 + -1 moreI like them a lot. They do a really good job and they always show up. That includes everything, so I think the price is pretty good. They always show up every week on time.
Description of Work: They do my lawn every week on Thursdays. They do the aerating. They put fertilizer on it. They put grass seed on it. That includes everything. They do that every year. Then, they trim the bushes in the front also when at least to do that. That includes all of that.

 + 1 moreJoshua did those things on March 31, 2014: The mulching was poorly done (not enough to cover area adequately) That was the last time we saw him, although his program included work in May to kill weeds and feed the grass for the summer,
Description of Work: He gave us a suggested land and bush care program which we agreed to. The first step was a fertilizer and pre-emergence application. Cutting down 3 apple trees U scouring the stump with Epson Salt application, Fertilization of trees and bushes, and mulching an area in our backyard.

 + -1 moreWe love Joshua - we've been with his company nearly 4 years. He really, truly cares about doing a great job. Our yard always looks wonderful, and I'll get e-mails from him sometimes about his plans for our yard - in fact, I had a decorative bush dying in the front yard, and he asked if it was OK if he brought a new one to install from his business to replace it (for no extra charge). The service we receive is nothing like you would from a large chain company. I can't recommend him enough.
Description of Work: annual lawn maintenance (lawn mowing & edging, hedge trimming, aerating, treatments as necessary). Additional payments for pine straw twice/yr.

Description of Work: I discovered Joshua and Greenman Landscaping through Angie's list about two years ago and we have been over the moon with the services that he has provided. Joshua's personal service, attention to detail and willingness to take on difficult projects is unparalleled. His team is extremely professional and take great pride in their work. In the last two years Joshua and team have done the following for my family, all at reasonable prices and all with a high degree of service and detail: Lawn Care and Maintenance:- Weekly Mowing, trimming, weeds, etc.- Season lawn treatments / Seasonal tree and shrub care Plant Installations:- Removed invasive and non-native species- Helped source and installed native trees, shrubs and ferns Hardscaping:- Built a dry creek bed out of local pebbles for a drainage break in our lawn- Built a Bavarian style Beer Garden (patio and walls) in our yard and took on the painting and installation of a 20 ft Maypole- Builds, mulches and maintains beds in and around beer garden Detail Cleaining:- Cleans gutters seasonally- Washes driveway, sidewalks and house

 + 0 moreWe located Joshua and his company on line, he had great reviews so we contacted him.We were also able to send him a couple of pictures of the property and explain what we were looking for. Joshua got right back to us and was able to go to the property and gave us a verbal quote, he followed up with a written quote. As promised his team was able to provide the service on the date. His team really exceeded our expectations,evening perserving some hostas and lillies hidden in the tall grass, and as a bonus was able to send us some pictures. We absolutely are thrilled with the outcome and would recommend them to anyone. Wow was our first words. They did a tremendous transformation of the property,this is hard work, we come from an excavation company background ourselves. And they ended up doing this as promised, even though it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year. Thanks Joshua
Description of Work: .We contacted Greenman Land Management and explained we had a property on the market, and we needed the wholefront back and roadside mowed and trimmed. It was knee high grass, and was sorely in need of sprucing up. Joshua gave us several options, and also gave us his best professional advice on trimming the front shrubs and mulching theproperty for now. We planned on doing more extensive work in the future, but for now needed it spruced up to the best they could provide based on our budget. It was extra for the mulch, delivery and layout.. but it was well worth it. We had people looking at the property and his work really put a sparkle to the house.

 + 1 moreWe have been w/Greenman for nearly a year now. When we first decided to hire Joshua, our yard wasn't looking too good - it was covered in "brown patch" and looked pretty bad. He went over the annual options he had & suggested to wait to see if the brown patch would go away by fall w/proper care (which it did & saved me a bunch of $$). At first, I balked at the price tag (which we pay in monthly installments), but when I figured out the cost we used to spend to have someone mow the lawn, fertilize, trim all the bushes/hedges, it worked out about the same. But let me just say, the service is heads & tails above the rest. We used to use national firms, and you just can't get the attention from them as you do from someone who runs their own company. Joshua really & truly cares about how our yard is looking - and let me say it now looks fantastic. When we were having trouble w/an area of grass (under a large oak tree), he sent a dirt sample to a lab to have it analyzed to see what it needed. You won't get better care from anyone (in my opinion), and your yard will look fantastic.

When heavy rains and lightning forced the guys to quit early one day, Josh called to explain the situation and give us options on when the job could be finished. I appreciated the great communication instead of just assuming that extending the job into the weekend would work for us. He gave us several options and allowed us the choose what worked best for our schedule. The end product has been fantastic. We were so happy we decided to hire Josh to take care of the rest of the seasonal maintenance of our property.
Description of Work: When we moved from our uptown condo to our new home in Midland, my wife and I knew nothing about how to take care of our more than 5 acres. Josh and his guys have been amazingly helpful and patient in answering our questions and explaining which would be the best direction to take with our landscaping. Josh suggested clearing out the undergrowth of a wooded part of our yard to create a nice natural area and give the dogs plenty of extra space to roam and sniff. It has made our yard look even bigger, and the dogs and I love walking through it. He also described which trees would be best to leave alone, which needed help, and which needed to go. It's obvious he loves what he does, and takes great pride in educating his clients about their land.

 + 0 moreJoshua arrived on time. He provided an estimate prior to proceeding with the work. He did a great job aerating and seeding my lawn for a very fair price. He also provided me a quote on removing some brush as well as an estimated schedule. I told him to proceed. This was not a difficult job but it went very smoothly with no surprises. That seems to be unusual in this day and age.
Description of Work: I needed my lawn aerated and seeded for the fall. I also had some brush that needed to be removed and wanted some ideas on landscaping.
