To begin with we were told that the roof was in good shape and that the insurance company would not pay for a new roof. That was no problem with us as we were just wanting to get it fixed and the owner (David) said that he could fix it. (We had a leak). The quote was given and we went with it. Over a six month period, numerous calls because of not only first leak but for additional leaks after their “work” we are out $1900 with a leaking roof still! The last text that I sent to ask them to come back I got a return text telling me that the roof was worn out and “what all needed to be done”. Then they had the gaul to tell me that they could provide us with a quote for the additional work. The owner’s wife is rude. She is usually the contact person that takes the calls and text. I would never recommend this company for anything!

We paid Shearin Roofing almost $10,000 to fix the leaks in our flat roof. They claim to have over 40 years in business, but I don't think they know how to fix roof leaks. Mrs. Shearin told me that they guaranteed their work with for 5 years. But the roof has been leaking for 4 years now and they can't fix it. Here's how their warranty works after they get you cash. 1. It rains. 2. You call to report the leaks and leave a message on their answering machine. 3. They show up and spend about 5 minutes on your roof and leave. 4. Repeat process. This has been going on for years and its getting old. I am spending a fortune replacing ceiling tiles all over our building. Get references and make sure the references are not related.

This company put a roof on a home that I bought less than 7 years ago. The roof is STILL under warranty ( but only if I was the one that paid for the roof, which I did not). The family that I purchased the home from, and who are still my neighbors, paid for the new roof. When I moved in, I had numerous leaks with this roof. Shearin Roofing came out and did look at it, ATTEMPTING to fix their own poor job. It didn't work. I asked them to come out to fix it again and they said that I wasn't the one who purchased the roof, so it was no longer covered. I had other roofers come by and look at this work and they were both in disbelief at how bad the job was! Architectural shingles were laid on top of other shingles and they put in too many nails, causing damage. The shinglers were not even laying flat on the roof edge. THEY DID A SHOTTY job. I would AVOID this company at ALL cost. They say they have been in business for over 40 years... Miracles DO still happen, because they continue to get work! They ALSO did the detached garage and it is HORRIBLE as well. I can only HOPE that anyone reading this will reconsider giving these people your hard earned money!

They came right over and gave me an estimate. They were able to do my roof as soon as possible, but I needed more time to decide on this major purchase.

Not well. They left a ton of nails in my yard. There is exposed wood, unattached shingles, etc.

They've always done what they said they would. They are reasonably priced and a family-firm. They've worked for me many times on many different projects.

The job went well. They did a nice job on the house and 2 out buildings. I did have 2 problems with the job. Since I was furnishing the materals for the job they had given me an estimate on how much drip edge was needed. That turned out to be 5 pieces short of what was actually needed. It was a special order of material and I could not get any more, so I had to substitute a different style of drip edge. When I got that in it took about a month before I could get them to come by to install it. I have also found about 10 roofing nails around the house and in the driveway. One of which I found in my foot after it went through my shoe. This resulted in a trip to the Dr. and a tetnus shot.

Seems to be done alright. Roof isn't leaking.
