Chris was superb! He couldn't get to the house for a while, so he told us what to do in the mean time (we had already vacuumed up the water) - remove base trim, bring in fans, and so on. While at the house he was very polite, professional, and helpful. We wound up just replacing the floor (we were thinking about that anyway), so we didn't require Chris' services, but I can and will recommend him in the future.
Description of Work: Our washing machine flooded our laundry room when an internal hose came loose.

We were VERY pleased with Chris and the job he did for us. He was an answer to prayer at getting our mold cleaned up in the basement. He was professional and always kept us informed of what he was doing. Now our basement has no moldy, musty smell whatsoever and we can sleep at night knowing we have a healthy environment down there. Everything went as smooth as silk. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: We had a problem with mold in our finished downstairs rooms. We researched a number of companies and PuroClean stood head and shoulders above the others. We knew very quickly after meeting Chris and Brandon that they were undoubtedly the company to hire and did so before they left. Not once during the week long job did we EVER have a concern or any problems with the crew or with Chris. When they said they were going to do something, they did it. Frankly, they took what, for us, what was a very stressful situation and turned it into a stress free solution for our mold problem. They were always on time, professional and extremely informative. At the end of the workday they reported to us what they had completed that day and what work was to be completed the next day. If during the day they encountered any previously undocumented areas of concern they came upstairs and informed us of what they had discovered. Even with discovering additional areas that needed cleaning, they completed the job one day early and under budget. Chis also offered us the opportunity to continue using the air-scrubber for 2 extra days at no charge. Best experience we have had in years.

Chris came to our house on the next business day and did a thorough examination of the premises, explicitly explaining his findings and answering ALL of our questions. While we did not have mold, he gave us excellent insight in having the carpeting cleaned and mold-prevention tips. Chris is very professional and ethical, and we would certainly use him should the need arise. He was a pleasure to deal with.

It went very smoothly start to finish.
Description of Work: Mold remediation needed to be done from a faucet that leaked in the master bathroom. Chris the owner came out and told us what needed to be done. When he showed up with Brandon and John they got started right away setting up the air scrubber and laying plastic down to protect the floor. Brandon worked inside the house while John worked under the house in the crawlspace. it took 2 days to complete the job. All of them were very pleasant to work with and told me everything they were doing.

Several suggestions were made; no charge for service call, quick moisture test readings or advice. It became a "peace of mind" service call. If the issue had been more extreme, Puroclean would be my choice for remediation due to the professionalism, openness, and quality of service shown during the visit. (note: service date is an estimate...)

He came out free of charge, arrived exactly on time and quickly investigated our concerns.He took photos of a few other problems he found in our attic, offering us several solutions and discussing the prices up front. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend Puro Clean of Linwood for any mold issue. I was pleasantly surprised that the visit was free of charge, as I've had many other companies charge a fee just to come and assess situations. Again, if you want an upstanding company that will tell you the truth and offer solutions during the first visit, call Chris at PuroClean in Linwood.

 + -1 moreHad very bad water and mold damage in my home involving not only the crawl space but my first floor flooring and some of the first floor ceiling. Puroclean in Linville stepped in after another company welched on me. Chris Nowak bent over backward to understand and then clarify the situation, kept me in the loop and worked with me and my budget. Staff courteous, professional, very hard working and honest. Final cost less than I had expected. Overall a silver lining to a very unpleasant set of circumstances. Unreserved recommendatiion. Now if I could only say the same about my homeowners.....
Description of Work: Cleaned mold and water damage from leaking water heater and performed mold remediation first in entire crawl space and then first floor ceiling and almost the entirety of the first floor.

The work done was everything as expected. The PuroClean crew showed up on time each day and was very professional. The crawl space is now clean and the odor is no longer coming from the vents. If I had to use three words to describe this company, they would be honest, knowledgeable and professional.
Description of Work: We had a light mildew problem in home's crawl space that was first discovered as a slight odor from the a/c vents. After having the hvac checked and no problem was found, we called a vent cleaning company who suggested we have a mold remediation company look at the situation. We called the first company we found and they came out to check the situation -- not only did they scare us, but they were very expensive. We called several others companies that provided better quotes. After being confused with everything we were getting, I decided to check Angie's list. This is where I found PuroClean. After reading the reviews I decided to give Chris a call. I was very happy that I made the call. Chris answered the phone first thing in the morning and set up a time that day to visit. Chris and his crew showed up and reviewed the situation. We needed to have the mildew cleaned from the crawl space, insulation removed and replaced, and a vapor barrier laid on the floor. We were very impressed with Chris, his knowledge, and honesty -- we actually scheduled him to do the work before we received the estimate. Yes, Chris made us feel very comfortable and confident with his work.

I was treated with total dignity and respect and he made me feel as though he cared about me and my needs personally and not just an address with a paycheck at the end of it. Should I ever need water/mold/fire restoration services again, Chris Nowak's PuroClean company is who I will call - without any doubt. Chris runs a professional shop in every way. He was prompt in responding to my request and maintained exemplary communication through the process. He accommodated the contractor's scheduling changes without batting an eye. He is properly trained/certified and his knowledge was evident as he evaluated the damage and recommended treatment. He avoided overkill and upselling. When he felt it necessary to leave the air scrubber for longer than originally proposed, he only charged me a small fraction of the usual daily cost. All the work was scheduled and completed quickly, efficiently and with careful detail. Thank you, Chris, for making our very difficult situation with the contractor less stressful. Chris was very honest, upfront and professional. Responsive and easy to talk to about our old mold situation. We would highly recommend PuroClean over any other mold remediation service.
Description of Work: I called Chris when we tore out carpet in a new house we bought and discovered old water stains and toilet leaks in the floorboards. He came out promptly, accessed the areas and cut out the stained sections of floor, cleaned the remaining boards and joists with a commercial grade peroxide cleaner to remove any mold that might be there and used a hepa commercial grade vacuum to pull out all debris and dust.

Chris came and inspected the mold in my home and showed me what was causing it and how to deal with it. This was a second opinion. The first company I had out here put a price tag on cleaning at 10,000.00. Said I would have to remove all carpeting. Puroclean showed me that this was not the case. Simple fixes to the air flow in my home and deep cleaning after it is fixed is all that is required. This showed me that they are a legitimate company and do not try and scam to get money. The consult did not cost me a dime and the advice was sound. I would definitely recommend them.

I discovered pale green mold on the walls of our exterior storage room. Called Chris to come take a look and help us identify what needed to be done. Called on a Thursday morning, he came out Friday morning. He quoted us what I thought was a fair price to clean up the mold (involved washing walls, not removing material). But he said it looked like there was a leak somewhere in the room, and that they would prefer to wait for the leak to be addressed before dealing with the mold. Which is perfectly reasonable: if water comes back, so will the mold. He looked around the room, along the roof line, helping me to identify where the issue might be. He walked around the exterior of the house, pointing out areas of water damage, rot, concern, etc. He went under the house and looked for mold and water damage. He was professional and polite and thorough. While I'm not looking forward to addressing all the issues with the exterior of our house, I am grateful to have had his help in finding those issues. When we get to the point where we're ready to remediate the mold, we'll definitely call Chris.
