Over all this experiance was HORRIBLE!! I would never refer or use him again, he workers were very lazy and wouldn't take responability for their wrong doing. They used our carport as a dump and used our trashcans to put other trash in. We had to clean out THEIR trash from our carport. We had to pick up after them every day. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THEM NO MATTER WHAT!!! His price was unreasonable and he was very rude. If we came up with a question it seemd liked he had an answer but it wasnt true!!
Description of Work: This company was referred to me by my Aunt. DJ enterprise did the bathroom in her house for a resonable price. So i gave him a call around the middle of september 2012. I talked to the owner and he gave my husband and I an estimate on the work we wanted done. We had just inheriated a house that was built back in the1960 and i wanted it update. So he sends us the first estimate which included putting an arch way in, sanding and staining the hard wood removing kitchen cabinets and putting in a patio door. The estimate for this project was right around $5000. I was very excited about it, compared to other people it was pretty cheap. So they started the work on that following Monday. I meet all the workers and they seemed nice. Well i go over to check on things after the first day, and the only thing they had done was towrn down the cabinets. I couldnt believe it. They had been there since 8am and this all they had down. They had trash every where, they left there lunch trash all over the house and outside. It was like they didnt even know what a trash can or bag was. As the week went on my husband would go and check on the house every day to make sure they were doing things right. They started working on the arch way that is between rooms and all they did was cut a 3 ft wide door in the middle of my living room. I didnt ask for a door i wanted an ARCH WAY and that wasnt what i was getting. I called Mr. Dave ( the owner) and told him he need to fix it or else, He said he would come look at it and see what he could do. So the talked to the workers and told them to make it bigger. They did and i loved it. But everything they did wasnt right or what i wanted. The next project they did was sanding the floor. This house had wall to wall carpeting and i pulled it all up along with the tac strips. the hard wood was beautiful, and the living room floor was already stained a beatiful color that he said he could match. The following day i go to look at the hard wood and the whole house was sanded down. I couldnt believe it,come to find out they couldnt match the stain, so sanded and sealed the whole house with out our consent or knowledge. He told us after that was all done 3 day later on why he did it. There was dust every where from sanding. I understand that is gets dusty in a house, but not cleaning up after is part doing work and getting paid. They then did the patio door into the back way and had to to cut out the brick and take out some windows. All the windows they touched were busted and they just left the brick pilled up in the back yard and killed our beautful grass, because they were to lazy to put it where is should have went. while working in the kitchen they brought it to our attention that the sub flooring was rotted because of a leak they had been happening for years. He charged us $250 to pull of a piece of panling and then an extra $75 to replace the flooring. After he completed that we didn't seem him or his people for almost 2 weeks! Mr. Dave told my husband that we was starting a $100,000 remodeling project and he would get to us when he had time. I couldnt believe someone would say that when we have paid him so much,. Our next project was to have title put down in our kitchen and have dry wall put up, this kitchen was maybe 250 square feet. He charged us $1000 dollar. We bought everthing from the board you put down first to the grout. They came and lied half the tile on a friday afternoon and the rest sunday. Mr. Dave told us that he wanted to wrap up the project and he out by Tuesday at the latest. I was completely happy with that until it was Friday and he wasnt done. By this time he has been working on our house for almost a month and a half. They were finally done with the kitchen that following Wednesday. My husband had to finish sanding the dry so i could paint and not see any seams. After doing all this i had to spend a whole day cleaing the house, not only the inside but the outside also. The inside was covered in dust, it was everywhere. They didnt even pick up a broom to clean up anything. We had to wipe down all the walls and vaccum everything becasue of all the dust. It was like they did it just to p*** us off. Once i found out that they tile and grout had been laid i wanted to see how it looked. As i'm looking at the tile there are two chips that had appered over night. I couldn't wrap my head around paying them $1000 for the tile and then them cipping it. I was furious, i wanted him to fix it, i didnt care how complicated it was. To this day it is still not fixed. They dry wall was horrible, he charged us $150 to move out the outlets and not one on them was touched. So he was charging us for things he didnt do. By the end of September I was so mad i couldnt talk to the man. Only my husband could deal with him. Mr. Dave would call my husaband and tell him that he wanted his money, he needed to get paid. He got paid 3 weeks after the job was done.

First let me say that I am not a professional. However, I have renovated 1 house to include plumbing, electrical, drywall and flooring, 2 commercial buildings and built a 7,000 square foot commercial building all without the aid of a contractor. In my experience, DJ Home Enterprises was the worst sub contractor/contractor I have ever dealt with. His work was substandard and most of his workers had no regard they were working in a home. They used my bathroom in the house and left it filthy. They left cigarette butts, soda cups, ect everywhere in the yard and on the deck. Mr. Pershbacher blamed my painters, electrician or plumber. However in the previous renovations I have done, I used my other subs and they never left a job site in that manner. He ask me to give him $8,000 to start the job. After I fired him, I ask him to finalize my bill. He charged me for work that was not complete or so badly done it had to be repaired or redone. The biggest problem with my bill was that charged me $4,600 for flooring that was never installed. To repair or redo what his crew messed up has cost me thousands. His crew also used my old cabinets that I had sold as work benches damaging them. They left their construction trash everywhere on a daily basis always blaming it on the other contractors even though it was obviously drywall. At this time, Mr. Perschbacher has not refunded my money for flooring that was never received. He told me posting a negative review and photos was beneath me and I should just move on. For photos and a more details of my experience, please go to www.Fayettevillepetresort.com/house.htm In February, 2012 I hired David Perschbacher of DJ Home Enterprises to do the framing, drywall and carpentry work at my home that we bought to renovate. I hired him based on simple repairs he had done that were called for by our inspector prior to closing. According to my inspector, they were done very well. Mr. Perschbacher requested a check in the amount of $8,000 to begin the job which I paid on February 15th. The initial part of the job went smoothly until there was delay due to my plumber having another commitment. Mr. Perschbacher understandably moved his crew to another job. Once my plumber roughed in the plumbing, we waited about a week and half for them to get back to my home, still not a problem. The problems began when the drywall in the family room was installed, taped, mudded but not sanded. The ?pass through? was closed, dry walled, taped, mudded, and very bumpy and not sanded. The closet was framed up, dry walled, taped, mudded, but sanded very little. The bathroom was also dry walled, but not taped in places, mudded in some places, but not sanded. I asked Mr. Perschbacher to please get the walls ready for the painter to prime. He promised they would be done by the end of the week. They weren?t. I called on Friday and he assured me they would be done by Wednesday. On that Wednesday I was told by Mr. Perchbacher that my walls were ready to be painted. My painter came in and painted the downstairs and left ?the walls were HORRIBLE! The seams were very visible the entire length and width of every walll. I called Mr. Perchbacher and he blamed my painters saying the painter had told him they would sand the walls. Keep in mind, that was Mr. Perchbacher?s job, not the painters. Once again, he said they would complete the drywall and be out so the painters could go in by March 21st. On Tuesday the 20th, his crew never showed up, they came for a couple of hours on Wednesday, till noon on Thursday. . Friday the 23rd Mr. Perchbacher assured me, the job would be done by Wednesday the 28th. He sent in a worker to sand them but the job still wasn?t complete. On Tuesday the 27th,the drywall in the bathroom was not taped and mudded in places, some areas didn?t even have drywall. The drywall in the hallways and the repairs to the badly installed drywall were not done. The bead board didn?t have corner trim and wasn?t cut to fit the window or the shower. I spoke to him telling him the trim looked horrible, the walls weren?t done and asked him when they would be repaired and when could they start my flooring. He was very short with me and told me he didn?t know and hung up. On Wednesday, I left a message asking him to call me. He didn?t. I text him that I needed to know when the job would be done. I text him on Thursday asking him to please let me know what was going on?he never replied. He texted me on Friday asking me if he could call me. I told him no at that point I was ?done? with his company and asked him to finalize my bill. When I received my bill, I was astounded to see that he billed me for flooring I never received in the amount of $4600 and charged for items that weren?t complete. Add to that it has cost me thousands of dollars to repair, redo or replace what DJ Enterprises did. I highly DO NOT recommend them.
Description of Work: This company was hired to do drywall, carpentry work, flooring and tile. I highly encourage anyone considering home renovations NOT to hire this company.

Terrible experience. The deck is falling apart and the floors were not finished. He failed to place flashing between the deck and the home. The wood is now rotting. The hardwood floors are cupping and stain was sprayed all over the walls. I had to pay another company to fix and finish the job.
Description of Work: Contracted to have deck installed and hardwood floors installed and refinished.

Things went very bad. This contractor was used by our realtor, and we were told he was a reliable person and did a good job. We had to call him back on most jobs because either the item was not fixed or it was finished sloppily. He was argumentative when we asked about work that we agreed upon that he had forgotten to do. The brick that he put up was several times more than the estimated price, and we were never told until it was up. He obviously didn't check his workers. He requested payment several times before finishing the job, claiming he had to pay his workers. We were approached by one of the companies that he contracted with because he was withholding pay on several jobs. When asked to fix mismatched trim and child gates that he installed that were wearing grooves in the new deck, he hung up on us! I would not recommend this contractor.
Description of Work: Water heater TPR valve repaired, attic fan repaired, child gate on deck, pumped and filled oil reservoir for oil heat, closed in carport with electrical outlets, linoleum.
