Contractor built house below flood plane requirements and did not build the house per the contractual agreement. House was built one foot too low. Living in an area where hurricanes and flooding is a regular occurence, the requirements are to be followed strictly. Builder not only refuses to address the (serious) issue, they have also refused to fix the un-related punch list items.

Glen and his crew assisted on two major issues at our home in Corolla, dealing with mold in 2014 and in 2015 identifying the home's crawl space had been incorrectly enclosed with no venting by the original contractor. Grand Plan is part of Renaissance Construction in Manteo, NC, both companies are top-shelf. Steve Daniels who is General Contractor oversees Grand Plan Restoration and works with Glen to add superb knowledge and expertise to make the company one of the best in the Outer Banks.

This is a family run business that takes that seriously. Our realtor recommended Renaissance but we were skeptical of building due to the stressors involved in it, typically. Steve Daniels and his family/staff won us over from day one and we have not been disappointed and we are five months into the house. Their concern for quality construction, fast response times, and flexibility during construction was exceptional. I cannot recommend them enough for a quality, economical, low-stress build.
