A1 Roofing and Siding (Jim Higgins) and his crew did an excellent job repairing my roof. They were professional, punctual, and reasonable! I highly recommend them to anyone needing a new food or just repairs!!

We needed to replace the roof of our 5,000 square foot home. A-1 came out and, after we agreed to their estimate, got to work. And work they did! In 99 degree temperatures, those guys worked from 9 am to well after 4 pm for three days straight. As expected there was a lot of pounding noise, but thanks the near super human diligence on the part of the work crew, the racket was short in duration and we are extremely pleased with the results. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in search of roof replacement.

I obtained the phone number from a truck parked in front of my local grocery and the next Monday called to schedule an estimate. I left my information - no response. One week later, I called again - no response (the secretary did apologize and promised someone would call. Early this week, called again - no response (again the secretary apologized and said someone would call). I presume this company has so much work that they did not need mine.

Great experience from start to finish. The quote I received almost seemed to good to be true, so I wondered if I was going to get surprised by things that needed repair once the old roof was off. Turns out only one sheet of plywood needed to be replaced. I had to reschedule last minute and it wasn't even a problem. These guys are pros! Crew showed up right on time, had crew leaders who spoke english and were polite and professional. They knocked out the roof in a single day and even changed the bulbs in my flood lights on request. Cleanup was great - I have pets so was worried about loose nails. No damage to plants, deck, driveway. I would do business with A-1 again in a heartbeat!

A pine tree fell on my roof and damaged it in several places. I called A-1 Roofing and Siding. Jim Higgins came out and was very helpful by putting on some temporary covers over the holes. I was worried that the insurance adjuster would just approve a couple of patches or that he would miss some of the damage. Jim agreed to come back and meet with the insurance adjuster (while I was at work). The end result was approval for a completely new roof. The A-1 crew came a few days later and did the entire job in one day. They did a great job cleaning up and were leaving as I got home. Roof looked great. The service I received was exceptional, and I was highly impressed with the overall professionalism of this company. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking roof repair or replacement.

Bob Higgins of A-1 Roofing called to find out exactly what the issues were at my home. After giving him details, he said he did not believe it was a roofing problem but something else. However, he would come out and inspect the situation first-hand and advise me. Mr. Higgins did come out the next day and confirmed it was not a roofing problem as he thought. He advised me on the matter. I was very pleased with him and intend to use them on a siding matter in spring or summer.

Professional and punctual. Got back with us quickly with pricing. We did not choose to have A1 complete our project solely on cost. We were able to have the work done by a local roofer and we saved about $500.00. A1 seemed reputable and honest.

They came to my house and they gave me an estimate in June. I signed the labor form so from my part my side was done but they just didn't contact me back and I was not happy with that.

They were really good to work with overall! They called and emailed, so their communication was great. Their price was pretty fair and they did a good job.

We contacted Jim Higgins with A-1 when we decided to get a second quote to replace our roofing shingles. Jim was very knowlegeable and not just a roofing salesman. He quoted the job according to my specification and the crew completed the job accordingly. After watching Jim's crew it was obvious that they had done this for many years and operated like a "well-oiled" machine.

Met with Jim to get estimate approximately two weeks prior to actual work. He explained the timetable, called me 2 days before to confirm, and the crew arrived as planned. Work was done in a timely manner, and he called to let me know about the additional repair once the old shingles were removed and he could more easily check for damage. Excellent job of cleanup....to date, I have found only 1 roofing nail in the yard and fortunately none in the driveway.

The owner came out promptly and inspected the roof and provided an estimate the next day via email. I called several weeks later to set up the job. The owner honored the original quote and set up a time to do the work. The work was done by a subcontractor in a timely fashion. The only problem I had with the experience is that I could not get an exact time and date that the work was going to be done. I had to call/email to confirm when the worker was coming to do the job. I think that I should have received a courtesy communication confirmation that the work was going to be done on X date at roughly X time. All in all, I'm satisfied with A-1. But I think the communication and follow-up could be improved. I did not feel appreciated as a customer.

A-1 Roofing and Siding did a wonderful job! Bob Higgins was great to work with. He gave us a thorough estimate and always responded to our calls and emails very quickly. The crew that removed our old roof and put on the new roof did an excellent job. They were on time, polite and completed the roof in two days. They did a good job covering our shrubs and cleaning up the nails and debris afterward. I would highly recommend them! I am so glad I went with A-1 Roofing and Siding to do our roof work. The new roof looks great and the whole process went so smoothly. I couldn't ask for more!

Jim Higgins came out the same day I called to exame the roof. The next day I had an estimate. After the insurance company denied the claim Jim had his crew replacing the shingles within three days. Only took one day to complete the shingle replacement. All of the trash was cleaned up and you could barely tell roofers ever came out! This was my first roof job and it went as smooth as I could imagine.

I left home for work around 8:00 a.m. before the workers arrived. When I arrived home around 6 p.m. the job was done and the area was clean. If I had not known they had come, I would have sworn that a magician had done the job! Great work, at a great price! I was kept informed about any troubled areas and any price adjustments. I was very pleased with this company.

The crew was quick and efficient. They did good work and cleaned up afterword very nicely.

The A1 crew were outstanding. They arrived on time in the morning. The set up was fast and before I knew it they had the entire roof uncovered and prepped for the new shingles. After lunch they laid the architectual shingles I ordered and were finished before dinner. They did a lot of work very quickly and professionally, and when the job was done, they cleaned up the old shingles, nails and wood. My roof looks great. If you need a new roof, these are the guys to go to. Amazing work at a good price.

Had to have our entire roof replaced. Had never gone through such an extensive home repair, but Jim came out a few times to explain the process and eas extremely patient with us. When his crew came out they where friendly and professional. They made sure not to damage any of the landscaping and cleaned after they were done every day. The roof installation went very well. Chris and his team made sure that there were no left over nails using a metal detector. They cleaned up our old roof, as well as the new roof trash, and hauled it away.

Repair has held up to a couple of recent major storms and i don't expect to have a problem with it in the future.

Chris is personable & knowledgeable. The help w/ our insurer was greatly appreciated. Chris brought shingle samples to choose from, went over contract & details with us clearly. We were impressed that they did not ask for any payment until the job was finished -- that's extremely rare! Once the crew started, work was quick & efficient. They worked late the first night, from 7 a.m. till dark on a very hot, muggy day, and finished the job in 2 days. Pleasant professional workers. Cleaned up thoroughly & carefully. They even replaced some plants that were damaged. We are pleased with the result & the look of the roof and would recommend them to others.... ...with one caveat. Once the deal is made, communication with the client needs to improve. Chris gave us an approximate date -- 3 weeks or so in the future -- when they could start. As he noted, that depended on how jobs scheduled before ours worked out, depending on weather and unexpected work needed on those projects. There was quite a bit of rain in that time & we had no problem with delay. However, I didn't hear from them again unless I called, and receiving a response took a day or 2. The original target was around 6/15. When the 22nd arrived without any word, I phoned & Chris promised to check as soon as he got back to his office & give me more info that night or the next morning. Nothing. On the 24th I left a message that if he could not call me back with a date to begin, I would find someone else. Materials then arrived the next day & a crew that Monday. People don't mind waiting on these sorts of projects; anyone understands that it's impossible to predict timing exactly. But customers must be kept in the loop. A quick phone call from anybody around the time discussed, with an update on timing is a necessary courtesy. It's a matter of professionalism -- and if you promise to return a call at a certain time, do it. They did a very good job, obviously experienced & careful. A little tweaking of communication & they'd be perfect!
