Ben Webb met us promptly at the new home we are buying. He then conducted his review of the crawlspace, roof, driveway, and sidewalks. He then came inside checking the attic as well as each room. I was very impressed with his thoroughness. My realtor had recommended him to me because of the meticulous manner in which he had conducted a recent home inspection for another client of hers. My realtor said he was a 3rd generation builder, so he knew his trade from the inside out. That was evident to me when I pointed out a patch job done over the doorway of one room, which showed up as a crack in the chalkboard on the room on the oppsite side. Mr. Webb went back into the attic to verify there was no water leakage problem from the roof that may have led to the repair. He also crawled back under the crawlspace to check the structural supports under that section of the house. His knowledge of the building craft was evident when he reassured me that most likely the patch was due to normal settlement of the house in the first couple of years. After finishing his review, Mr. Webb told me I would receive his report in 3 days, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it in my email that same night. I would definitely recommend Mr. Webb to anyone looking for a quality home inspection at a reasonable price.
