Bailey's Seamless Gutterin

They were highly recommended by another local vendor but I left 2 messages and could not even get a return call.

The good points: They were prompt and the price was good. They came to give an estimate and to do the work at the times we were told to expect them. They also completed the work well within the estimated time for completion. The bad points however far out weigh any of the positives. We've had problems with the installation from the very first time it rained. The gutters are seamless except of course at the corners and at the end of runs where the caps are placed. We have leaks in both of those areas. Yes, I can probably use some silicone sealant and stop the leaks. But I shouldn?t have to: That?s what I paid them $650 for. Even more troubling though is that in one area an addition to the house required that the gutters there be placed at a height of about 4 inches higher with the original part of the house. This we knew would require simply butting one end of the gutter against the other. If done correctly that wouldn?t have been a problem. But it wasn?t. When Baileys incorrectly installed the higher section they forced it up and under the shingles on the original part of the house. This forced the shingles up and exposed the plywood to the elements. Rain and snow can easily blow into this area and soak the plywood leading to leaks and rotten wood on the roof and eaves of the house. This area was simply left exposed; when had the installation been reversed, there?d have been no problem what so ever. Furthermore, we were not informed of this problem. I found it when after a rain I used a ladder to see why our new seamless gutters were leaking. When the job was complete we were told ?If you have any problems just give us a call.? We did, got their answering machine, left a message asking them to call us back as soon as possible. All these months later and we?re still that return call. (not) I?ve decided to call another company to see if they can repair the mess that Baileys left us with.
