out, took a look around, and gave me an estimate. Which was very fair by the way. We had talked about what I was looking for and he was patient, making sure to answer all of my questions. We scheduled an appointment for him to come back to complete the work. Didn't have to take any time off for the completion. He laid concrete underneath the deck, about 14x18. On one end, he slooped it down - like ramp - so I could more easily pull in a lawn mower. (I eventually put up some lattice siding myself and now I have a place for my tools without trying to find space in the garage!) I was very pleased with the work. And I need to add, that David's customer service is fantastic. There have been so many companies I've called for various other jobs. Sometimes they get back with you, sometimes they don't. But you could tell David truly cared about doing a good job and doing it right the first time. I would highly recommend David for any concrete work you needed done. Would definitely use him again.

Called David on Saturday thinking I would only leave a message and hear back in a few days, but he called me back in a few hours. Came out and looked at the job and said he would get scheduled. Called the next day, came out and within 2 to 3 hours the job was finished and cleaned up. He also worked with me during the job as we had to make some real time decisions how/where to make the cuts to give it all a finished look. He hauled away all debris and cleaned up the work site. Total length cut was only about 40 feet but required precision cuts and planning due to sprinkler lines/heads adjacent to walkway. Highly skilled and professional approach to his work!

David was awesome and has a work ethic that is hard find anymore. We originally contacted David on August 31st for an estimate. He came out that same evening- after his long workday- to give a detailed explaination everything he would need to do, measure the site and give us the estimate. Unforeseen circumstances on our part delayed the project. When we notified David of the delay, he was unfazed and cheerfully told us he would adapt to our timetable. When a plumbing emergency delayed us a second time, he was again unfazed. Instead, he came over and prepared the area he would be pouring on, including removing some stubborn tree roots. He framed out the work area and used special (laser?) equipment to ensure the slab would be level and corners squared. He put the crushed rock and rebar down so that when we were able to move on with the project, the area would be ready for the electrician (who is not affiliated with David or his company in any way) to do the work necessary to ground/bond the pad. Five weeks after our initial contact, we were finally able to move forward, we scheduled David to come out on the same day the electrician projected that his work would be completed. David arrived with all of his equipment and was ready to go. Unfortunately, the electrician was not as diligent and precise with his work and the County Electrical Inspection failed (all electrical issues nothing to do with any work David had done). We had to delay David yet again. Incredibly, he again seemed unfazed and was extremely patient. The battle between electrician and County Inspector spanned over a week, delaying David and everyone else involved in the process. After the Electrical work finally passed inspection, the electrician inexplicably refused to come by to fill in the trenches he previousy dug. Although they needed to be left unfilled until the Inspector passed the electrical work, it was the responsibilty of the electrician to fill them in again. It was also necessary for them to be filled so David could begin his work. I began to fill them on my own.The minute David arrived on site he took over without my asking and filled in the trenches for me. A true gentleman. He never once complained about rescheduling, the long delays, the extra work, extra trips to our house, etc... nor did he raise the price. I should note that our yard is already fenced, making it necessary to use wheelbarrows to transport the heavy concrete from the truck to the slab frame. The distance is at least 65 feet on a very rocky and uneven slope. I was also very impressed with the respect shown not only to my husband and me; but to our property as well. David and his workers were professional, polite and courteous throughout. They placed plastic over the driveway prior to the concrete truck arriving to avoid oil stains. Our yard was left in better condition than when they arrived. Upon completion, everything was cleaned up and rinsed down, not a drop of debris left behind. I would highly recommend David to my family, friends or anyone in need of concrete work. And if I have future concrete needs, I will definitely call David.

Excellent service. From the meeting for design and estimate until the job was complete I was very satisfied. David arrived on time, offered suggestions, completed the job as described and cleaned up. Would use again if need arises.

Dave was so easy to work with! He came and gave us an estimate the same day I called. He answered all our questions thoroughly. He was able to schedule the job for the same week I called just to ask to be put on his schedule. Dave and his employees were punctual, friendly and very skilled. David was on time, did the work in a professional manner, and finished job was excellent.

Dave and his crew were totally professional and responsive from first contact to completion. The project was became much more difficult than first estimated due to the determination that the previous owners had installed one concrete drive over the previous one which resulted in the removal of almost double the amount of material. Even though this discovery required many more hours of work and additional equipment for removal Dave did not increase his original estimate. They also paid particular attention to the surrounding landscape. We would highly recommend Dave Stalling for all your concrete needs

The job went very well. Dave came to my house prior to the job and explained the job well. I had a lot of questions. With the slope of my backyard we agreed upon a smaller project than I originally thought. He did exactly what he said he'd do, the patio looks great and he saved me money by putting back the fence post that was taken down to make room for the bobcat and also encouraging me to keep my old pavers that now I put in another spot in the backyard. Made recommendations for sealing patio also. Good communication and care throughout.

Called Dave on Friday and he was here on Monday at 8am. He did a GREAT job removing a large slab of cracked concrete from our driveway. Our house is a fairly new custom home in Davidson Wood in Davidson. This repair is just another to add to a long list of shoddy work performed by our custom contractor. The company that originally did our driveway did not properly level it, so some areas only had about 2.5 inches of concrete that cracked almost immediately upon moving in to the house. Dave's work looks great and we will definitely be calling him again for his services should another concrete pad crack or for any other concrete needs. Dave and his helper were very professional, pleasant and cleaned up very well after all work was completed. All in all his work well exceeded our expectations. Don't hesitate to call him for all of your concrete needs. He does wonderful work!

David returned my call promptly, came to give me an estimate within a day or so. After we gave him the go-ahead he worked us in the following week (we were not in any hurry). The job went very smoothly, no fuss, no muss. David and his crew were very professional and we couldn't be more pleased with the extra parking pad so my husband can park his work truck out of the way of family coming and going. After looking at our job he determined that it was out of the scope of what he does. However, he spent a lot of time talking to us and giving us suggestions of who to call to try to fix our problem. He was very knowledgable and helpful. We would not hesitate to call him for other work.

David was great. He answered my call and was out that same evening for an estimate. When I said yes to his offer he and his crew were at my house at 11:00 the next morning to do the work. It looks great and we couldn't be happier. He explained what was going on during each step and kept me updated with the whole process. It was a 100 degrees out but they kept working. His estimate was $1000-$2000 less than the other 2 estimates I received.

David was great! Immediately called me back and gave me a quick quote over the phone when I described what I wanted done. A few of the other concrete companies I called would not give me a quote over the phone, and some never replied at all. Within a day or two, he met me at the house to look at the area and write up an official quote. He told me he would try to squeeze the job in one day the following week, and called that Friday to say he could be there on Monday. When I arrived early Monday morning he was already there. The finished product looks amazing, and I wish we'd had him fix our sidewalk which he pointed out was a tripping hazard while he was there (the sidewalk was also pointed out in the inspection). Would highly recommend him to anyone and will definitely hire him again for any other concrete projects.

Perfectly. David Stallings saw how dangerous the driveway was for walking and promised to get it done as soon as possible. We had lived with it for some years, but it was dangerous and we had to walk very carefully on it. Also, the driveway was unsightly. David and other workers were punctual and did just what they said they would. I wasn't well that day so didn't get to see the progression of the job as I had planned. When they were finished, I did see it, and I was very pleased! Even now, every time I see the driveway I am so proud of the way it looks. And I'm picky. I needed my driveway expanded to allow for another parking spot. I also had two large areas of the existing driveway that had been damaged by tree roots. I found David to be very reliable. He was easy to reach and followed up on everything we discussed in a thorough, timely, and friendly manner. He cleaned up and removed all the old concrete and left the yarn clean. HIs new concrete looks beautiful, and he's given us thoughts on how to keep it looking new. The raised walk now drains rain away from the flower beds into the lawn, so we no longer have "lakes" when it rains. Although only time will tell long-term performance, we are confident that his work will last well into the future. We highly recommend David for his integrity, skill, and execution of the work.
